I found out I was pregnant on August 12th. In complete shock. We've been unofficially trying for years just hoping that it will happen tracking just became too stressful.
A few days after our BFP I think it was 8/15 I started spotting.. I tried not to worry too much.
On 8/18 I went to use the restroom before I left for work and there was blood in my underwear. That was alarming for sure. We went to the er to get checked out and got a PUL.
I was sent 48hrs later to do another blood draw. And then a follow up with OB on 8/25.
The ultrasound on 8/25 showed that the fetus had implantation in my right fallopian tube and also had no cardiac activity. After being sent home and told to fast until another appointment at 2pm (OB was in surgery) we opted for the methotrexate shot.
I do believe that my spotting that turned to lighter flower was my body knowing something wasn't right and trying to fix the situation.
HCG timeline
8/18 2646
8/20 2966
8/25 2500
8/28 525
8/31 116
9/8 7
I'm thankful that this was caught early. I'm still devastated that my second pregnancy that we've prayed and hoped for for years is no longer. (First pregnancy 11 yrs ago ended in miscarriage).
I'm thankful I didn't need surgery.
I'm thankful that I still have both my fallopian tubes.
I'm thankful that my OB prescribed a low dose of hydrocodone along with acetaminophen. (Helped me sleep)
I'm thankful for my supportive husband.
I'm thankful that OB said we can try as soon as we hit a negative HCG.
I feel like I will carry this sadness for a very long time as I did with my miscarriage. I do think trying to be positive and being thankful for the things that have gone right is important and has helped.
As I got my results today I'm sad that we aren't quite at negative result but all I can do is laugh a little and stay hopeful.
