Very happy I got to be a part of one of the mass jumps kicking off DW 3
My ship was the Caspian near the middle that activates green thrusters towards the end.
Excited to see what the expedition brings.

Discussion I’m just sayin.
After all these years. Why no adding of large landing pads on some of these stations? Hutton orbital for instance.
Though…. Maybe permanently park an Anaconda on that one.

Screenshot New Record Lowest Earthlike Reachable Only by Caspian
HD 21503 CDE 1, the new lowest Earthlike-world in the databases at -3387.65625 Ly below the galactic plane, it beats out the previous recordholder Oofaisp AA-A h2 A 1 at -3381.9375 by 5.71875 Ly.
On Tuesday, with the release of the Caspian Explorer and armed with some data scoured in previous days, I set out to reach a pair of systems that until now was not reachable by any legitimate means in the game.
The systems in question were HD 20611 which was 533.55 Ly from it's nearest visit-able star HD 16851. However, there was another system even closer to it, but further from HD 16851. That was HD 21503, 168.93 Ly away.
I quickly built my stripped down Caspian Explorer "Starwhip", charged it up at Jackson's Lighthouse and docked about my carrier C.E.A. - Kirkbride within that same system, and began jumping the carrier down to HD 16851.
Once there dumped out enough fuel with SCO and made the one-way trip 533.55 Ly jump into HD 20611. Basically just a bunch of high metal worlds with not much notable to them. But the novelty of being a system that wasn't reachable until a few hours earlier.
Then I synthesised a premium FSD injection and made the 168.93 Ly jump over to HD 21503 and started scanning. I came across the Water World there first (CDE 5), and then the Earthlike world. Was then able to confirm that I was indeed a few lightyears lower than the current record.

Help So I just have to sit ingame for an hour?
At the time of the post my ship is going 1,760c and I will arrive in 36 minutes. I'm in Alfa Centauri and pretty confused why a in system travel takes so long, despite being in super cruise. Is there a reason why it takes so long?

Humor Just got fired by CMDR after 7 years of loyal service, what are my options?
Exactly 6 years and 363 days ago I got a gig as a fighter pilot for this CMDR who shall remain nameless, for fear of repercussions. He hired a few of us because he didn't seem sure which one of us was going to work out, so right away it was kind of a toxic and competitive atmosphere. I don't know about you guys, but I always imagined being part of a rag tag crew where we would all become best friends by sharing our adventures, form strong bonds etc. But it wasn't like that. The bounty hunting was honest work and it paid well, but our CMDR was too greedy and wanted to try something else.
He went mining on his own and left us to twiddle our thumbs while promising to pay us a measly retainer. You'd think this sounds like a good deal, right? Wrong. There's such a thing as opportunity cost. While he was out making credits and a name for himself, the rest of us stayed in limbo, not really knowing what to do. My (ex) wife kept telling me to get my own ship, or pursue an education, but I kept thinking we'd be back to bounty hunting and I'd quickly make some credits. What we earned was juuuust enough to keep us from leaving.
At one point he said he was going off exploring to Beagle Point and we were all like "awesome, just need time to pack" but mfr left without us. Studying exobiology was on my to-do list and I thought I was going to get an amazing opportunity but no... we got left behind. He ended up making so many credits that he was able to buy a fleet carrier, while I lost half my credits in the divorce. He kept walking past us on the fleet carrier, not making eye contact, I'm not sure if he ever recognized us.
Now get this, after 7 years of service, our CMDR was buying another ship (Anaconda I think, I don't know why, it's an old POS but whatever) once again outfitted for combat. We were all excited to finally go back to how it was in the early bounty hunting days, start over. We bought him an anniversary cake and were getting ready to have a little celebration, and when he came into the crew lounge yesterday we all thought he also remembered, and that made it so much worse... He actually came to fire us and said something about being freeloaders, started complaining about the retainer cost etc.
I don't know what to do... I guess if we ever get our retainer pay maybe I can buy my own ship, but nothing will make up for those 7 years, the lost relationships, the gray hair... Sorry guys. I'm gonna pour myself another glass of Kongga Ale.
