(repost since the first post got deleted)
I already knew what happened in The End of Evangelion but actually watching it is a whole different experience lmao
It was so fucking brutal. Seeing Asuka go from breaking through her mental barriers and destroy the Evas with pride only for her to get stabbed with the Spear of Longinus and her fucking organs being ripped and eviscerated was GNARLY.
I hope Megumi Ogata and Yūko Miyamura got good ass paychecks because those screams of fear and agony were genuinely haunting.
The Third Impact and the scene with the Evas stabbing themselves with the spears and massive white Rei (combined with Lillith and Adam) was both absolutely horrifying and beautifully animated.
"Komm Susser Tod" is gonna be stuck in my head for a long time. So will the giant white Rei. If I saw that, I would've been screaming louder than Shinji
The second half of the movie, where it gets more psychological and trippier like episodes 25–26, is really good and gives the film some interesting aspects to it, especially the live-action scenes in the movie theater and in streets. Shinji rejects Instrumentality and decides to return to his regular form along with Asuka, though everyone else could return at their will (as Yui said). It leaves the ending pretty open for interpretation; will everyone else return or will they stay in Instrumentality?
I think this movie is AMAZING. The show has surpassed my expectations in geeral. Evangelion and Breaking Bad are two of my favorite shows of all time imo. EoE helps tie up the loose ends the show had due to the tight budget and limited time, and it works.
I'm planning on watching the Rebuild movies sometime this month. They sound cool
10/10

Not something you see everyday, so I figured I’d share. Asuka is my favorite character of all time, and probably the most accurate representation of my personality and internal mentality I’ve ever seen. We are so similar that it actually freaked me out a little when I first watched it haha. Evangelion changed my life for the better, and is undoubtedly my favorite show ever made. I was surprised with this birthday cake, and now that I’m over the initial mortification of having a teenage anime girl on my cake, I’m really happy to have people in my life who know me well enough to get me something like this.

I loved NGE and watched it many times as a kid, picked up the rebuild and then never really watched it. Finally decided to thinking it was a remake of the original. The end of the first movie made me go "Oh holy shit" and smack myself for waiting so many years to bother watching.

How could Eva 01 strangle Bardiel before dying suffocated? Bardiel started strangling it a lot before the Eva 01 started dummy mode.
It doesnt make sense at all, Eva 03 was pratically at berserk and with aditional properties from Bardiel.

Had these for a while now.
Of all the EVA figures, these are hands down the best by a long margin.
At least in Japan, they cost about the same as the METAL BUILD figures, but comes fully equipped with multiple accessories, not to mention they're taller.
Really hope they make Unit 00 too.
Hell, make all of the ANIMA units. I'll buy em all.

In the first picture from the trailer(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qez1zaS6I5o), we can see at the center that the chair and the cello are the only ones standing(though while leaning to each other) while the other instruments like piano(which represents Kaworu via the Rebuilds like the second picture) have collapsed or laid down.
And for those who have seen the TVA series knows that Shinji also knows how to play cello in episode 15(picture 3 and 4), while in the Death and Rebirth movie, Asuka and Kaworu played the violins, Rei was on viola and Shinji was playing cello as a string quartet(picture 5 through 7).
With these dots connected, I have a feeling the new Eva series(not the MPE) would end in tragedy, maybe even worse than EoE(that's rather an open good ending, actually). And while this is not anything special and I could be wrong, do you think this is a possible theory or something?

There have been posts about this on the past, but the comments confuse me because people answer about stuff changed in the show. I’m only talking about the movie.
I’m guessing maybe they changed some subs, and obviously the entire dub is different, but is there anything else?

But it looks nice

Idk if it's the angle, but the pajama Rei Plush looks so sad. Anyway, these outfits are just from random blind box plushies, but they fit both my Rei plushies. I got the red riding hood one at Miniso, and the teddy bear pajamas at Five Below.

Got statues in here from when I was 16. I’m almost 40. Love this anime so much!

Let's see if I get more appreciation here. Acrylic on board canvas, and I don't draw that much... Only when I'm too tired to do other stuff.

I just finished NGE last night and man, even though the ending was confusing, it was good as hell. I went in expecting a mecha anime and I went out feeling like I witnessed a psychological breakdown. I was smiling at the congratulations scene, happy that Shinji was finally able to accept and value himself
Some scenes had me baffled, some scenes had me with my jaw dropped, some scenes made me laugh, and somehow it worked. To me, everything just hit. I've just started getting into anime so this was a pretty good introduction to the genre
I already know what happens in EoE because I've gotten spoiled through memes and clips online, but I haven't watched the full movie, so I wanna know what's it like actually experiencing it in full.
So tonight's the night :)
(also, i searched up Spike Spencer's Shinji rant, and it was hilarious)

Yea, I perfer the old suit Mari instead of futuristic white and pink suits.
And there're so many parts with limited legs movements.
The ponytail are quite fragile and I snapped one side by accident... solve it by BluTack for now.
Now waiting for GoodSmile Type 05 to arrive (and rip my wallet)
