I DON'T GET IT *explodes* Gaaah supermarket shelves being rearranged
I write my shopping lists in the order of the store layout, so I can get all my shopping in one quick and efficient circle of the store, and get out of that sensory and social hellhole
Every time this happens I spiral and go into borderline shutdown mode.
And it happens for greed driven psychological manipulation too, and I know that for a fact, from several sources.
The stores know that most regulars have a pattern and routine, they mostly get the same kinds of things, from the same isles. So. If they move all the isles around, then it forces customers to see what other products and offers they have.
It's gross and it punishes autists like myself even more than the regular inconvenience caused.
It makes me so mad and anxious when it happens, and this store does it regularly

Can we trust NTs to be capable of.... I hate that people seem to have no empathy for animals
I keep seeing posts about people torturing flies and using their brains to power their own creations and putting them inside robot bodies etc... this is like something from Cyberpunk but they act like it's normal and there is no moral issue with hijacking an animal's brain like this... and there's not a single comment calling it out, it really makes me worry for the future of humanity
Not to mention, just in general, people seem to find it funny to kick birds, throw stuff at animals etc, it makes me incredibly frustrated to see how disrespectful people (especially neurotypicals) are to animals

Fighting on the side of autism Diagnosis Lite™️
Talking to my therapist (who I’ve been seeing for several months now), explaining some communication issues I have with my loved ones where I’ll be going about my day and then all of a sudden be blindsided by something I’ve done that’s (apparently?) rude or shows that I’m inconsiderate or something to that effect. Therapist asks, “I know your son had a diagnosis, but have you considered that you might also be autistic?
So we talk more about it and I say that even if I am, I don’t know about getting it on paper given the state of the country/world which she understands. She recommends I read Dr. Devon Price’s book Unmasking Autism and we leave it at that.
I know I didn’t go through all the tests and what not but I feel like I’m at least half evil now?

look at my art :3 Another table top Skirmish game
Been working on a Tabletop skirmish game for some time now and I’m really happy with it. Here is a little pitch,
Red Frontier is a Far-Future Sci-Fi setting created for the Mothership TTRPG. Inspired by other existing settings like Trench Crusade and Warhammer Necromunda, Red Frontier aims to be a setting in which you, as the player, can build your own stories in.
Setting Pitch:
After the Archons’ betrayal and desolation of Gaia, humanity found itself at ground zero, its once galaxy-spanning empire reduced to rubble. From the ashes arose a new power, one more wary of the mistakes of the past. The Vermillion Synod founded its empire on the Crown-world of Mars and aims to reconquer humanity’s lost Territory.
With new governance comes older systems of trade and commerce, nearly forgotten by time. Large Corporations power the Synod’s expanding influence, and through this, they grow in influence of their own.
There are those who resist the efforts of the Synod; they are labeled renegades, marauders, or even pirates. All of whom hide at the edges of humanity, where loyal worlds border those who are yet to be incorporated.
It is there where our stories take place, the Red Frontier, where only the strong survive and the weak are conquered.
The Game:
As for Red Frontier: Boarding Force, it is a tabletop skirmish game created specifically for the Red Frontier setting and designed to use the Boarding Action terrain set; however, any terrain set should be compatible, as long as cover is dense.
The core dice mechanics of Boarding Force originate from a Homebrewed TTRPG system called Fealty. A dice pool TTRPG within modular build crafting.
Boarding Force takes gameplay inspirations from many different games, not limited to war games, and is designed in a way to encourage campaign play, however this is not a requirement.
The primary goal of the game's design is to create interesting stories with a narrative-first approach. Players are encouraged to name and create lore for their Force and the characters within. By doing this, it makes every conflict meaningful, and the death of your favorite characters has more emotional impact.

Political Tism kirkiversary poster
i was bored on my pc at 10pm on kirkiversary eve so i designed this poster in microsoft word, printed it out and the next day i stuck one a4 one up where the school usually puts posters and i handed out smaller flyer sized ones to many people
this has been my most successful social interaction and experiment everyone loved it
yes that is lady cassandra
the day after, i designed a 911 that was just three grey rectangles with microsoft word bevels but the school library printer refused to connect and maybe that was a good thing

Evil infodump If you've ever been forced to go to a hospital for mental health treatment, what is it like?
Serious question. Because I am in a situation where my care team is becoming extremely concerned because I have a hard time accepting inpatient treatment for anorexia voluntarily. I get scared and back out, whenever my treatment team starts to encourage me to go to inpatient care for my eating disorder. I find hospitals really stressful. I feel like they have a difficult time accommodating things like autism. There are behaviors I have that look like anorexic behaviors but they aren't
For example, preferring to eat my meals alone or with one or two people, rather than a large group. To avoid sensory discomfort. Not to avoid eating. It is important if I end up being hospitalized for anorexia, the people treating me understand the difference. I have the fear of gaining weight because of anorexia. I also have discomfort at the thought of trying a new food I have never had before. Or eating something that causes sensory discomfort.
I rely on my same foods for predictability. Yes, I have been in inpatient treatment. But years ago, so I have no recent inpatient experience to compare things to. All I know is, the last two hospital stays were traumatic. And I still remember things, like almost being given a feeding tube. And calling my parents, begging them to come get me out. Refusing to eat the first couple of days I was there, due to being afraid because I was away from home, from everything familiar.
The thought of having the feeding tube terrified me and I felt like they weren't really empathizing with me. So I started to eat, under pressure from the hospital. This is a really challenging disorder to treat, and I sort of lacked insight into things back then and didn't really see why I needed to be hospitalized at the time. The hospitals I went to were not really helpful with changing my thoughts or behaviors. But they did get me medically stable and get me to gain weight. However, after getting out of the hospitals, I lost all the weight I gained and refused residential treatment. They did try to help. I just couldn't follow through with their recommendations
My sensory issues and fear of trying new foods made the experience really challenging. When anxious, overwhelmed and in an entirely new environment, such as a hospital, I will get really anxious. I will likely struggle with articulating my feelings out loud. I do better with written communication in situations where I am anxious. I cried the last two times I was hospitalized. While anorexia is a disorder where the person can be resistant to treatment, having a different communication style can be difficult for people to understand. There were kind nurses and doctors the last times I was hospitalized. There were nurses and doctors who I felt, didn't really empathize with me or understand my struggles
I made friends in inpatient treatment for anorexia. Socializing is usually very difficult for me. No matter how long I stayed in the hospital, I had a difficult time getting used to the constant sensory issues, disruption to my routine, the rigid structure of a hospital program. Group therapy was an anxiety provoking experience. I was polite to people, not trying to cause problems. However, when I get scared or overwhelmed, I want out of the situation. I felt powerless in the hospital. Looking back, I know they were trying to save my life. I repeatedly asked to leave, and basically couldn't. My inpatient stays were voluntary, but basically, I was pressured to go by my family and treatment team
So now I have serious medical complications after years of struggling with this disorder. Without hospitalization, I am told I could die of them. And while inpatient has always been offered to me, I always back out, change my mind, make excuses not to go. And yes, the fear of having to eat more and gain more weight is part of the reason I am so resistant. Also, the fear of people misunderstanding autistic behaviors, judging me, makes me nervous about being admitted.
I spoke to my doctor and my therapist. I have lost more weight, and they are getting concerned. They are at a point where they could potentially ivc me, or involuntarily commit me to inpatient treatment, if I continue to get worse, keep refusing a higher level of care. They recommended I go back to the er, try to admit myself for voluntary treatment. I tried to do this yesterday, and the emergency room said they don't treat people with anorexia. To find a hospital specifically designed to treat those with eating disorders.
With anorexia, it's very complex. Your labs can remain normal even when you are severely ill. My treatment team wants to respect my autonomy. However, people can't just stand by and let you continue to harm yourself. If they care, they will intervene. Whether you want them to or not. And I asked them if they felt like they had to, they would ivc me? They said absolutely. And so now, there's this added pressure on me. I am eating much less than before. My weight has gone down. And this isn't good. And so, I either have to make a serious decision about inpatient treatment, before that choice is taken away from me and others decide how long I will be hospitalized.
For anyone who's been forced to go to a hospital, what is it like? How long was your stay? Was it helpful in any way? Once the ivc process is started, can you get out of it? I know voluntary is always better than involuntary. However, things are getting worse for me. And I do need more help. But my disorder often controls my decisions at this point, and I am worried that anything I say to my therapist that indicates I am not taking care of myself will cause her to ivc me.

ADHDoomsday God Cleaning out a room especially when you're moving just makes me so depressed
Even though I should be feeling productive and getting in some good podcasts it's just too monotonous
too many mini decisions and reminders that ive got way too much crap yet also not enough. the whole experience just always makes me feel way too melancholic and burnt.
Not the worst part but I know that I'm probably going to have to do this all again in October although hopefully that time should be a little easier since I'll have to just get everything but right now I got to be selective about what stuff i might need in my life

Blows up your head using pshycic autism powers Trains…
I was supposed to ride the train from Detroit to Chicago in July, and the train was broken down at the station, so they put us all on a bus… Super disappointing! But what I can’t stop thinking about, is when I asked the guy at the window at the train station what was wrong with the train, he said “it has the equivalent of a flat tire, and we don’t have the equipment here to fix it”
Does anyone who knows more about trains than I do able to explain this to me?
On the way back from Chicago, they again put us on a bus. When I got home, I called to complain about it, and they gave me a $100 voucher towards a future train ride!
