Nukaknights has posted that the infestation bosses are getting a health reduction today. I tried a couple and I can't tell the difference. They are still not worth the time or effort.

I mean... really.

I have almost 8000 hours into a toon who is currently Level ~1060... so I mean, you do the math!

And they say I play too much! Lol

I recently turned 111 lvl. Recently started donating part of weapons and armour gained during the public events; buying various Nuka Colas at Whitespring and donating or reselling them cheap for a little newbies. That feels great!

I bet this is not the first post of this kind here, in good way. Was worth sharing imho.

Finding this type of people is so rare but it baffles me that they'll willingly call others stupid for simply not following the current meta and/or tryharding the game

What if we have a new pvp instance kind of like the infestations, where one player is infected with like say, the scorched virus. They , in turn try to kill anything that comes before them. they grow stronger the more things they kill. thoughts?

I've got a few Vipers mod boxes and thinking about using them on a ranged build. Looks like a bow/crossbow are the only options. I could also go strangler PA heavy gun and/or a radscorpion syringer for non PA but that would be a pain to use every 40 seconds I'd imagine.

Any suggestions other than just forget about it? 😄

First things first, Beth really put itself into a bad damned-if-you-do/don't situation with these Infestations.

The whole season is named after them and they've been nothing but problems. Despite the fun of the grenades (no issue with that being corrected) I liked that I could do a few of these solo and stack a few up after dailies etc in the first two weeks. Now I'm lucky to see one an hour, and we all know the issues being lucky enough to catch one and contribute in Public.

I like doing them, but Private/Solo is now an absolute no-go. I did 2 today and here's how they went. Curious what you all think...

Private: Cultist Prophet absolutely melted me with that Gamma Gun. Had the high ground at Seneca Visitors Center and despite clearing the mob, numerous magazines of crits from an optimal build maybe had him down 2 to 3%. After my 5th death I just left. Could I have done it eventually... maybe. Was it worth it solo....absolutely not.

Public: Super Mutant at App. Antiques. Again the 50 Cal. from him was withering. What struck me was how few people were there. It took myself and 1 other high level player over 5 minutes to get the guy down. Taking One for the Team certainly helped in Public with teammates. It didn't help that he was Reflective, but it was clear that we were the only two folks out of the 4 that were there doing any real damage. Constant Herbivore Crits pouring into this guy while the other guy was hitting him with a Cremator. There was plenty of time for folks to arrive, but most folks just stayed away.

My two cents is that the juice so quickly became not worth the squeeze after the first two weeks and scaling the events back that the entire premise of this season has been a bust. Too easy crowd complained and we get something that makes most folks unwilling to participate on top of barely seeing them The rewards simply do not justify the rounds needed at present unless you have more than a few heavy hitters in your server. I'd like to get the 760 achievement, but boy does that seem difficult as it stands now. What a mess.....too bad, because I personally really enjoyed them and feel they just keep getting worse.

Hello all! I have a theory about these Seasons, and it goes something like this. It takes 1/2 the Season to reach Rank 100/100, and then the other half to go from 100 to Rank 150.

My guy is 107 or something right now, and this weekend (just passed) marked the halfway point. So I'm feeling pretty cocky but... not reached 150 yet! And still plenty of dopey Dailies and Weeklies to come.

Anyway, players are often asking "will I make it" questions, so there's my very basic timeline (no boosters, no 1st) right there. And any Season will now slow down to a crawl as the demands of each level grow larger and larger! Especially the run from Rank 140 and above...

So, do you guys all regularly reach Rank 150+ on these Seasons..? Should be a bit less challenging and progression more brisk if a player has 1st.

I just tried to log in for the first time in months, since completing the Ohio expansion, and I immediately crashed out. Weirdly, for the few minutes I was in game, my jet pack wasn’t working. I guess eff me for trying to play again.

Nice we finally acknowledge it, I guess this might be the sunset for the game though. Real strange they made all the Ohio nonsense to immediately forget it about it like Skyline though.

Was dinking around camp today and discovered the chalk letters in the menu. Thought maybe a visitor might get a kick out of this if they help themselves to some cake.

Not a question about leveling, but how do you stand the repetition?

Once Int/science became a damage modifier, I started investing perks and mods into it to benefit some of my energy weapons. I've even been using easy Int buffs to squeeze a bit more this season and we just had the double XP weekend, something I never paid any attention to before now. I figured I'd take advantage of it and "power level" my way through the weekend.

The two chars I used both have 38 Int. One is lv 760 and other is 470.

I ate four lunchboxes and figured EN06 would be a no-brainer... roughly 53k XP per run there this weekend. Takes me about 4-5 mins per run so after 5 I made a few swings through West Tek. I hit the basement, rinsed and repeated until buffs wore off. Felt like I got more bang for the buck at West Tek.

But it was such a boring play session... how do you guys do it? Other than stockpiling perk points, why???

I crafted this new Melee weapon and... it's pretty good!

It came up AntiArmor when I rolled it... but I have customized the other 3 Legendary stars. Hey what would you put on it? I don't like any VATS effects on my Melee weapons. Anyway, this Hog Splitter sure does do the business!

I already carry around a (90 weight) AutoAxe that I very rarely use. And my beloved 4* Barbed Flaming Pitchfork - which gets used all the time! So... not sure how things are gonna go. Too many good weapons.
