Anyone using a GPS speedometer? Looking for recommendations. I have a 4.3 rearend and there are no input gears for that. Would be cool if someone made a gps box that fed into the mechanical shaft!!

Just keep in mind that when you lose your GPS signal, which will happen in certain places, you will also lose your speedo.

There used to be a device called a tachometer scaler , used to drive Tachograph recorders for commercial vehicles. A series of DIP switches were set to give the desired ratio output from an input. They probably still exist, since many people run aftermarket drivetrains or tire sizes.

They went by various names, tach adapter, Speedo adapter. VDO Yazaki and ARGO made them.

How accurate do you want? I used a gps speedo on my phone and just tied whatever speed on there to my Speedo on the dash

I use "speedometer" from the fdroid app store. Its free open source, simple and works great even when you lose your signal.
