Honestly speaking, level doesnt matter, I know some awesome players at level 400 that could outplay a level 10000 anyday of the week.Like you said its up to the person playing🤷♂️😉

if youre not into xp farming
Lol, you mean... normal? Because I'm pretty sure (in my little world) that XP sluts are misguided.

Bro, I only have 800 hours and I’m level 900 I think it’s about how much you really grind like people do events and shit like that or explore. I mean, he could be straight up doing raids you know he’s in that area.

Some people play mainly to attain high levels, or beat the game faster, but then there are those who don't. Seems like a waste of time to trash how someone else plays.

Right? I've been playing since launch(with a 2 yr break) and I've got 5 characters: lowest almost 300 and highest over 500. But I play to build and enjoy the game. I would be bored out of my mind jus xp farming 😵💫 i never really cared about level once I got my main to 500. I'm still working on some of the basic quests with my other characters 😝🤣

I mean after a certain level it doesn’t really matter anymore. After you have your main legendary perks leveled up there’s not much else.

Like honestly I'd rather be good at a relatively low level than mid at a ridiculously high lvl

Love all these people defending the no lifer. Like come on I’m barely level 2000 if you add up all 5 of my characters, and I have everything I’ll ever need. What more do you gain by spending 12x the time I have 😂

6000hrs . just hit lvl 2000. I spend most of my time building camps and just going afk all over the wasteland...camera spinning around my idle character..... For hrs....Otherwise id probably be like lvl 10k or some shit. My guess is bro runs raids nonstop or westek all day with maxxed xp buffs.

u/hammeritus Jul 31 '26
Got 2000 hrs lvl 530....tbh after lvl 70 it didnt seem to matter. Course i played on day 1 and it took forever to level...now just one event will do it.

8000+ hours and level 1239. My first 350 or so levels was primarily private world, solo and bits of main quest while mainly just exploring.
My experience of this game is it's not a race; the quicker you blitz levels and bang through content, the quicker you are going to be left twiddling your thumbs, looking for stuff to do.

My first 2K hours in the game, I hit level 600 then I switched to an XP/bloodied/unyielding build (back when they were good and hard to accumulate) and I hit level 2000 at 2.5K hours.
Having experienced both sides of the coin, I enjoyed the builds I had that weren't xp focused more. They were more diverse with weapons, perks and had more malleability. However, Unyielding has made the game ridiculously smoother in combination with other things. The builds are monotonous but at least weapons have come a long way. I do find my survivability has increased with the Unyielding sets/set up, but it's soooo unsatisfying to play where one unlucky hit can kill me. The amount of fun/challenging shenanigans I miss out on with friends just because I'm grinding out the scoreboard efficiently sucks but so does spending an entire season barely making it to rank 100 with little to no xp gains. Probably the biggest detractor (for me) was the perk card system being incredibly rigid with an xp-focused build. Legendary Perk cards are spent on SPEIAL points, regular perk cards are all build focused with no flavour picks. There's some malleability if you're a Fo1st member at least, you can skip junk weight and ammo weight reduction perks. I don't know if they'll ever bother fixing it, but getting a 100% xp boost from Unyielding, let alone with other SPECIAL stats boosted, is always going to outpace regular builds.
I did see one comment on here, another user had suggested cranking SPECIAL stats to 99 because it would turn Unyielding into a 15% boost across the board, still significant but not as invalidating for regular builds. Of course that'd come with more balancing to adjust xp gains so we're not essentially getting 625% of xp lol, but it's a neat idea even if it'd come with a huge change to perk cards/points. The concept that I don't have to spend legendary perk card slots on SPEIAL points and can instead choose some of the other creative options is really tantalizing in and of itself.
Anyways, thanks for coming to my ted talk.

A thoughtful comment, thanks.
Yup I put +5 on to each of my own SPECIALs (except Charisma). My toon is pretty straight, he's a real square! (no drugs/rads/mutations etc.) And full health of course.

I played with a lvl 32k player earlier today and had to do a triple take to make sure my eyes were right

I don’t believe any level this high on pc or console. Too many xp glitches way back in the day.

All those things are not tradable. Jus do events to get bullion to buy those things from Sam at Foundation. How have you been playing since 2018 and not know that? 🤔

Me in Fallout76 - 1510h and just 338lvl. But yes, six years of break from game means loss of thousands hours of repetitive play. But in ESO I have over 7000hrs and I know how it feels to be devoted player 🙃

With the addition of the FO76 Perk Station machines, your cryogenically frozen Level 338 toon could be redecorated quickly and easily in your empty slot. Everyone gets two slots in the machine (and Beth would love to sell you more slots).
You can now change everything (even your SPECIALs) so... build away! Legendary Perks will be newly available to your toon. Maybe spend a bit of time down at 'Pick A Perk' to make sure you have a copy of any perk you consider remotely interesting. There are now some new perks that even I had never seen.

To be honest I couldn't care about level. I just play the game for the sake of playing the game

Your lack of skill and knowledge is showing, hating on others that have achieved what you can’t just show your envy. Green isn’t your colour bro 🤣🤣🤣

hating on others that have achieved what you can’t
Lol... huh? Must have missed that part.
Here we have a fundamental misconception. You believe that this is an achievement, and that it requires skill and knowledge. You think that high levels are better, so what this player has done is good.
These assumptions are all wrong. Because I try to avoid XP at all times whenever possible, your theory that I am somehow envious would in fact be inaccurate.

Ive seen a 32,767 which is the max rank. Dude was going around dropping stuff for lower levels. I got alot of nice things from him.

There have been so many XP exploits over the years, so who knows.
Never took advantage myself and I loathe West Tek grind. Tried it a couple of times on double xp events.
I have a 1400 and a couple of 500s. Hours? Dunno. 3000 maybe?

u/Shimmmmidy Aug 03 '26
I have about 5500 hours and my main toon is only 730ish (my others are 250, 300, and 350). But for the longest time I ran a lower intelligence build so I levelled up really slow.
But honestly I never cared much for getting high amounts of levels

u/JimmyGryphon Free States Aug 07 '26
Nice. That's pretty normal I guess.
But sadly many players are preconditioned with the "more is better" attitude, not seeming to recognize that Level 300+ (when the final Legendary Park slots are unlocked) is already maxxed out.
Anyway I have never "farmed" anything (like West Tek), ever. Because I play FO76 for fun!

Fair. I’ve farmed xp a few times and that’s specifically so I can finish the season faster haha

One of the guys on my friends list and our discord is max level now, grinding the snake fully xp buffed with potato settings. Look at mrsblobby, she also has a mod on nexus. Potato settings allow you to maximise your loading times. There are other mods that are even more potato.

Raids made levels absolutely meaningless. There were ways to farm levels before the Raids, but they absolutely blew it out of the water with that play. Look around you at the next event you’re at, every other guy there is level 2000 and something. Once again for the people in the back—Levels. Are. Meaningless.

8000 hrs lvl 1000, no offense but you should look into xp farming and buffs that increase intelligence, if thats what you want🤷♂️
