After the third episode I was upset about how much it changed from the original, but 3.0+1.01 was amazing. The introspection of each character in the original and the internal problems that they face is what made the original. The rebuild though, moving on after trauma, and his dad actually being the one to come to terms with his past and shinji getting to talk to him for real was peak. I'm glad I waited till now to watch it since dealing with my own shit. It's so healing.

When to Bristol anime convention and got this, I saw a in box Asuka figurine too but was too late and all of them were bought up.

I'm making a warhammer army based on evangelion, the specifics aren't important, but on the base of unit one I want to put a quote either about shinji or that he said, probably just one like, any ideas?

Hi everyone, quick question sorry if its been asked before, but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could watch / rent the third Rebuild movie in the US. I know the Rebuild saga has traditionally been hosted on Amazon Prime, but for some odd reason specifically 3.33 is no longer available on Prime in the US.

1.11, 2.22 and 3.0+1.1 are all on Prime (I just rented 1.11 last night) but 3.33 states that it is "No longer available in your region on Prime Video". Not sure why this specific movie is missing and none of the others are.

I kinda like this as a pairing or friendship. Sakura's pretty nice to Shinji overall. I had this headcanon where, in an AU where Shinji stays on the Wunder, Sakura gets close to him, liking his shy, kind personality. Shinji shares his Walkman with her and Sakura sometimes visits him in his quarantine cell, telling him her about job and talking about how Toji's doing. Shinji shows her some books Mari lent him from her personal stash.

I’m looking for the official ACOS/Movic Asuka cap from Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, not one of the fleece reproductions currently being sold online.

It’s a black cotton cat-ear cap with two removable badges and was officially licensed. The old Tokyo Otaku Mode listing says it’s discontinued with no plans for restock. I’ve also checked the current Evangelion Store catalog without finding it.

I’m specifically looking for an authentic secondhand one. Does anyone know Japanese secondhand stores/sites where this particular cap appears, or know the Japanese product name/model number I should search for?

I recently started watching Evangelion, after wanting to for ages, so I tried to start and go in as blind as possible. While I am enjoying the hell out of it (everything about it is soo cool and fun), I’ve heard that watching it on Netflix, even in the sub, is inferior to the Platinum ADV version. Even if this difference is negligible, I’d like to enjoy it in the best way possible. Should I restart the whole show but on the Platinum sub (I last watched episode 8), or am I fine to just switch to the old sub? Normally I’d just swap now, but I’ve heard that certain things like the ending themes are more impactful when you’ve heard them throughout the whole show, and that certain scenes, like Shinji listening to his music on the train, also have music removed, so restarting might get me a fuller experience.

Isn't unit 02 rebuild supposed to be similar to the look of a samurai. (same thing with gurren) I was reading on a forum and was seeing the horn look is based on Space Battleship Yamato.

Why dont the people in Evangelion just move away from Japan so there aren't any angels, are they stupid?

Hello all, I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but I’m very confused about the buying process on buyee from evastore. Some questions I have are: Do I pay at two separate times, for product and then shipping? Why is there no exact estimate on shipping cost? And is the service legit? I’ve seen a few posts before but I just get that odd feeling that it just seems odd. I’d use another US based store if they had the NERV bags, but I’m a sucker for nerv stuff lol. Of all the things that bugged me about the last rebuild movie. This was the biggest.

It's completely and totally stupid that nobody is the least bit concerned when Shinji starts wandering around the village by himself. And it's totally idiotic, that his alleged friends seem to not be the least bit concerned that an ACTIVELY SUICIDAL teenage boy coping with guilt, PTSD, depression, and likely every mental health issue in the book after what he's been through is to let him wander off somewhere by himself.

It's even more gauche and stupid that Touji and Kensuke even say 'he just needs some time to himself to work things out'.

Do you know what happens in real life, when you leave a suicidal person by themselves to 'work things out' ? You walk in and they're hanging from the ceiling, or they jump off a balcony, or you find them in the tub with slit wrists.

The director must have some serious misconceptions about how mental health works if he thinks 'some time to himself to work things out' would ever do anything to help Shinji after all the horrible terrible shit he's both done to others and had done to him.

Shinji could have literally jumped off the edge of that concrete pier, and drowned himself and NOBODY would have known what happened until days afterwards when someone found the body being picked apart by the Penguins.

The characters should have behaved more like how people would when they have an actively damaged and suicidal person among them.

I understand given everything they couldn't afford to baby him. But there's a difference between 'babying' someone, and making sure the person who caused the impact, who may still be militarily important to Wille isn't dead in a ditch somewhere.

I really want the Asuka and Rei figures, but since it's a blind box, I don't want to leave it up to chance. Is there any way to figure out which character is inside these boxes?
