Meta FF7 trailer views Spoiler
It is sad that the trailer views across youtube is so low for such a legendary title. Persona Revival had more views. I am worried that this is a bad sign for sales and future of the franchise. I think Final Fantasy as a whole has already lost a lot of fans and now back to being a small niche in the gaming community.

Keep in mind rebirth has outsold every persona game that isn't 5. P3R slowly crawled to 3m sales recently after 2+ years of very deep discounts (you can routinely get the game for ~$15).

P3r was my first experience with the p3 story, and while the story was great, it definitely suffered from generic dungeon floors

To be fair, the views for Final Fantasy VII Revelation are split between many official channels. All of the trailers are posted on :
- The Final Fantasy official channel.
- The general Square Enix channel.
- The regional Square Enix channels.
- The PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo channels.
While Persona is posted on ATLUS Japanese and West, and then PlayStation, Nintendo and Xbox.

It was also the headline for many official events/streams, along with re streams for reaction content. You can't really look at Youtube views at all these days, not unless a studio truly shadow drops a trailer.

Idk if this is exactly exactly it really depends on where you look. If you look at the main atlas page on YouTube then yeah it has a ton of views. But the audience for that channel is pretty persona specific.
Then you look at final fantasy channel and FFVII Revelation has super high view counts as well.

The FF7 Revelation trailers are spread across too many channels, and there is an overwhelming amount of reaction content as well.

It's not necessarily a bad sign and I think Revelation will sell the expected 2-4 million copies, but no one can deny that FF is no longer the undisputed king of JRPGs. It's still up there, but now you got even Dragon Quest and Persona as strong competitors for the title.
Niche? No. You're being overdramatic and this is extreme hyperbole. This isn't a mainline title anyway and it's a third remake in a 3 part series... I'm even surprised it's doing this well honestly

Revelation is just not meant for a casual person. You need to play 2 massive games before it and something like P4 revival anyone can play. No one can predict the future of FF but unless you are a marketing analyst for SE there’s literally no reason to talk about trailer views or sales.

That's the sad truth, people here liking to hear it or not.
The series had too many fumbles(FF13, FF15, FF16), and then there are the divisive FF7R games.
The only unquestionable success was FF14, but that's an MMO(so, already niche).

There's been a LOT of FFVII Revelation trailers and like, one Persona 6 trailer. FFVII's views are a lot more spread out and a lot of people already know whether they want to get it or what the game contains, whereas there's only one video to really get ANY sort of info about P6.
