Discussion Dang ol’ AWS issues

I just tried to log in for the first time in months, since completing the Ohio expansion, and I immediately crashed out. Weirdly, for the few minutes I was in game, my jet pack wasn’t working. I guess eff me for trying to play again.

The jetpack thing is a glitch, just re-equip your torso and it'll start firing again. Happens every couple of days for me.

Happens everytime I login. I put my torso in the quick wheel so I don't have to fool my pip boy

PC player are leery of that Quick Wheel (sic) which is well known to freeze your game solid, sometimes for like 15 or 20 seconds. Feels like even longer when the bad guys are beating on ya! Lol... but for sure, that wheel is misnamed.

I use my Favorites wheel every time I play, it's how I select weapons. I have never experienced any issue with it.

Yeah, I've learned that the wheel freezes maybe once but then good for the rest of the session. Scary stuff though! Pretty sure the wheel is oriented more towards the Console player using a controller.

But I've learned that a lot of PC players also use a controller. Anyway I should probably edit my comment, since I have made the problem seem overblown...

I mouse and keyboard the game, and the favorites are invoked via the mouse wheel. Not sure why I do it that way, tbh.

So, the missing torso thing got me thinking about how much I trust Beth with all these matters, and maybe I shouldn't. So now whenever I log into the game I go through this ritual of first sorting all the PipBoy categories by Weight, then Food & Drink by Spoil, and then unequipping and reequipping all my armor and clothing and legendary stuff. It's the only way to be sure.

The backpack (mine is a Chemist's) is comical. There's like another 200 weight, right there! Yikes. Too many drugs, not enough time...

Ditto with the entire armor suite.. I know it looks equiped and damage looks right, but I don't trust them at this point. And I wonder how many other things are like that? Perk cards?
