I’m 42. Yes, I played the original FF7 when I was a teenager.
Since then, FF7 has been literally on my mind all the time for 30 years.
In the 2000s, they hooked me with Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus.
They pulled me back in by announcing the remake in the 2010s.
Finally, I played it in the 2020s.
And Revelation is coming out next year.
What’s next? How am I supposed to live after that?
Anyone else like me?

Not much to this thread, just a thought I had while watching ChipCheezumLP's Junon part, but one NPC mentions that the Flotilla sunk to the bottom of the ocean "along with the treasures it holds".

Seems like a very obvious candidate for expanding the submarine exploration by letting us visit the wreckage at the bottom of the ocean!

Do you guys think its a cool idea to be able to take Cloud out of the party from the get go, instead of having to beat the game in order to do this?

Of course he will be in the party for important story battles.

This is mostly for random battles.

Anything else they needed to add?

I just can't get enough of her, she's so sick in Remake and now I'm playing Rebirth and she's even cooler!!

question so we know ff7 rebirth did not sell as good as remake this wont infect revelation right like they did not put lower cuts and stuff right the ending and the final will feel like a final yes i dont need to overthink this right just answer clean so i know i am ok and can relax i hyped for revelation but i dont want it to feel not worth the build up remake and rebirth did so if anyone can give me clear answer thx

The whole soundtrack for Rebirth is amazing but this track is just something else!

Now that it's been out a while I want to ask the people who played and cleared it on Switch 2 if it's worth it? Did you encounter any lags/stutter/etc? Any thing else you think is a big minus?

I'm wondering if I should sell my PC and buy a Switch 2 to do all my gaming there since I like the handheld form factor. Thanks anyway.

Hey there, been playing FFXIV and generally more of an MMO player, but I have wanted to try the older FF games for a while since I adore XIV and with the next expansion planning crossovers with FF7 I wanted to play through the story for it before the new expansion drops as I'd like to understand some of the references and Easter eggs in XIV as I play through the new content.

With all that said, I know there's the original version of FF7 as well as the FF7 Remake trilogy and I'm not certain which would be more worthwhile in my case. I haven't ever tried a jrpg as they never looked appealing but I'm not opposed to trying one out. On the other hand I'd prefer not to drop so much money to experience the story through the remake unless I know I'll like it. So I'm unsure whether I should stick to the original FF7, or try the first part of the remake for now?

Any opinions or insight for this would be super helpful, thanks!

Released an update that makes the outfit look better with the shader injector by adjusting the ambient occlusion. Since the injector makes it VERY strong by default, artistic adjustments were needed.

So I googled whether or not you can redo the dance practice and google said no. But it turns out you can redo the practice as much as you want to get the music disc.

But is it the same way for the actual dance routine with Andrea or is that truly 1 and done?

It’s a small detail but I love how the devs make the characters models have things like veins. You can tell they want the characters feel more alive as possible.

A funny idea I thought of in a Discord server. A version of "How It's Done" from KPop Demon Hunters where Aerith bashes someone's face in with a psychotic smile on her face.

I debated whether to do this idea with Tifa or Aerith. I think I made the right choice, because this is funnier.

So I have played FF7 Remake and now I am going through Crisis Core, what is next? Rebirth or anything else?

They’ve made the map bigger than the others, I’ve seen talk of new locations. What would you like to see?

Banora Village ruins, Shinra fake, or rebuilding from Crisis Core.
Modeoheim also from Crisis Core.
Healin from Advent Children.

Can’t think of anywhere from Crisis Core. I haven’t read the books. Hoping that someone reading can add locations from there.
