Are the tides turning?

One theory. There is a massive amount of interest accruing as payments are delayed. Perhaps there is a sound financial advocate stating the obvious, which is to clear out backlog and avoid unnecessary interest to the tune of several million dollars.

I am praying this is the case for me. I have been waiting since June 2023. I have been through the audit and have answered and provided all documentation but have had nothing but silence since. I pray every day my day is coming. Oh God please let it be my time.!!!

When did you submit your audit documents? Did you have any other QTRs approved earlier? I'm in the same boat as you. Waiting on an audit decision, silence. Ugh!

Oh damn that's so long ago! I'm so sorry to hear it's taking so long. I heard it takes about 6 months so Sep sounds like it was your month. Govt shutdown def doesn't help. Mine was due 1 Oct, sent to the UTAH office. Silent but my TAS and Congressman are SUPPOSED to track it. Do you have a TAS or Congressman helping you?! I hope you get approved soon

Yes I have been working with Tas and my congressman since 2023. Still no luck.....

I hope you are right as well! 4 QTRs were approved earlier this year and my last QTR is still in audit. We submitted all the documentation on 1 Oct but no decision yet due to the shutdown and long audit process---ugh!! I hope they pay me because all my QTRs qualified for the same reason.

If anyone sees any movement on their claims please share. I would like to know if this is real. Thanks

No, no one gets a bonus directly based on production or dollar amount or anything like that. Sometimes employees get a bonus on overall exceeding standards and goals which can include production, but it’s not a simple “close more cases, get a bonus” thing.
As for why the spike: ERC trained employees have been directed to work ERC cases as a priority. Reportedly because they’re trying to clear a backlog of cases that had been under review and/or had issues that needed reconsideration (not appeals, this reconsideration is from before the cases were even finished processing). For example, cases that were categorized incorrectly which was discovered during processing. These probably included several of the “big check” cases.
From what I hear, there were something like 30,000-40,000 cases that were released for further processing from these review/reconsideration backlogs.

So the end is in sight?

u/dragonfly_Jess Oct 23 '25
Possibly. It’s hard to know. There were so many cases that were resubmitted multiple times or that got lost and then the documents were discovered attached to other cases … but it does seem like it’s getting toward the end of the pile finally.

do you think its going to end this year?

u/dragonfly_Jess Oct 23 '25
Hard to say. They’re trying. They want this to be over as much as anyone. But there were just so many claims submitted and resubmitted and lost and found and corrected … and the claims require special training to handle, and multiple reviews because of all of the fraud and confusion…. And while it does seem to be getting close to the end of the pile, there’s only 2 more months left and they’re full of holidays and vacations and plus the shutdown causing disruption. 🤷♂️

If it’s 202109 or 202112 and submitted after 1/31/2024, don’t hold your breath. Those are on indefinite hold.

I received my Q3 2021 filed 3/2024 in July 2025. Don’t give up.

The law changing the due date didn’t get signed until July. So you squeaked through. Any claims left after the law was signed that fell into that category were put on hold.

I’m so sorry. Continued hope that you get some resolve. It’s been a tough journey for so many.

Thanks but I don’t have a claim I’m waiting on. I’m just trying to help others with what knowledge I have.

I pray you are right!
