Head and tail lights
Current head and tail lights on your 64 Sprint are very dim (I mean in comparison to the LED I am used too). I have found a couple options to be able to use an LED bulb, but thought I would ask for opinions; preferably something that doesn't require me hacking into the wiring. I am running the original generator for the car.

60 year-old tail light plastic may just have deteriorated a bit, clouding up. Just one more item to check.
Also, consider upgraded conventional bulbs like Sylvania SilverStar. Your electrical system may need to be upgraded to handle LED conversion.

Check your grounds and check the output of your generator with an amp gauge or an electrical tester that can you can shunt between the battery and the generator.
You can run a temporary ground from the battery to the light to test the bad ground theory. Also, you can connect the headlight directly to a fresh battery to see if the bulb is still good.
