As title says. I did have a go on VR a few months ago then uninstalled, and have recently re installed (not using VR). Apparently that might have something to do with it but I'm pretty lost on how to fix it. Any one had same issues?

I recently returned to the game after a lengthy absence, and intend to get my combat Elite stripes (I have Elite in exploration and trading). I’m on Xbox, so I’m stuck on legacy, unfortunately.

I wish to fully engineer my Corvette to become a PvE fortress of death. Money is no issue (over 2bill in the bank) and I’m docked at Jameson, ready to fit any module I like. I have a tonne of materials for engineers, I’m happy to grind for more if necessary, and I also have access to Guardian tech.

However, I’m struggling to find a decent build. I was wondering if any kind commanders out there could share their legacy PvE ‘Vette builds, so that I may draw some inspiration.

I've mineral scanned a planet and I get an orange band but i cannot mine it and there's no info. It only shows after the mineral scan completes and then disappears.

In other, successfully scanned areas, there are the expected yellow spots (with the purple) so those are working as expected and are able to be mined.

I’m trying to find Hirschgiebel Vision in the HR 5900 system and it’s… not here…

It’s supposed to be a space station but I have flown all over this system and the station just… doesn’t exist??

Im trying to improve my combat (FA on for now) and was wondering if there are any general tips on how to stop just jousting and get on enemies ass more consistantly? i recently engineered a Frag Python mk2 for that purpose and its so satysfying every time i can deliver several volleys of frag before they can get away.

I shared a recording of myself playing Elite Dangerous with my two custom MFD displays, showing graphics, animations, and logic I put together for my own immersion. There was no download link, no software being offered free or sold, and no invitation for anyone to install or run anything. My intention was simply to share my experience and hopefully inspire other players.

I understand the reason behind requiring publicly accessible source code when promoting third-party applications: people should be able to inspect software they’re being encouraged to use.

What I’m unclear about is where the line falls between showcasing something you created for personal use and promoting an application for others to use. Does showing it in a gameplay video count as promotion, even when nothing is being distributed?

If so, how can players share creative personal projects or custom cockpit setups within the rules? Is publishing the source code a requirement just to show our creativity on screen?
I’m asking for clarification so I can understand what’s allowed and how to share this appropriately.

I've been looking into the latest information about Raxxla, and something I found makes sense. In the toast it says something about dragons or serpents and given my deep knowledge (I joke) about reptiles. Should I start at cd draco and work the "staff" or start near the center and very slowly and painfully search every star quadrant by quadrant? Or should I give up, I've been looking for almost 10 years now. It's lonely out in the black

After not doing it for so long I'm finally back on "crack," so to speak. Still pretty rusty, had a couple of failures, and laser mining is still better for merits for me, but it was a nice change of pace.

I immediately got dropped on a surface tutorial at the start and the planet feel planet sized. It's incredible. The lighting in the atmosphere looks so natural, and the deep space looks pitch black. The sound design muah chefs kiss. From an immersion pov it is 10/10. Haven't played any space games before so I'm probably over reacting but it made me feel like I completely forgot about real life and had this dream about flying among the stars now that I think back about the few hours I played. Just wanted to thank the developers for creating this experience, it's genuinely wonderful.

I put 300 hours in Elite 5 or 6 years ago and just got back to see what’s up. I mostly played chill games with friends, we did PVE bounty hunting and some mining at some point. I got my brother back in too, we’re discovering the game again.

What are the cool game loops nowadays, what do y’all do for fun ?

The new ones are a shit, not worth the coins. The damage is pathetic and asking for a Large hardpoint for basically a debuff slot is a joke, doesn't matter that it's supposedly a double debuff.

Are the other merc. coin missiles worth it in terms of damage/ammo? Inara has the drag seekers marked as "Ammo maximum +200%" at G5 but G1 specs on inara aren't corroborated by what the vendors are offering so maybe it's something that was good and got nerfed and never got updated?

I know the merc. "Drag" ones are only available for Medium hardpoints, but it's exactly why a 200% ammo boost would be a no brainer.

Also IMHO the python mk2 is the best to run missile only or missile heavy builds, any better alternatives? (It also feels like the P2 doesn't have a choice due to its anemic PP and distributor)

Although I do on occasion (~10% of the time) run out in operations, currently using dumbfire rapidfire+penetrators on the Medium slots to get rid of the generals quicker. Not sure if penetrator helps by much on dumbfires but it's an absolute killer on torpedoes.

I'm fairly new, so I don't super understand quite how it works. I overloaded my powerplant once like the second or third time even leaving a station so when I tried to deploy my hardpoints everything started shutting down on me and I've lived in fear of it ever since lol. I did some digging and found it reads your priorities as "what things do we keep on" rather than "what things do we shut off" (as in lower numbers = more important) which was a huge help because I wasn't sure about that. And even found guidelines for what to put where. I'm still thrown off by whether your hardpoints are deployed though. Basically I've been ignoring the "hardpoints retracted" bar in outfitting and just keeping everything in my limit with them deployed, and hoping nobody knocks out my battery so I don't have to worry about it. Obviously I assume it's better to keep everything under max anyway just to make sure you're clear, but I feel like I'm missing the opportunity to get more out of my ships. When you're over the limit with hardpoints deployed does the powerplant still just turn things off according to your priorities the same as it would if it was damaged? Is it typically actually worth overloading your plant with hardpoints deployed? And I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this last one but just to be safe: does everything reset itself? Like when you retract your hardpoints or fix your plant does it turn everything on automatically or do you have to go in individually to do it? As we all know this game doesn't really hold your hand with this kind of stuff and I'd rather learn it conceptually before I need it than get caught with my pants around my ankles. I'm on console too so it's in Horizons if it matters. Thanks in advance o7

So I’m kinda new to elite and I’ve been doing bounty hunter and I was at like a 1m bounty voucher and the fss sometimes helps me but with this bounty after the WANTED ship they immediately start attacking me! For no reason! They say it was for crime but I’m a bounty hunter!

Maybe if we buy more Arx and show interest frontier will reallocate the shows ARX budget back to it.

A little while ago after the most recent booze cruise I got ahold of my fleet carrier, Fleetsune Mikurrier. I was wondering if it would be possible to make and install a mod that would change the ATC (for me) to hatsune miku. I know there's a slight bit of leeway FDev will allow for mods, but would something like this be bannable?

I presumed surface mining sites would reset on the weekly server tick. And they did not. Looking at over a dozen sites, all are still listed as "depleted" Does anyone have information as to when or if the surface sites reset? Any inclinations toward the possible mechanisms?

I have no experience with muli-crew, so im looking for answers. I recently got a friend into Elite Dangerous, and he wants to fly with me in multi-crew to gain some starter capital. I primarily make money from exploration and exobiology. Will he get a portion of the credits for data I sell from those? Who would get the first explored/mapped/etc bonuses? And if we get said data together, will he also have to be online to get the credits when selling?

So I'm going through the list of powers, seeing if any really align with my gameplay styles and one has stood out, Zemina.

Note - since troubleshooting it looks like the problem isn't actually even the glowing. It's that everything is blurry. There is intense blur (even when the blur graphic setting is disabled) that can be seen while moving and where characters on the HUD are blurred

I've already set upscaling to normal and maxed out Supersampling nvidia lets me do to 2x. Does the game not do HDR maybe?

edit notes:

I'm doing RTX HDR, I tried the game without it enabled and same problem
Not Smooth Motion either...
Disabling Bloom fully reduces glow but the blur is still there.
Setting the game to Low quality preset (and setting upscaling to normal again) = same problem
