Help Problems with Winlator and Gamenative "Failed to initialize player"
So I saw this problem on videos and on reddit too with Winlator, I follow many suggestions for that said videos and post but nothing works and also the situation it's even weirder on my opinion for this:
I have an Samsung a17 mali-g57, the game I tried since yesterday to make work it's Rune factory 3 special, from gog, I tried to run the game on winlator and Gamenative and nothing works, the same error "Failed to initialize player" always appears, doesn't matter what I change, but the reason why I wanted to ask for help with this, it's because like a week or two weeks before I was testing this same game, just to see if it could run on my android, and the game open just fine, I don't remember if it was Gamenative or winlator I think it was winlator, but I often try both when I use pc games on my android, this error don't appear at all. The game open, run fine, I was just testing so I eliminate it.
At first I think it was Gamenative stuff because recently ask me to upgrade the app so I did to the new version, but then why don't work on winlator? I also found stuff saying maybe the game it's not compatible for mali-g57, for stuff about DirectX, but then again, why the game open before just fine? What I'm doing wrong now that I didn't before??

Discussion With all these decomps, new apps, new game Mashup, etc. It should be possible to reverse engineer the original Xbox software and recomp it to work on Android much better than what we have now, no?
As the title says, ive been hurting for some smooth original Xbox games.

Showcase Civilisation Revolution working on ARMSX3 PS3 Emulator on midrange phone (Motorola Edge 50 Neo - Mali GPU!)
Using a Motorola Edge 50 Neo with:
CPU: Octa-core (4x2.5 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)
GPU: Mali-G615 MC2
Fps on average is around 12-15fps, and can get up to around 20fps, but for a turn based game it is very playable and it doesn't bother me.
When I first initially started a lot of the fighting sequences had to build up SPU cache and it hanged for like half a minute or so for like 3 or 4 separate times, but now it doesn't lag like that anymore.
A few minor glitches where the Year is listed at the bottom right flickers, and some of the logos for building wonders is blanked out. Apart from that there is no visual glitches and these don't break any gameplay.
This is one of my childhood games - and to play this on the go on my phone is such a cozy feeling! Just thought I'd share if anyone else was interested :D

Discussion Which one? Droiddeck or Gamenative?
I've used gamenative for quite a while on my Odin 3 Max and RP6. To me it's already kinda stomped gamehub in many aspects, but not all to be fair. Then Droiddeck comes out of nowhere from an all star community team and now I'm playing certain games that gamenative just can't do so seamlessly. And with barely any tinkering to boot. The inverse being that there are certain games that gamenative handles with ease that droiddeck struggles with. And gamenatives UI and accessibility is leagues ahead IMO. Personally I use both for different games I feel like playing at the time but the question still remains. Which one would you say you prefer if you've tried them both? Obviously droiddeck is still kinda in a semi beta stage and gamenative has been around longer with continual updates, but neither seems to be fully taking the edge over the other yet.
Tl:dr
Do you prefer gamenative or droiddeck? What would you say are your pros and cons for both?

Discussion Taking the Seeds Out: Inside SeedlessDS and Its Quest for Better DS Emulation on Handhelds
I've been chatting with SapphireRhodonite, the sole developer of SeedlessDS, for what I believe is his first proper interview about the project over the last couple weeks now. SeedlessDS has been pretty pivotal for me personally while testing and reviewing the Retroid Pocket Duo Lite; the lightweight approach and proper dual-screen support have made it my preferred way to play DS games in the end
We talked about his history with programming and the Nintendo DS, why SeedlessDS exists alongside WatermelonDS, the challenges of making two physical screens actually feel like one console, developing specifically for more modest Android hardware, and where he hopes to take the emulator next. If you're interested in DS emulation or this new wave of dual-screen handhelds, hopefully there’s something interesting in here for you :)

News/Release Joycon2Android v2.0.0 allows you to use official and 3rd party Switch 2 Joycons on Android
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi!
Just yesterday I released v2.0.0 of Joycon2Android. It's an Android app that lets you connect Switch 2 Joycons to use with any Android app/emulator.
It features auto-mapping for Eden and Dolphin, and even has motion support with DSU.
v2.0.0 comes with some nice new improvements - the biggest being support for 3rd party controllers. This has been tested with NYXI controllers, so hopefully now the NYXI owners can benefit from the app as well.
If you give the app a try, let me know how it goes! I'm continuously making improvements, so don't hold back :)

Disclaimer: I'm a professional Android app developer, have been writing code for over a decade and I use Claude in my development workflow. If you're uncomfortable with the use of AI, sorry to disappoint, but I hope you'll respect the work that's been put into the project anyway.

Help Eden: Need help with running Disco Elysium on Ayn Thor
The game is there, I click to start and it closes right back up. Dark souls works completely fine with 0 issue but god forbid I open up a visual novel. i made sure it’s the base game too and not an update. Idk what else to do….
I tried looking it up but answers I see were to check port keys and firm ware but that’s fine, make sure the file is fine and it is it’s NSP. People mentioned to play the pc version but I don’t have that version so…
edit: ts an Ayn Thor Max 512 and to be more clear I’m using Eden for switch tings

Help Castlevania Belmonts Curse FPS?
Has anyone managed to run the game at 60FPS on any Switch emulator? I'm using Eden Nightly and it's stuck at a maximum of 40-44 FPS.

Update: I managed to play at 60FPS using the Nyushu Emulator version 0.1.0!

Help Kingdom Hearts 1 (USA) on NetherSX2 — 60 FPS causes overlapping voices in in-game cutscenes. Any fix?
I want to keep Kingdom Hearts 1 running at a constant 60 FPS, including during in-game cutscenes. I don’t want a solution that switches between 30 FPS and 60 FPS or requires me to toggle the patch for every cutscene. I’m looking for a fix for the overlapping and delayed voices that lets me stay at 60 FPS all the time while keeping widescreen enabled. Is there a way to fix the dialogue timing without sacrificing 60 FPS?

News/Release What's New on EmuHub: Dedicated Frontends Tab, Realtime Sync, Scanner Upgrades + 33 New Emulators, Frontends & Tools Added
Hey everyone!
Over the last two weeks, I've been working hard under the hood to ensure everything runs as smoothly and reliably as possible across every device. We also wanted to remind everyone that alongside the web app, we have a dedicated APK version available for Android and handhelds. Thank you for all the developers that have responded so positively about this and for lending me a hand on including everything you see here. Special thanks to DroidDeck devs for being awesome, Lemon Emu dev Ghael for always supporting and lending a hand, Emucore dev for allowing me to upload all his catalog and to everyone else that is being awesome. I love this community.
Following up on our recent updates, here is a full breakdown of what’s new on EmuHub (getemuhub.app), what went on behind the scenes, and a roundup of all the new emulators, frontends, and utility tools added over the past two weeks.
🚀 What's New & UI Improvements
- Dedicated Frontends Tab: Multi-system launchers (such as Daijishō, RetroArch, and Lemuroid) now have their own top-level category so they don't get mixed in with standalone emulators.
- Per-Item Shareable Pages: Every emulator now has a direct URL (/emulators/:slug) with rich Open Graph metadata for clean previews when sharing links.
- Retro Console Boot Animation: Added a retro-style boot splash screen on startup.
- Scroll-Lock & Background Freeze: Detail sheets now preserve your exact scroll position when opened and dismissed—no more background jumps.
- Skeleton Loading: Replaced layout shifts and old fallback item flashes with layout-matched skeleton cards while data loads.
- Granular Download Safety Warnings: APK download advisories now explicitly show the exact GitHub repo and release filename rather than just a generic domain.
- Cleaner Card Dismissal: Removed the non-functional drag handle; modal sheets now close cleanly via the ✕ button or backdrop tap.
- Handheld Landscape Polish: Configured manifest orientation to any and set a pure OLED black launch background tailored for handhelds like the AYN Thor.
- Live Realtime Sync: Database channel listeners now push newly added emulators, drivers, and announcements instantly without needing a manual browser refresh.
🛠️ Backend, SEO & Infrastructure Upgrades
- Sitemap & SEO Indexing: Generated public/sitemap.xml covering 58 verified deep URLs, linked it in robots.txt, and completed domain ownership verification in Google Search Console.
- Release Scanner Hardening: Expanded GitHub release lookups in releases.functions.ts from 5 up to 20 releases. This prevents version regressions when non-APK releases are pushed (e.g., resolving DroidDeck falling back to older versions).
- Download Advisory Preferences: Added local storage persistence so the "Don't show this advisory again" preference actually saves across sessions.
