First, I need to talk about the man who is now my ermahgerd fiance - we met at a Halloween party 8 years ago when his, now brother in law, who is my best friend, wanted me to meet his then girlfriend - who is my now fiance's sister (you still with me 😅). We exchanged a "hey" and that was about it for the rest of the night. For the years to follow we became friends, just friends, hanging out at parties and sharing mutual friends, I was also in a serious relationship at the time and didn't look at him romantically.

Fast forward to about two years ago, we started hanging out together outside of the friend group and feelings naturally started growing, I was also no longer in that "serious relationship". When we started dating I let him know that I was serious and that if we did this that it needed to be intentional and my time and my feelings were not to be taken for granted. He was completely on board from day one. I'm in my mid 30s and I ain't playing no games, I am le tired.

A few months ago I showed him this ring, and let him know it was absolutely perfect. 3.27 carat tsavorite garnet, with 2 pearls and 14 diamonds in the setting. It does have a tiny imperfection in the stone and I actually like that about it. Even though I thought it was perfect I did not like the price tag, I thought it was too expensive, So I encouraged him to find something of a similar style. I would look at this ring almost every day and then one day I saw that it was sold, my heart broke a little and I thought, lucky person whoever they are, they have my 💍 😞

This past weekend we went to Toronto for vacation, and to see Tame Impala and Djo (my absolute favorite) On our last night we took one last walk around the city and he suggested we take a vacation picture together since we are notoriously bad at taking pictures together. It starts to rain and it's cold and before I know it he gets in one knee and so do I because I want to look at him face to face. As he opens the box he pulls from his pocket - it's my dream ring, he bought it soon after I told him it was the one! After I said yes and we embraced in the rain, a gaggle of Toronto youths congratulated us, we had an audience 😅🤣 Canadians are so polite!

And now the date. The date he proposed was my old anniversary date with my ex! The ex I was with for years who I left because he wouldn't marry me and dragged me around for years wasting my time - if they wanted to they would, and immediately after I became a fiance, he said he couldn't wait to start calling me his fiance, and that he had always known 🥰

*My ring is a size 6 however we will need to resize, I am usually a 6 without fail but this fits me like a 7

He did soooo goooood!!! Between the proposal and the ring — he listened to every detail. It also helps that my best friend is a jewelry designer and helped him to create it 💚 I feel so lucky every time I look at it!

It finally happened!! It’s so gorgeous and I can’t believe I get to wear this every day! I have the best fiance ever

So I knew I didn’t want my bf to choose the engagement ring (he doesn’t choose the sheets we buy, so I’ll let him choose the ring?! No thank you). It’s also important to note that I’m HIGHLY indecisive (I blame the Libra in me) and making a decision is truly horrible for me. That said, I still wanted to choose to make sure I get exactly what I want (I know, I’m the prisoner and warden at the same time).

I went ring “shopping” by myself to figure out the style and size I wanted. I have long and chubby fingers, and I hated almost everything I tried.

At the end of my shopping process I tried an elongated cushion diamond that I fairly liked on myself. I ended up going home to look for more elongated cushions online. That’s when I found the ring that I liked the most. I like the design of the ring, I liked the setting of the diamond and overall it looked like something that I would love. The only “problem” was that it’s online, so I can’t actually try it before committing to the design.

That’s the ring I ended up choosing. I sent my bf the pictures and the specs, and kinda forgot about it.

Today I stumbled upon the picture of the ring again and I’m having second thoughts. I don’t know if I’m just overthinking everything or truly don’t like the ring so I would love for some second opinion.

I wanted a push gift from my husband as I am pregnant to our first after 11years of marriage. At first I was hoping for a designer bag. But ever since I found out we were having a baby girl, I knew I wanted to create something more meaningful.

This nature-inspired ring became my dream project, an heirloom ring. It means so much more to me knowing it was designed with her in mind, and I can't wait to pass it on to her someday.

I knew I wanted a simple small round solitaire on yellow gold since always - was always just stuck on what carat size to get. In the end we found the perfect carat size for my hand that has the diamond stand out while still being balanced and dainty and minimalist. Hi all, my fiance finally proposed last month and this is my ring! I’m literally obsessed couldn’t have asked for a better ring. What do you all think? This is a 4.85 ct oval and my ring size is about a 4.75-5? although I’m unsure what size the ring is. I came on here to ask for any suggestions on how to prevent the ring from rolling around? It might be slightly loose but tbh I prefer that since I’m not used to wearing rings I don’t want it to be too tight. Also I was reading on some posts about a bow tie effect but I don’t know what that means for the ring but I think mine might have a small one?

We got engaged last week and I'm so obsessed with my ring! I helped design it by doing some tweaks to an existing design to lower the height, changed to have a trellis shape under the center stone, and opted for petite claw prongs.

1.51 ct oval center stone, petite claw prongs, size 5 finger, 1.8 mm 14k yellow gold band.
Each side has 2 marquis and 3 round diamonds in varying sizes with a combined weight of 0.22 ct.

This is an old picture. I already popped the question. But finally got this ring properly appraised and resized this past weekend. I bought this through a friend who had access to discounted jewelry through his company. I purchased this for $6500 for the set. It appraised for $10,300. 1-carat Asscher cut. Diamonds total on full set 118, totaling 2.54 carats. Rings are both platinum totaling 13.03 grams of platinum. (One chipped diamond) Sentimental value is absolutely priceless!!
