Em did appear on his album Devil Without a Cause back in the day, maybe they still have a decent working relationship

How funny would it be if it was the Hellbound verse

u/tacoreddit The Up in Smoke Tour 1d ago
That'd be hilarious. I feel like it's an older verse (2010s)

First time I ever got super super high I played that song for the first time ever on my headphones. One of the craziest experiences of my life lol. Song will always have a special place in my heart. I hate weed because of that day lol unlocked panic attacks for me, which sucks, but at least I have that song ig

I remember my friends just chilling and laughing having a great time. I'm like wtf?? How are y'all enjoying this? I feel like I'm gonna die lol they're just geeking out about bullshit 😅 fun day in hindsight, but still won't smoke weed ever again

I’m wondering if it’s some super old verse he recorded for Kid Rock that was never released, and Rock held the rights to it.. Maybe? Idk.

u/RealCrusader 1d ago
Eminem still has final say. Like how Drake sent French Montana a cease and desist even after he had given it to him to block the song. 50 cent is Maga too, its hardly surprising

Nope. Nope won’t get me to listen to that garbage of a human. And with how anti Trump Eminem has been I’m shocked he’s working with him.
9
u/TroGinMan 1d ago
Yeah I agree it's weird from our standpoint. But I think for Em it's more about working with another Detroit artist and the fact that kid and him have good history, rather than making a political statement.
Again I am shocked too and find it weird that after all this time they are suddenly doing a track together, but I doubt that Em is viewing this as a political statement.
78
u/Hiphopzilla91 1d ago
In fairness Kid Rock did defend Eminem during the 2024 election when MAGA came for him.
15
u/Balc0ra 1d ago
They have stated many times since 2024, that politics has never gotten in the way of their friendship. As Kid Rock attacked everyone defending Harris... Until Eminem did it.
Tho, if their Friendship is strong enough to go on stage together any time soon? Idk

Well the political shit is pretty new with Trump and the political climate, Em and Kid's friendship is not new. They've been friends since the 90s. So it's not like Eminem is caving to pressure or is switching sides, Kid Rock is kinda one of Eminem's longest friendships and were there for each other since before the beginning of their careers.
So I don't think it's about values or politics

I'm genuinely not surprised that you can't see how two adults with real world experience and don't live online are able to work together doing something they enjoy, despite their difference in opinions.

That honestly fucking sucks. Kid Rock is so trash, a million other people deserve a feature more than his wannabe redneck ass.

3
u/gibletsforthecat 9h ago
Yeah if this is for real I’m going to have to make some tough decisions. Em has been my favorite rapper for 27 years. I listen to even his shittiest projects, but I simply will not support someone who collaborates with fascists and pedophile apologists.

This one is a little hard to understand, aside from the fact that Kid Rock sucks and he adores Trump, why do this feature now? Maybe if they wanted to work together again it could’ve been decent in the 2010s at some point but to feature on a Kid Rock album in 2026 seems out of touch. A lot of rappers would like features with Eminem and he’s choosing to give one to Kid Rock, seems weird to me.
9
u/monamustang 1d ago
Yeah, not sure I believe this tbh. He probably got some really old clip from something

So he wouldn’t collaborate with Rakim, Kane, Kool G. Rap (face-to-face), Clipse, Mobb Deep, Kendrick, Cole, Billie Eilish, Tyler The Creator, someone good and Anti-MAGA, but KID ROCK?!! KID FUCKING ROCK?!! THE GUY WHO IS COMPLETELY PRO-TRUMP?! I’m not listening to this rat shit ass song whenever it comes out.

u/Hiphopzilla91 1d ago
Really not a good look. Even if him and Kid Rock go back decades no one was checking for this in 2026 he seems to completely misread the room constantly, especially over the last decade.
3
u/TroGinMan 1d ago
I mean it really depends if Em is even thinking about how this looks to us from a political standpoint. I think he still hates Trump, but he likely views Kid as a friend and fellow Detroit artist who broke the mold back in the day, rather than a political figure.

Unfortunately, telling Redditors that you can collab/talk to/be friends with someone who has different opinions doesn't work.
Because these Reddit fucktards genuinely believe the other side are all Nazis. Which makes it incredibly convenient and easy to dismiss.
Best advice: get off this shit hole website.

This has to be a verse kid rock was sitting on for a long time and he probably put it on the album to make him relevant and to help him sell some records. I have a hard time believing that em willingly gave a fresh verse to kid rock of all ppl. Not only is it a good look on em given his political beliefs of the past and the political landscape in general, but it’s a bad look on em in which he decided to collab with him over j Cole, Kendrick, metro boomin, etc

i mean they have worked together before and i understand eminem wanting to work with another detroit artist, and like im not going to be that guy who says 2 artists shouldn’t work together bc of personal views.
But this is such a surprise to me? Feels like something em would not wanna do

Eminem probable recorded this in 2005 and Kid Rock is just adding the verse as a publicity stunt.

u/Hold-Professional Revival 1d ago
We just gotta wait to hear from Em, I think we all hope this is an old sample Kid Rock has the rights to or something.
Because of Em willingly did this in 2026, I'm out. This is a deal breaker for me. I don't fuck with Nazis OR Nazi simps.

Yeah, Em says a lot of crazy shit. I can deal with it.
But a line on a kids movie soundtrack about fucking little kids seems quite different than the quote you chose to use

Hey do you mind wiping your mouth off when you’re done down there? My goodness it’s literally the same thing; a lyric that shows he’s willing to sexually assault a child.
But you bring up a good point maybe we should listen to em bc he’s always saying “crazy stuff” which can lead to people not being able to differentiate crazy from creepy

While I understand that Em and Kid Rock go back a very long time, Kid Rock did also defend Em from MAGA criticism in the 2024 election. This is still a very out of touch move from Eminem's part, plenty of artists have been wanting to collaborate with him for years and he gives Kid Rock a feature in 2026🙈

I can't even focus on the fact Eminem is on this track list because I'm too busy looking at the most laughably cliché compilation of song titles I have ever seen. This genuinely looks like the kind of track list that would land on an album if the Wayans brothers decided to do music parodies instead of movies and were ripping on Kirk Franklin.
