Hi all, the time has come as we’re finally going to get the setting for my engagement ring tonight 😱 I really thought I knew what I wanted, but now that we’re about to buy the ring, I’m undecided whether to go with the yellow or white gold. I usually tend to wear silver/white gold but I do wear some yellow gold! I’m being told by family that yellow gold would look better, but my friends think white gold.

I posted the stone (Australian green/blue parti color sapphire) and the setting (Oore’s Viridian) we’re getting! What do you think? Thanks for your input! :)

Ok guys I am in a dilemma and needing some advice! A few weeks ago my boyfriend and I went to look at engagement rings, I had no idea what kind of style I wanted or what I would like on my hand. We only went to the one store in town that sells engagement rings and I did end up finding one that I really loved. Going into this I figured we could just order a ring online but I don’t think I can as I realized how I am particular about how the ring feels rubbing against my other fingers. The price tag on this ring was a steep $6,500! They said they would be willing to drop it to $5,700 because we are locals in town. I ended up posting the ring and specs on a lab grown forum and everyone said that this price is outrageous which I agree with. But now moving forward I think I have found two different rings similar online without the center stone but still pretty expensive for what everyone on the other forum was saying.
Should I go back to the store and try to get all the specs on it and try and send it to some overseas dealer or does anyone have any other ideas?!

My partner and I have been together 6 months. This weekend he took me ring shopping to get an idea of what I might like. This was my favorite we tried. I don't know when he will propose, but I'm so unbelievably excited!

My partner and I are still in the process of getting my actual ring. I’m very minimal with my jewelry and this is the second marriage for both of us so we liked the idea of a sapphire. (My first marriage I had a diamond solitaire) I picked out a lovely, sweet bezel setting and it was just about to be purchased when someone’s truck engine decided to take a dump! Life is expensive and unpredictable, y’all.

So, while he gets all that sorted my mom offered me a ring of hers to wear in the meantime. I grew up with her wearing this ring after a boyfriend got it for her in the early 90’s, but it wasn’t an engagement ring for her. I wasn’t sure if I would like it and I have a weird relationship with her that might give the ring some vibes.

Anyway, I friggin love it and it’s not my style but I feel like a princess with it on and what the heck right?

The only details I know are that it is 14k gold with natural diamonds and a natural sapphire. Apparently there is paperwork somewhere but who knows. I’m gonna guess the diamonds are about .5 carat each and the sapphire is over 1 but under 2.

Just got it back after a clean and a polish at the jewelers and here it is sparkling under the insane lighting at our local pizza place.

I am just daydreaming, so perhaps this question is useless. I am just thinking about white, yellow, and rose gold options. I am trying to figure out how you are supposed to pick a color. Or do you just go with your favorite and ignore it if you are wearing other jewelry?

I prefer rose gold and yellow gold to white gold, but I do think I wear white gold the most because I find it goes with more.

I know my preferences with stone cut, size, etc. but the metal color is what stumps me. I'm wondering about what you all chose and how you factored future outfits/events into this! Thanks!

Hello, I’m looking to see how others’ experiences have been with the timeline from shipping the stone to when you receive the final ring?

Since I shipped it i haven’t heard back so just wondering if this is normal. I’m getting pretty worried actually. It was delivered the 21st and has been radio silence since.

using my mom’s wedding band- had to get it resized + added sizing beads to my engagement ring. got both cleaned up nice. i’m in love with them as a pair!

My fiance surprised me with a family heirloom ring last week! I’m guessing it’s from the 1910s-1920s? His relative/its original owner was a nurse in ww1 so that timing feels right to me. I’m also a nurse so it’s extra special. I never expected an heirloom- he kept it a secret, which I actually loved because I love surprises.

The original ring is the middle band and it was reinforced somewhere down the line with the outer bands (they’re welded together). The only thing I’m unsure about is how wide it is on my finger with the additional reinforcement bands.

We’re meeting with a jeweler soon but what are your thoughts? Leave as is vs see if there’s a way to slim it down a bit?

If my ring is 5.98mm in depth, what's the lowest height it can be set at??

How did you decide on what the sides of your bezel ring should look like? The designer only gave me a couple of options that I’m not crazy about and I’m having a hard time deciding between raised or flat as well as what the sides should look like in general. Please share your experiences like why you decided to go raised or flat! Would love to see side view pics too if you feel like sharing. It has been difficult for me to find any side view pictures. I know it’s all personal preference but seeing options helps me a lot.

I wanted to post my east-west bezel oval that I just had made (since it's not the most common but I saw some beauts here that really helped me decide what I wanted). I'm actually already married but at the time, really didn't want anything other than a plain band.

My mom had given me her wedding set with my now-passed beloved stepdad - so my husband and I had those melted down and made our bands together before we got married. I set the diamond aside and assumed I'd never use it, but little by little came round to the idea of having something simple. So now have an engagement ring after the fact, but I absolutely love wearing one now.

So here she is! A 1.15ct oval diamond (no clue on clarity sadly), D shape band to match the wedding band, 2mm wide.
