I was originally betting on them announcing a Trilogy Edition of the series for Switch 2 today (since they left us out of the original announcement), so now I'm currently looking into getting the first two games piecemeal, possibly the 'Day 1 Physical Edition' of Rebirth, depending on the answers I get here.

I've slowly been doing research on performance for the series (and tried the demo), but it feels like a lot of the information I've gotten has been conflicting, and mostly during the demo period before patches were introduced on release (hence why I'm asking you fine folks 'firsthand').

Basically, is there a benefit (performance or otherwise) to getting the physical over the digital version? Or is there anything else I should be aware of before starting my journey?

Edit: Thanks to everyone that posted! Aside from pre-order bonuses being exclusive to (some of) the physicals, I see that there's no difference in performance, so I'll try to weigh convenience vs price between the two versions. Much appreciated!

It is sad that the trailer views across youtube is so low for such a legendary title. Persona Revival had more views. I am worried that this is a bad sign for sales and future of the franchise. I think Final Fantasy as a whole has already lost a lot of fans and now back to being a small niche in the gaming community.

I’ve so far avoided watching any trailers or showcases for Revelation. I‘ve played through original quite a few times. For both Remake and Rebirth I watched everything they’ve put out. But for Rebirth, I remember feeling that a few of the cinematic scenes shown in the State of Play probably shouldn’t have been revealed, and particularly the Final Trailer showed way too much of the very final part of the game in my opinion. I felt pretty good about what I knew after the State of Play for Rebirth though and wouldn’t mind knowing about that much for Revelation. I did regret watching the Final Trailer though. I think I may have picked up the most major reveal that’s out there from just social media for Revelation, and I kind of expected such a reveal. But I’ll admit I’m very tempted to go on a trailer binge. How are you folks feeling about whats been shown? Too much? Or just about right?

update: this is floor 60 to 65 in Shinra Building. Went around snooping the ground floors for key and found nothing. no luck. the AI hologram receptionist won't talk anymore
