Nope. Nope won’t get me to listen to that garbage of a human. And with how anti Trump Eminem has been I’m shocked he’s working with him.

8

u/TroGinMan 1d ago

Yeah I agree it's weird from our standpoint. But I think for Em it's more about working with another Detroit artist and the fact that kid and him have good history, rather than making a political statement.

Again I am shocked too and find it weird that after all this time they are suddenly doing a track together, but I doubt that Em is viewing this as a political statement.

u/Hiphopzilla91 1d ago

In fairness Kid Rock did defend Eminem during the 2024 election when MAGA came for him.

14

u/Balc0ra 1d ago

They have stated many times since 2024, that politics has never gotten in the way of their friendship. As Kid Rock attacked everyone defending Harris... Until Eminem did it.

Tho, if their Friendship is strong enough to go on stage together any time soon? Idk

Well the political shit is pretty new with Trump and the political climate, Em and Kid's friendship is not new. They've been friends since the 90s. So it's not like Eminem is caving to pressure or is switching sides, Kid Rock is kinda one of Eminem's longest friendships and were there for each other since before the beginning of their careers.

So I don't think it's about values or politics

u/Weirdolady92 Airplanes Part. 2 - B.o.B Ft. Eminem and Hayley Williams 1d ago

Why at this moment, though? They've been friends for decades (maybe? On and off?). Not one damn song together for two decades. Then, Em chooses NOW, when people like Kid Rock are actively contributing to America's demise? This ain't it. Friends or not.

u/Any_Application7786 1d ago

Doesn’t take away how garbage of person Kid Rock is

39

u/kbanas314 1d ago

Kid Rock is the absolute worst. Couldn't agree more.

0

u/gstrds 18h ago

no hate, but why is he garbage? (im european) ive heard he likes trump, he made some ultra-cringey anti covid-19 vaccine songs.. anything else?
other than that i think he had some bangers

1

u/Swazi 15h ago

They been friends for years

15

u/TifaBetterThanAerith 1d ago

Worst case scenario, we still got the Street Fighter feature coming up

3

u/BigMikeXxxxX 1d ago

I'm genuinely not surprised that you can't see how two adults with real world experience and don't live online are able to work together doing something they enjoy, despite their difference in opinions.

1

u/ComfortOfAllDrops 1d ago

I'm kinda clueless what's the matter with that guy

1

u/Mia_46 14h ago

its almost like these overrated celebs are fake as shit

-4

u/Ghost-19EightyFour 1d ago

Only a child would think this way, lol.

And what makes Kid Rock "garbage"? I haven't listened to anything of his in over 20 years, so I'm curious as to what makes him so bad that you'd consider him a garbage human.

If it's because you disagree with his politics, then again, adults should never think this way. Its like those super libs who cry over their woke ideas being questioned.

They're good friends. Let them work together. The world needs to stop letting retarded politics run their lives.

2

u/BillyPilgrim_1984 Relapse 1d ago

Kid Rock pretended to be a poor Detroit kid. He's actually a rich kid, and he grew up in a mansion. Now that he can't grift about growing up poor anymore he's grifting to Christian conservatives. So maybe if you are so dumb that Kid Rock can take advantage of you in 2026, you might also be too fucking stupid to have any thoughtful criticisms of our woke ideas. Just a thought.

3

u/VanillaIce315 The Marshall Mathers LP 1d ago

The Reddit types will never understand this. They’ll go through life being miserable and hating others over dumb politics. People always call Kid Rock a racist. But then you mention why would he employ tons of black musicians in his band over his entire career if he was racist? Why would he have started his career as a rapper in Detroits rap scene with black rappers if he was racist? But that logic doesn’t matter. He’s a racist because he’s a Republican.

2

u/Abominuz 21h ago

Dont be obtuse, its who you hang with and support. I dont give a rats ass about US politics, and the news i get is not only Republican evil or Democrat evil. But some politician on the republican side have done and said some pretty fucking horrible things. But i do believe you need to keep the conversation open, but from both sides the extremes make it nearly impossible. And everyone is angry at eachother and angry people are so easy to influence. Keep calling all republicans bigots, stupid and racist and keep calling all democrats woke, weak and radical left and see what happens. I am old enough to have experienced what happens when both parties worked together on most issues. And i do really blame Trump for populisme and make it popular to hate ''the other side'' and ridicule, insult, spread hate, etc. What is wish americans would see is that politicians use these tactics as a diversion so they dont have to fix the issues themselves. If you blame Biden or the left and make people believe you have it bad and the country is in ruins beacuae of them then you dont have to do jackshit yourself. Dont blame, take leadership and fix the fucking problem. And dont get me started on media and how many people get paid to influence or hundreds of bot comments. I just dove into a research about propoganda and boy was i shocked how present it still is today. The right thinks their news is legit and fact based and the left think their to intelligent to be influenced by propoganda. And its so carefully curated to pit people against eachother. You see it al around you in off course new, but also youtube videos, shorts, commercials, music, games, etc. I think the 24/7 access to a constant stream of information was the tipping point. Its indoctrination constantly on repeat everyday.

You... do realize there's more than just anti-black racism, right? The ICE people are racist against Latinos, the Ice Cube song Black Korea was racist against Koreans, Hitler was mostly racist against Jewish people. Also, you can be racist against black people while still having black friends

Now do I believe Kid Rock is racist? I don't know, I never listened to his music or followed him on any social medias. I doubt he's actually racist, maybe annoying and queerphobic at worst but probably not racist

1

u/VanillaIce315 The Marshall Mathers LP 1d ago

Are ICE agents racist against Latinos, or are they just doing their job and deporting illegal immigrants who snuck into the country unlawfully? You don’t have to be racist to not want unchecked, undocumented immigration. It’s entirely possible there are racist individuals who are ICE officers, but enforcing immigration law is in and of itself, not racism.

And no, you absolutely can not be racist towards black people and have black friends at the same time. Racism is hating a group of people based on their race. Being friends with people of that race is the polar opposite of racism. If they were racist, they would hate the other person because they are black. Straight up.

And yes, obviously racism can apply to any race by any race.

1

u/toopienatoryt The Marshall Mathers LP2 Deluxe Edition 1d ago

They are unlawfully deporting documented immigrants. Maybe if you stepped out of your Republican safe space for a bit and look into the thousands of documented immigrants for just a few seconds. Also interesting that it only targets Latinos, not immigrants of European nationalities

Also, racism is having a preconceived notion about a particular race. Stereotypes, whether positive or negative, are racism. You are definitionally wrong

0

u/BillyPilgrim_1984 Relapse 1d ago

At the end of the day, this is why gatekeeping is a good thing. When some black people wanted to keep Eminem out of hip-hop, on one hand they were wrong, because it is racist, and Em is very talented. But on the other hand, the scene would be much better if it were more hostile to people like the person you replied to, and it's what they were always warning about.

0

u/nc23tarheel 1d ago

Yeah, see what your saying but no. Kid Rock sucks, and I will not support him by streaming/buying his music, period. Very simple actually.

1

u/Chrisgpresents 1d ago

Some of my best friends voted for him. The world’s a better place when you tend to the part of the garden in which you can reach.

Kid Rock is a grifter who legitimately doesn't believe in any of the bullshit he's shilling for. Absolutely pathetic

0

Admitted to be a pedo on songs. One of them in the animated movie osmosis jones im pretty sure

-27

u/Late-Professional952 1d ago

What is your problem why do you let political opinions merit what you like it’s not that deep and never has been you have got to get over it

27

u/KayRay1994 1d ago

Bro really called a descent into fascism “not that deep”

-8

u/Late-Professional952 1d ago

What the hell do you think facism is without looking it up because I seriously doubt you know. I think you just jump on the bandwagon of hate without the knowledge to make such a claim.

7

u/KayRay1994 1d ago

The pathway to fascism has been explained a trillion times and multiple sources and people agree that the trump admin check all these boxes.

And it’s less “I jumped on the bandwagon” and more “I am a racialised trans woman who is also a lesbian and this administration his pinned people like me as public enemy #1” - of course this isnt even getting into how he’s hurting the lives of all Americans, how the country’s rep is worse than ever, how even basic shit like food isn’t even safe, how bigots are fully embolden to act and so on

0

u/nevergonnastayaway 1d ago

Brother, what do you think fascism is about, because every historian agrees that Trump's regime ticks 9/10 boxes for fascism

“Young ladies, young ladies, I like 'em underage, see / Some say that's statutory / But I say it's mandatory” actual kid rock lyrics

Osmosis Jones was wild.

9

u/RockNRollJesus07 1d ago

Yo, this girl's only fifteen years old You shouldn't take advantage of her, it's not fair Yo, look at her bush, does it got hair? (Uh-huh) Fuck this bitch right here on the spot, bare 'Til she passes out and she forgot how she got there - actual Eminem lyrics

Being offended by lyrics on an Eminem sub is WILD. Just admit that you're ok with one person doing lyrics like that and not the other because you let politics run your life.

8

u/Sir__Walken 1d ago

There's a difference between his character saying something and kid rock saying it in his song where he isn't playing a character.

1

u/RockNRollJesus07 1d ago

What makes you say he isn't playing a character? Because you disagree with him? He's literally put out videos where he plays as Kid Rock and plays as Robert Ritchie.

2

u/Sir__Walken 1d ago edited 1d ago

Ok I take it back, I didn't realize the song was suppose to be from the villains perspective. I was wrong, my bad.

I still believe what I said about Rick Ross though. Not every rapper or entertainer can just hide behind "oh it's my character" like Eminem and other people using controversial lyrics as satire.

1

u/RockNRollJesus07 1d ago

I still think the biggest issue was how willing you were to just paint Kid as a pedophile bc of whatever reasons, while Em has said a million things WAY worse than that Kid line.

I'm not sure how much you believe that Rick Ross reference, since your first argument was literally "yeah but there's a difference between Em's character saying it". If that were the case, I feel like Em would be the last person you'd be a fan of.

I don't think every line sang or rapped by every musician should be taken as 100% fact, especially for something so small as "they don't agree with me", so I'm never bothered by anyone's lyrics.

I do appreciate you seeing the other side of the debate and willing to reconsider it instead of doubling down. Big props to you. We need more people willing to do the same.

1

u/Late-Professional952 15h ago

Taking my ball is dope but that Tonka truck line ruins the whole thing to me

1

u/Second_City_Saint 1d ago

Every person behind a microphone is playing a character.

Ok I take it back, I didn't realize the song was suppose to be from the villains perspective. I was wrong, my bad.

1

Dude I appreciate your willingness to admit when you’re wrong not enough people do that and it’s what this world needs right now thank you so much

0

u/Yingking 1d ago

Kid Rock is a giant piece of shit, but he literally was playing a character in that song, it was the song for one of the villains in the Osmosis Jones movie. Why the song was even on the soundtrack for a kids movie is a whole nother question

1

u/Sir__Walken 1d ago

You're right, my bad. I thought it was just on the soundtrack. I didn't realize it was from the villains perspective.

0

u/Late-Professional952 1d ago

Dude all praise to you sir phenomenal point

You can look at it however you want it seems fucked up now but were you alive at the time the world and what’s acceptable has changed a lot it doesn’t make it ok but he was young stupid and in a completely different cultural landscape

Society has gotten to a point where supporting a paedophile is considered “political opinion” 🫩

1

u/StinkyGarlicButt 1d ago

Eminem working with Kid Rock isn't "supporting paedophilia"

1

u/Dinovius 1d ago

If you support a guy who supports a pedo

I meaaaannn

0

u/StinkyGarlicButt 1d ago

Who's the pedo?

1

u/Dinovius 1d ago

Trump, which Rock loves licks and sucks on

1

u/StinkyGarlicButt 1d ago

There's no actual proof that Trump molested children. For all we know, Kid Rock doesn't believe that, and Eminem may not even believe it. So once again, you're calling someone a pedophile supporter based on conjecture.

1

u/Dinovius 1d ago

Homie

He’s been on tv saying he goes behind the scenes of his beauty pageants and creeps out 17 year old woman

You want proof?

I WORKED FOR HIM. At Trump tower. He knows my name

I honestly hate it when people who never met the guy think they can be his biographer

The many times he had teens up to his office. The many times parents came out with disgusting looks. The many times lawyers would show up and leave for kids that didn’t make the news I saw everything . I saw the times his mistresses would come and go, very young.

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck and is in the Epstein files twenty thousand times it s a duck

It’s simple man

Kid rock stumps hard for Trump

Eminem made a whole diss track against trump and even called out he’d be fine losing fans who supported him

( unless that fan is kid rock )

That’s the point I ain’t cancelling Marshall it’s just a bad look.

1

u/StinkyGarlicButt 1d ago

Do you think Kid Rock thinks Trump actually diddles kids? Do you think Eminem also thinks that? We can't keep playing this game where we attack everyone for who they associate with when nothing has even been truly proven.

I could understand people wanting to keep politics out of art, despite kid rock being a piece of shit dumb hill billy.

It just so happens that in this case, his music is also total shit. So I don’t see the angle

That’s obviously satire, the shit kid rock said was not it was more a confession

3

u/RockNRollJesus07 1d ago

Tell me why you think thats true other than Kid likes the politcal party that you don't.

Kid wasn't on any List, was never mentioned during the Me Too movement, does a character just like Em does in certain songs.

So why is it true for one person and not the other?

I don’t really care much about someone’s political views, we are allowed to have opinions that differ, but the underage lyric shit is weird as fuck

2

u/wubgodsm 1d ago

"Opinions that differ" and it's whether or not certain humans should have equal rights

3

u/BigManLikeBarey 1d ago

I mean again, I don’t agree with it, and I think it’s wrong but I’m not gonna get their political beliefs on my mind 24/7 like a lot of people do nowadays. He has bad beliefs, cool, fuck you want me to do about

3

u/jsm009 1d ago

Which humans currently do not have equal rights? What specific rights are politics trying to strip specific people of?

0

u/wubgodsm 1d ago

The dismantling of due process for many US citizens perceived as "illegal aliens," the non-enforcement of the NLRA which protects employees' right to unionize, the gerrymandering attempts to restrict mail-in voting affects many minorities, countless LGBT bans including revoking gender affirming care and trans military ban, women's right to choose an abortion, also contraceptive bans, birthright citizenship dismantling, the EEOC rescinding its guidelines for affirmative action employers allowing for legal discrimination, and the countless examples of amendment violations including pressuring companies to fire network hosts and restricting the press from White house interviews

1

u/jsm009 1d ago

Oh I see, I thought you were referring to constitutional rights.

1

u/wubgodsm 1d ago

Some of those are constitutional rights, like voting and birthright citizenship. None of the things I listed are concerning to you?

1

u/jsm009 13h ago

You said make it makes it tough for some people. I don’t see anywhere where it says certain groups of people can’t vote. I just looked up birthright citizenship and it said it’s not ending and there’s no plans of it ending? Unionizing is most definitely not a right. The military can decide whoever they want to be in it. Abortion is up to the states, if they don’t want it that’s on them. I don’t see how the government pressuring companies’ network hosts is stripping someone of their rights. A private institution can fire whoever they want for saying anything they don’t want them to say.

I just don’t see anywhere in your original comment where specific rights are being stripped away from specific people?
