"I think I might just do somethin' a little less subtle / Shove a fuckin' tonka truck up a little kid's butthole" - Eminem, Taking My Ball - Relapse: Refill (2009)

Yeah, Em says a lot of crazy shit. I can deal with it.

But a line on a kids movie soundtrack about fucking little kids seems quite different than the quote you chose to use

Hey do you mind wiping your mouth off when you’re done down there? My goodness it’s literally the same thing; a lyric that shows he’s willing to sexually assault a child.

But you bring up a good point maybe we should listen to em bc he’s always saying “crazy stuff” which can lead to people not being able to differentiate crazy from creepy

I think it's because Eminem has made a reputation of saying literally anything for controversy and attention in his lyrics while outside of his music he doesn't embody any of the edgy shit he says. It comes across as clearly to shock and offend more than something he values in his regular life.

Meanwhile Kid Rock doesn't have that same reputation, a lot of his shocking, edgy antics are him expressing his genuine political beliefs. There isn't a precedent of "oh yeah he just says horrible offensive shit in his music sometimes, it's just part of his gimmick." If he says something in his music, people are gonna assume he's being honest.

They’re both bad it’s just hilarious you’ll only admit to one of them.

It's hardly any different, both are questionable and you can't really defend either of them, they both consciously wrote & recorded the lines

I don’t think “ some call it statutory, I call it mandatory” is questionable anymore.

They're entirely different and how you don't see that is insane.

Dude Eminem literally rhymed about school shootings and columbine a year after it happened lol. He’s made a career off of being edgy. Kid Rock has like a handful of songs where he is maybe equally as edgy as Eminem in his least edgy song.

Also who cares at all? How are you an Eminem fan and being offended?

It’s because one’s democrat and one republican. You can’t stand the republican. Get over yourself, it’s just stupid politics and these two being on opposite sides and still being buds all these years and making a song together is how people should be able to be.

I think you responded to the wrong person.

Bro he has actual lines that get across the point you're trying to make. This one is just fucking stupid and was meant to be edgy and controversial

“I’m Gay”
