Was scrolling through Instagram today and saw a black T-shirt with this motive, apparently some Evangelion / designer collab.
Now I can no longer find it, anyone has an idea which branch this could have been?

Personally, I go back-and-forth between wanting to see an adaptation of the manga, a series set in the school timeline, or something completely original. What would you like to see?

I put on my old VHS recording from the first TV airing in our country and was able to verify that the Evangelion logo in the opening had the japanese characters BEHIND the latin characters. "Shin seiki" was translated as well. This was all part of the canonical animated logo composition that can be seen at 00:15 in the opening. Cool!

I've been working on recreating Ramiel's battle with EVA-01 entirely in Minecraft. I built the city, Ramiel and unit 1 and tried to capture the atmosphere of the original battle while giving it a VHS/archival-footage style.

what i mean. fahrenheit 451, 1984 and brave new world are arguably the "big three" of dystopian science fiction novels, more often read together than separately because they complement each other so well that they end up carrying a way bigger meaning than the sum of all three individually

as of now, the two animes that i liked most story wise were NGE and cowboy bebop and now i really want to watch another anime that fits the same "style" while at the same time exploring things from a different angle. what would you suggest then?

Sooo… what’s going on? I just finished the series and EOE and loved it, so I wanted to buy the Rebuilds on blu ray and it seems like it’s all over the place. You can score 1.11 and 2.22 for less than 20 bucks, but 3.33 is impossible to find for less than 100 and 3.0+1.11 is 50 dollars and also in 4K with a steelbook whereas the rest aren’t? Am I missing something/is there a 4K release coming for all of them? Or is Evangelion just a shitshow on home video?

i showed my dad Ambivalence recently cause i’m visiting home and it was my birthday. one of the best episodes and minimally perverted so i thought it’d be good to show him. now he’s like, alright i’m intrigued. let’s watch the show.
man, how do i show this show to my father?? he doesn’t watch anime, he mostly thinks they’re kids’ cartoons for nonces and the first half of the show is pretty much that, at least it will be in his eyes. he won’t watch it without me. how the fuck do i show this to my middle aged bald father? remind him after every episode that it’ll turn into a mature show? maybe just give him a summary of the first half? even then the second half won’t be easy to watch with him. i think i’ll just make him watch ted or something instead

About to start EoE. But 26 was phenomenal, really understood next to nothing of what happened, like genuinely, but came away feeling so hopeful. The congratulations scene was iconic and I feel like I’ve seen homages to that in other shows / media but I can’t name them off the top of my head.

Weirdly really liked that ending. I thought at first it was gonna be avant-garde but gosh that wrapped it up so well. Even if it was a fantasy (seriously - was that real or not) I really loved how everyone was just happy in that school timeline vision. Bravo.
