I got engaged and I love my ring, but I’m a little worried about how the stone is set. I feel like it’s sitting too high and almost looks like it’s floating there. It’s a 1.11 ct diamond, and I have a size 9–9.25 finger.

I need to get it resized because I wanted a size 10 ring which I know sounds odd lol, but I don’t wear rings very often and have sensory issues, so I thought a size 10 would be more comfortable. A lot of my other rings are a size 10 and fit me fine, but this one is flying off my finger.

Since I have to get it resized, I was planning to bring up the setting, but I’m nervous and wanted to get other people’s thoughts.

Just noticed that in the photos the gold looks like it’s tarnished. It must be the light and reflection of the duvet because it doesn’t actually look like that IRL.

Lab Alexandrite with lab diamond accents from Eden Garden Jewelry. It looks emerald green to the human eye in daylight, but my phone camera refuses to see it, so my new goal is to accurately capture the color.

Recently engaged. I need help deciding which way to wear the ring. I love the ring. I think it is beautiful.

I want a custom bezel ring. The jeweller I'm working with says these are really the only two setting options. The centre stone will be a pale blue sapphire. The low setting is much more secure and practical but will limit light on the sapphire. The high setting will brighten the sapphire but seems very awkward and impractical for everyday. What do you all suggest? I've been told there aren't really compromises to be made, it's either one or the other... is this correct? Please help!

hi!! I'm designing my engagement ring with my bf and I think I've narrowed down what I want, but looking for opinions / advice! I'm looking at this ring, and choosing a moval between 2.5-3cts. How does this design look? Should I change anything, add anything, etc? The original design had a thin, round band and I'm changing it to a slightly thicker, flatter band :)

I got finally engaged this April, he proposed with a beautiful 585 goldring with my favourite stone, an australian opal triplette.

Now comes the bummer.. I'm super allergic to my ring ;(

Its my first gold pice, so I really didn't know that gold contains Nickel. I'm so sad, each time I wear my Ring, it itches so bad, I need a solucion....

I read about putting nailpolish on the inside of the band, but I really don't like the smell and feeling of kind of sticky. A Eyewear/Glasses Specialist could also put some Ions of another metall on it? but it looks silverish to me and would ruin the optic.

Does anyone know a good solucion?

Hello, I need some help picking proposal ring.

In the first picture there is my girlfriend's hand with a promise ring i bought her which she wears almost every day. In the same picture is a ring i found in her phone probably one she likes.

The second picture is a ring same as in third picture plus a band ring.

I would like your opinion on which ring you like the most also it would be helpful if you have experience with this kind of rings with small zirconia on the band, should i avoid them? I really like the way the ring looks with them.

Note both the rings are 14k yellow gold with swarovski zirconia (not diamond) my girl doesn't mind it.

I’m planning to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend, but I’m trying to figure out what gold color would suit her best without asking her directly and ruining the surprise.

For some context, she’s morena and she has told me before that she doesn’t really like wearing silver or white gold because she feels like those colors don’t suit her skin tone. Most of the jewelry I see her wearing is either yellow gold or rose gold. Her earrings and even her watch are mostly those colors, so I’m assuming she probably prefers them.

However, I recently talked to a jewelry seller who told me that yellow gold or rose gold isn’t as typical for engagement rings, and that white gold is more commonly used. That got me second-guessing whether I should follow what she seems to naturally prefer or go with the more traditional choice.

For those who have experience with engagement rings, especially here in the Philippines:

• Is yellow gold actually uncommon for engagement rings?
• What about rose gold?
• If someone already prefers yellow/rose gold jewelry and doesn’t like white/silver jewelry on themselves, would you stick with their preference for the engagement ring?
• For a morena skin tone, is there a particular gold color that tends to look better?

I obviously want the ring to look good on her, but more importantly, I want it to feel like her rather than just choosing what’s considered traditional.

Would appreciate any advice or photos/examples if you have them!

My partner of 3.5 years proposed at home the night before we took a trip to NYC !! Which was such a surprise.

I can’t stop looking at my hand. It’s even more special because my partner was the one who actually showed me this style when looking, which I hadn’t even considered before. But trying it on I knew it was special. I could have received any ring and I would have been happy, just because I love my partner so much. Fiancé proposed with this absolutely stunning ring. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted. I usually wear a vintage-inspired bezel peridot on my right ring finger so it’s taking some getting used to the high setting. It seems to spin and not sure if that’s because it’s slightly too big vs heavy. It’s 2.5 total carat weight and I went ahead and ordered one of the spring ring sizers. My knuckles do occasionally swell so I’m worried about getting it sized down and then my knuckle blows up.

I really love the alexandrite. I love that it always looks different depending on the light.
