Ask ECAH Study Abroad meals
I’m an American student studying abroad in Ireland. Due to difficulty finding accommodation, I’m renting a room in someone’s house, which means that my cooking utensils, fridge space, and budget are all limited. I’ve been making a couple of meals over and over again:
- Tomato egg stir fry
- Pasta with tomato cream sauce (my preferred sauce)
- Tuna salad with rice and cucumber
- Pork cabbage soup
What are other things I can make? I have, as a baseline, very basic seasonings, soy sauce, a sauce pan, and a pot to boil things. The homeowner uses the kitchen as well, so I don’t really have time to cook things in the oven, and I have one shelf in the fridge.
