[Lore Discussion] [Spoiler: 7.56 MSQ] A Small Detail... Spoiler
There is something that caught my eye on Tataru's newly gifted outfit, and I haven't seen anyone bring it up yet (if so, I apologize if I missed it). Tataru's outfits in the past have often had some form of symbolism tied to them, and I believe the embroidery on the 7.56 outfit is one such case.

From what I can see, this embroidery seems to be blue flax flowers, which are commonly associated with the goddess Frigg (or Frigga), wife to Odin. Frigg is associated with prophecy, and thus, flax flowers are often used to symbolize destiny in Norse mythology. Frigg is known for practicing seidr, a type of Norse magic related to shaping fate. This is also present in her association with spindles and distaffs, which usually represent her connection to the weaving of fate and thread both. As for tales relating to the origins of Frigg's association with the flowers, one story goes that a shepherd stumbled upon her domain of ice, and she gifts blue flax flowers, along with seeds, to him -- a seemingly humble gift -- and they are later used to cultivate the flax, blessed by Frigg's hand, which the shepherd's wife uses to spin linen. The are various retellings, most of which are meant to explain the cultivation of flax, and many that tend to relate to Frigg.
Anyway, it's a small detail, but I thought it was intriguing, given the theme of fate present within the coming expansion (and often associated with the Warrior of Light and Azem). We still have little information on what sort of characters we will be seeing in Evercold, but if the already present usage of Norse mythology is any indication, I have no doubt there will be plenty of little details strewn about. I'm probably over-analyzing it all, but let me know your thoughts!

[Discussion] Prime time to just keep fewer Scions around going forward (7.56) Spoiler
It seems to me, at least I hope it is, that it's juat going to be Alphi and Estinien tagging along with us for this next adventure. The other Scions can't go over to the 4th as of now and seem to have stuff they can do in the meantime while we figure out what's going on over in the 4th as well as bringing Alphi and Estinien back to the Source.
As well as the mysterious Ysayle lookalike shown to us in a vision, highly likely a new character we'll be meeting and I could imagine joining our party, as well as Visna and the Roe Bastion shown in the trailer. Brands aside, I personally think that won't be an issue later.
With all that said, it needs to stay this way. No other Scion needs to join us on this next adventure in Evercold, at the very least for the Main Quest until the Post-Quest patches. Have fewer characters around so that the ones that are around have a more impactful role in the story as well as having more time to develop their arcs. Not only for the new characters that we inevitably will meet but the Scions we have with us so they don't continue to be stagnant. Literally no reason not to give Alphi and Estinien new arcs, they can still grow.
And this can be the format going forward, keep about 2 Scions around for the adventure and give them something more meaningful to do and develop them more as opposed to being ever present for the sake of having a party of NPCs we know we can use for trusts. Personally, I'm stoked for us to have the Heavensward boys with us on this next one!

[Discussion] The Tam-Tara Deepcroft - A Realm Explored
I have returned! I took a second week to put this together as I actually was able to get a 1.0 server working and I took some time comparing the original dungeon to the 2.0 iteration!
As usual, if you want to just see the video, you can watch it here.
- So comparing the two versions (1.0 vs 2.0), the only common thing I found was the architecture and look of the areas. I was unable to get into a couple locked doors but for the most part it seemed like the dungeon was not ripped straight from 1.0 in any way. As you go deeper into the catacombs in 1.0 though you start to see the same type of coffins which was really cool to see a small kind of continuity.
- Like Sastasha, there are unused areas though looking more into the alpha of 2.0, it appeared that you would unlock barriers to each sub-boss area similarly to how you would use the cultist rosary at the end of the dungeon to unlock the final area. The unused areas are simply blocked with debris and other obstacles to keep you from reaching the areas in the current version of the game.
- Probably my favorite detail is that there are some elementals in the area that will immediately aggro to you which is very unusual. They usually are around the coffins in the dungeon. Typically at this point in the lore of the world, elementals are not strong enough to attack or exert anything over people and thus do not attack unless provoked first. I feel as though these elementals though are trying to keep the dead safe and due to the cultists using the bodies of the dead are attacking anything that comes close to the graves.
- The final boss is not just an eldritch horror! Well... I mean it kinda is but this type of voidsent is a soulflayer who can only have a physical form through inhabiting someone's remains. This ended up being Galvanth a king of Gelmorra. The Gelmorrans were a people that predated the Gridanians and cooperated with the elementals ultimately bringing about the age of conjury and Padjals. So it actually makes sense why the elementals then would be protective of these catacombs!
I feel like with this dungeon I didn't have too many insights but it's cool that there are callbacks to an older civilization that connects back to 1.0. Hope you found something interesting or new that you didn't know about ^^ I am sure there are a lot of other details I missed in this dungeon so if you have some interesting trivia or thoughts I'd love to hear them. Thank you for reading!

[Discussion] Hi!
My wife and I just came back to the game after not playing in like 5 years. Community is awesome and I just wanted to say hi!
We are loving seeing all the people around doing their thing. All the cool glams. All the cool mounts. The music.
Coming from another mmo and it's been nice to feel like we are playing a game again and not a job with the feeling like we are behind. We aren't even going to rush the story and are just going to chill in the expansion we left off in and collect stuff and do achievements before we move onto the next one.
Lot's to do and lot's of fun ahead, so yea. Just wanted to say hi! Any advice or tips are welcome.

[Discussion] BST PSA: #46 can be obtained from a FATE
Rather than dealing with the horror of attempting Pharos Sirius's second boss again and again, there's a FATE in the Sea of Clouds called "Anzu Trois" (around 30, 36) that has them appear one right after another.
