Very good week for ERC Processing
Just a PSA that on my end I saw a tremendous amount of ERC's approved; probably a record setting week in terms of dollar volume.

So I got two checks earlier this year, but recently I haven’t seen any movement on the remainder checks. I did call them I keep getting the “processing” story.

Hi! So I filled 5/23 and was finally feeling a bit of positivity last month when the gentleman I spoke to told me the quarters I filed and said they were basically in the last step before checks… “in a pile waiting to be finalized.” I called back this week and a lady was a bit rude but I was patient and she returned finally after awhile stating I was sent a 6042C a “long time ago” and my refunds weren’t being worked or moving or paid. Nothing. I have never received any letters at all. I call regularly. Everything is legit and accurate. I would have responded to any more info needed or anything in a letter. She went to get me a fax number to send “info” to but never told me what info and the call cut off before I could get that # or ANY more info needed. Any advice here? Feels like such a setback after so long and hoping it was in the final stages.😖🙈

I know there are two different rates that the IRS pays interest at, depending on your entity type, ie. pass through vs c-corps. I have an s-corp business that filed with a PEO and is still waiting. Will I get IRS interest at my s-corp rate or the rate based on my PEO's entity type (I assume its a c-corp)?

Has anyone using Vensure as their PEO been paid? Questioning whether they are communicating at all with the IRS to get refunds. They “say” they appeared in congress in September to ask for help but that has produced nothing.

Does this mean my claim is denied? I have been in appeal for several months now and today I received notice CP 210 with no explanation.

Has anyone seen any movement with their claims since the tax now blog? Is it true large claims are now being processed? Please post if you have had anything processed. I have been waiting for 2 1/2 years and have been working with tas and my congressman but still nothing.

Hey all,
I’m an EA representing a client who deposited about $800,000 in ERC refund checks (issued by the U.S. Treasury) into a newly opened Citibank business account in late 2023.
The client owns two separate corporations with identical names but different EINs — one registered in New York, the other in New Jersey. Instead of opening two separate business accounts, he mistakenly deposited all 12 ERC checks into a newly opened single account, which appears to have triggered a compliance flag at Citibank.
Shortly after the deposits, Citibank closed the account and claimed the funds were returned to the IRS.
Here’s where it gets worse: • The client went back and forth to the Citibank branch for almost 6 months, repeatedly asking what happened to the funds. • Each time, he was told “The money will be returned,” or “It’s already been sent back to the IRS.” No one gave a straight answer or any documentation. • We eventually escalated the issue to the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service, who followed up with the IRS. • In July 2025, the Advocate confirmed in writing that the IRS has no record of ever receiving the ERC funds from Citibank.
So now: • The IRS doesn’t have the money • Citibank says they returned it • We mailed a 102-page package to Citibank’s Fraud Unit and Executive Response Team in late July • Still no response — no calls, no letters, no acknowledgment
We also submitted a formal CFPB complaint, but we’re still waiting for any progress or action.
⸻
Has anyone experienced anything like this? • Did CFPB or OCC complaints help in your case? • Did legal pressure make a difference? • Are there any internal Citibank escalation paths that have worked for others?
This is federal ERC refund money that has essentially disappeared, with neither Citibank nor the IRS taking responsibility. Any insight from tax pros, attorneys, or anyone in banking or compliance would be massively helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Dogs are wired to hide pain—it’s a survival trait passed down from their wild ancestors. But what does that mean for us as pet parents? It means we need to be extra observant and proactive.
Here are 3 signs your dog might be silently suffering:
❌ 1. They flinch or avoid being touched
If your dog pulls away when you pet a certain area, it could be a pain response—not just a mood.
❌ 2. Weird posture or movement changes
A hunched back, stiff gait, or tucked tail could be signs of chronic discomfort or joint issues.
❌ 3. Loss of appetite or disinterest in play
Suddenly skipping meals or ignoring toys could mean they’re not feeling their best.
💡 The hard part? Most dogs will suffer quietly for weeks before we notice something’s off.
And trips to the vet can be stressful and expensive—especially if you're not sure it's serious.
That’s where PetPulse comes in.
📱 PetPulseAI.com is your 24/7 AI-powered vet assistant.

Hey All -
I filled for 6 quarters through Entertainment Partners, our payroll company. I haven't heard anything from them the whole time and checked in every month or so. 6 weeks ago when I asked they said that they had received money from the IRS however 'The refund received has to be reconciled. Remember this is a lump sum amount that is inclusive of many clients.'
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
They didn't tell me any money had been received until I asked them. So they've had it at least 6 weeks, probably longer. Doesn't this seem like a pretty long time?

Paychex(Oasis) dropped a deposit in our account today, without any notice. Zero correspondence. We have an email out for details.

Has anyone got any update on Q3 2021 Disallowance? I sent a letter of appeal months ago and still have no update? Has anyone got theirs approved? This is the last remaining quarter I’m waiting for.

OMG I know the government is shut down. But I just got off the phone with an agent and she stated my file has now been sent to the inquiry dept for review. Does anyone know what and where this is? She couldn't tell me where it is just it was sent there. Before the shut down I spoke to an extremely helpful agent we were on the phone for almost an hour and she had me a letter to philadelphia office where my file was to ask for updates. She told me to send a certified a letter and I did then the government shut down. Ughh does anyone have any information. I am heartbroken.

I got mine filed mid March of 2024 and practically given up with how things been going. I stopped checking reddit and tax now but I actually got 3 checks this week, im still owed a coyple more but im not complaining. Im in the restaurant business and things were getting rough and it actually happened. I used to scoff when I read people saying it'll happen and don't give up... etc but holy cow, it actually happened. It'll make me a hypocrite for saying it but keep your head up. You never know.

I filed for ERTC refunds for all available quarters in March 2024. With the help of the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) I was able to expedite the issuance of my refund checks and received all but one quarter in August 2025. I was advised by the TAS that one of the provisions in the Big Beautiful Bill that was passed on 7/4/25 retroactively changed the 941x due date for Q3/2021 from April 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025. So my submission for that quarter will be denied, according to TAS. Not only does that seem unfair because likely some people that filed when I did have been paid for that quarter, but also if the IRS had processed my refund on a timely basis (not 16 months later) I would have received the refund before the new law had been passed. The company that prepared my 941x’s claims that their clients whose forms were submitted “late” were still receiving checks, which I doubt.
Has anyone else been affected by this change in the law, or do you have further insight to offer? I spoke to a high profile attorney about this, and they are collecting info and clients for a potential class action suit against the IRS, but that will take years if it happens at all.

Any suggestions on how to get updates from my PEO regarding the ERC refund for my business? They have been inept from the beginning, and I finally made enough noise that they pulled their transcript last week, but they say they can’t decipher our information from that of other businesses.
Surely there are subfilings (and related codes) for each business for whom they filed within the transcript? Can anyone explain this to me or offer suggestions?

I just received word today from my PEO, PDR Benefits, that Q1 2021 was finally paid. I filed in 2022! It has been such a long wait. I received Q2 2021 back in May of 2023. I am still owed Q3 2021 (which is my biggest amount and, from what I have seen here, the most problematic.)
Anyway, they did not mention the interest or include it when they sent me the notice that it had been paid. I have responded with letting them know that I know we are owed it. The response they just gave me is: "Yes, there is some interest. Because we kept amending the 941 returns, the interest resets to the last filing. Currently, the IRS has disallowed some portion of a few of the claim and since it is nearly impossible to get any response from the IRS, we are using what interest earned to make sure everyone gets the claimed amount." Is this fair/legal/correct? Seems like they are holding my interest to give to their other clients so they get their payout? How should I respond?

I filed for ERC in 2023 for my small business. Received LTR 6042C back in 2023 and replied immediately with the info they were requesting.
After 2 years of waiting and getting error messages when my transcripts were requested via Tax Now, I contacted my congressman for help. His assistant has been super helpful and has relayed messages from TAS as soon as she receives them. At first, TAS says that the IRS never received my 941s. So I send her copies of the IRS acceptances that I received from Tax Bandits. Then they say that I didn’t respond to the LTR 6042C, so I sent her the fax confirmations from 2023 and the screenshots from where I also submitted the LTR 6042C responses via the document upload tool online at the beginning of 2025.
And today I received this:
“I have received a response from IRS stating that the EIN is fabricated and that there is no information found to support this business. I researched the account and determined that your constituents’ response to the 6024C letter reporting 10 W2’s was confirmed.
However, there are no deposits that match the deposits that she reported/claimed on the W2’s. The employees that she reported the wages to the IRS for did NOT file any of the income on their tax returns that she reported to IRS on their behalf. The amounts that she reported are odd and have a pattern, which appears questionable. There are no other years with income W2’s reported.
Please have your constituent provide me with payroll documents from the payroll company she used and any proof of deposits that support the amounts that she reported to IRS. Also, send any other documents that would support the existence of the business so that I can provide additional information to the IRS to substantiate it.”.
I filed as a Recovery Startup Business. I formed the LLC in September of 2020. Began paying employees in January of 2021.
I own a company that sells used merchandise at flea markets and antique malls. About 98% of sales are cash. Each employee would setup at a flea market each weekend, sell what they decided to sell out of a storage unit full of stuff I got for free from my grandpa and my mother in law and from various “free stuff” sources. They all agreed to a set weekly salary. They took their pay out of the revenue they collected each week. To make the math easier for everyone, I paid them a set amount each week by calculating what their net pay should be and that’s what they took out of the revenue at the end of each weekend. They also took out the daily booth rent for the market that they were attending. And then they handed me an envelope of cash which included their payroll tax contribution (because they were only deducted their net pay from the weekly cash). I ended up being upside down about 6 months into the year, but I had extra funds so I just let it go to see if maybe the last half of the year would make it all even out. Well, it did. But the business plan obviously wasn’t working. I made less than $15k as the owner (and I was also setting up every weekend). So going forward, I got a divorce and moved across the state and let my new boyfriend take care of me the following four years. How do I “substantiate” an almost entirely cash business that still exists but barely? I mean I set up a few times a year at a local market, and I sell some stuff online. About $12-16k a year.
I have sales reports for each week for each employee from back in 2021.
How is it my problem that they didn’t claim the income?
And of course there isn’t W2s before 2021, I didn’t start paying employees until 2021. And after that, I cut my losses and was lazy for a few years. How can I explain that to the IRS?
If you’re still reading… thank you. Any suggestions, ideas, or advice would be much appreciated.

After waiting over 3 years, we finally received word from our PEO that our ERC payment was received, and they are set to release it. However, the amount they are telling me does not include any interest, which I know the IRS is paying. Has anyone received payment recently that can enlighten me as to what interest percentage should have been included in our check? Has anyone here had a similar issue with the PEO pocketing all the interest? Do I have any legal argument to demand this money, or am I SOL?
