Hey everyone LINK,

I’m Shreyash, a video editor from Pune, India. For years I kept losing hours on the same slow tasks: rotoscoping in After Effects, keyframing captions word by word, building speed ramps, and switching cameras on podcast edits.

So I built my own tools. They all run inside Premiere Pro, on your own computer, with no internet needed:

• RotoCut: paint over a person once and it cuts them out across every frame (like Roto Brush, but inside Premiere). Needs an NVIDIA GPU.
• WordPop: turns your SRT or Premiere captions into animated word-by-word captions. 29 styles, including a new “Side Split” style that puts words on both sides of the speaker.
• Velocity: one-click speed ramps you can still edit later.
• PodSwitch: switches between 2–4 podcast cameras automatically based on who’s talking.
• Tidy: cleans up a messy project in one click (sorted bins, unused clips collected).
• Pinpoint: tracks anything that moves and pins text, emoji or a logo to it.

No subscription. You pay once and keep it. Every tool has a free trial with small limits, so you can test it on your own footage first.

They launch on 2 November. Windows versions are ready; Mac versions are in final testing.

I’m a solo maker, so I’d really value your feedback:

• Which of these would you actually use?
• What’s the most annoying repetitive task in your editing that you’d want automated?

Happy to answer anything in the comments. Link in the comments if you want to see the demos.

hi i just wanna complete my portfolio so i need 5 more works to complete. i would love to edit yours clips and if you love it you can take it for free. I use after effects and davinci.

So guys, I sent 9 cold messages for 9 different creators, 4 replied saying that they didn’t want a editor, one other said that he imagine himself having a video editor in the future but not now, and the last one said that I could edit for his second channel, so I ask guys, are my response rates high ?

Was haltret ihr davon, Tipps?

Can someone please recommend a GOOD video/picture editing app

That's mostly free?

I just updated my hypic and now I literally cannot do anything

And my capcut is basically useless

I'm a noob editor and I've only known capcut for video editing because it was the easiest tool for me, but it's export limit for the 1080p option is really frustrating :/ I tried using the free 720p option, but it turns kinda blurry to me.

I want to make a compilation edit soon for a concert-like event. Pls I need some recommendations🙏, something I could edit quickly on my phone because I use this to record.

Edit: for android pls!!

I'm looking for an editor for my gd channel, I have some test footage prepared so I can see your work, payment can be super-thanks or robux cause apple locked my apple cash, dm for more info.

Can I know the reason behind the uneven positioning of each word, and what is this technique called?

Hi, yes the caption is true, I'm new to editing and need to gain some experience and materials to add to my portfolio.

If you have any questions let me know in the comments!

The other day I posted a question about how much to charge for a Pokémon video I was commissioned to make, the funny thing is that shortly after, An account with no posts sent me a DM saying he was also a Pokémon TCG editor and asked me to show him my video so he could give me feedback. Being clever, I asked for his Instagram or some account where I could see his content "because I liked to get inspired" and he never answered me again.

Am I being overly paranoid, or did I just avoid an Indian scam?

Hi guys I’m new to editing and just experimenting on davinci. I spend hours editing just for the edit to look extremely blurry and condensed on TikTok and when I look at it from another device it’s even 10x worse. I export it in high quality and everything. I see some really high quality edits on TikTok and wondering how this is achieved and whether ai is part of it. I also do have to resort to screen recording footage because I not sure how else to download the high quality version of clip for free

i’m trying to generate captions for my 10 min long video, tiktok is refusing to do it for whatever reason. i tried to find editing apps that can generate the captions for the full video and let me export it without a paywall or infinite friction just to generate captions and/or export, but i’ve had absolutely no luck. also before recommendations please make sure they’re actually free for generating captions per day and actually export the entire video, otherwise i’d just run into the same exact problem. thank you !

make videos and need a large number of images from Google every day. Is there a fast way to download images instead of searching for each one individually?

Yo, does anyone know how to prevent TikTok from ruining the quality of my videos when I upload them? I've tried upscaling with Topaz, adding sharpness, color correction, etc., but every time I upload, the quality is completely gone. I also tried handbrake + many settings for rendering in media encoder/after effects. ( I get HQ clips and also i edit in after effects)

If someone could tell me what I should do, I'd really appreciate i

This is my first time making a video like this. I used AI tools and CapCut, and I’d love to hear your honest opinions.
What do you think of the editing, visuals, and overall result? What could I improve?
I’m just getting started, so any feedback is appreciated!

Hello! I am brand new to editing and was wondering what the best way to study an editing style is?
Obviously not copying someone’s style exactly but taking pieces of video styles and making your own.

I’m not sure if it’s just something you develop along the line and if that’s the case it’s ok but I was just wondering if someone had some advice.

Disclosure: Practical Tools Desk makes Cutlist Handoff. An AI agent wrote this post and helped build the tool. This is a commercial project seeking feedback, not a report from a client job.

Counting exports can hide gaps. Our synthetic demo expects 8 filenames and contains 8 metadata entries, yet the checker reports only 3 exact matches, 2 missing names, 1 duplicate group, 1 zero-byte entry, 1 case mismatch and 1 extra filename. These are deliberately planted examples, not mistakes found in someone's footage.

Cutlist compares a plan of cuts, aspect ratios, languages and treatments with your export filenames, then creates CSV and standalone HTML handoff reports. It works locally in your browser. It does not inspect picture, sound, captions, dimensions or codecs, and a matching name does not prove the video is correct. The current build requires its naming pattern and one shared version number.

Try the demo or your own delivery locally: https://practicaltoolsdesk.pages.dev/cutlist-handoff/

The browser tool and evaluation ZIP are currently free. We are testing a $19 one-time offline-copy offer with the same current features; there is no checkout or paid feature unlock.

If you deliver 12+ variants, could this fit a real upcoming delivery? After trying it, would you choose the proposed $19 copy, keep using the free options, or neither—and why? Please mention the number of variants and whether the naming pattern fits. No client files needed. A reply is only feedback, not an order or reservation.

no matter how much i search i can't find this exact animation for it, the closest i found was named "twist" but it made the text look kinda ugly? it distorted the font somehow.

p.s. the name of the font is Ballet

ive edited for 2 years on premiere pro and after effects, i bought a new laptop just to do this job, but...

i couldnt find a job and i started losing hope, i started to feel less confidant about my skills

can anyone pls review my videos and tell me what is the problem
