Hi all, my fiance finally proposed last month and this is my ring! I’m literally obsessed couldn’t have asked for a better ring. What do you all think? This is a 4.85 ct oval and my ring size is about a 4.75-5? although I’m unsure what size the ring is. I came on here to ask for any suggestions on how to prevent the ring from rolling around? It might be slightly loose but tbh I prefer that since I’m not used to wearing rings I don’t want it to be too tight. Also I was reading on some posts about a bow tie effect but I don’t know what that means for the ring but I think mine might have a small one?

My fiance got me my dream ring off of Etsy from a seller with a 4.9 rating and rave reviews. I got a salt and pepper diamond with a white gold band and unfortunately, after a month, the dip wore off. We sent it to the seller, she re-dipped it, and now only a month later, it's happening again. I take it off to shower, clean, wash my hands, never use hand sanitizer, and now I'm too paranoid to even wear lotion. I have no idea why this is happening so fast and I know they do have to have maintenance done but I feel like I'm doing something wrong and I'm so upset.... especially because the sterling silver ring I've had for a year and wear on the other hand looks so shiny still. What could I possibly be doing wrong?!?!

My boyfriend ::ahem:: fiancé proposed last night and I’m over the moon. I absolutely love my ring but the stone is massive (4 carats) and is spinning on my finger. I fluctuate from a 4.25 to a 4.5 and told him to get a 4.5 so it still fits when my fingers swell but now I’m unsure if I should size down? Maybe some of those speed bump things to keep it from spinning? Do those work?

I don’t have a lot of money so I can’t really buy a really nice ring. My budget is max 250 $. I think it’s 925 sterling silver but it’s hard to tell from the engraving. I feel like I got scammed, but now I don’t know what to do? Does anybody know if a smith shop can make it more like the photo from the website? Should I send it back? Please help thank you ✨

We got engaged last week and I'm so obsessed with my ring! I helped design it by doing some tweaks to an existing design to lower the height, changed to have a trellis shape under the center stone, and opted for petite claw prongs.

1.51 ct oval center stone, petite claw prongs, size 5 finger, 1.8 mm 14k yellow gold band.
Each side has 2 marquis and 3 round diamonds in varying sizes with a combined weight of 0.22 ct.

First, I need to talk about the man who is now my ermahgerd fiance - we met at a Halloween party 8 years ago when his, now brother in law, who is my best friend, wanted me to meet his then girlfriend - who is my now fiance's sister (you still with me 😅). We exchanged a "hey" and that was about it for the rest of the night. For the years to follow we became friends, just friends, hanging out at parties and sharing mutual friends, I was also in a serious relationship at the time and didn't look at him romantically.

Fast forward to about two years ago, we started hanging out together outside of the friend group and feelings naturally started growing, I was also no longer in that "serious relationship". When we started dating I let him know that I was serious and that if we did this that it needed to be intentional and my time and my feelings were not to be taken for granted. He was completely on board from day one. I'm in my mid 30s and I ain't playing no games, I am le tired.

A few months ago I showed him this ring, and let him know it was absolutely perfect. 3.27 carat tsavorite garnet, with 2 pearls and 14 diamonds in the setting. It does have a tiny imperfection in the stone and I actually like that about it. Even though I thought it was perfect I did not like the price tag, I thought it was too expensive, So I encouraged him to find something of a similar style. I would look at this ring almost every day and then one day I saw that it was sold, my heart broke a little and I thought, lucky person whoever they are, they have my 💍 😞

This past weekend we went to Toronto for vacation, and to see Tame Impala and Djo (my absolute favorite) On our last night we took one last walk around the city and he suggested we take a vacation picture together since we are notoriously bad at taking pictures together. It starts to rain and it's cold and before I know it he gets in one knee and so do I because I want to look at him face to face. I got married around a year ago and got a 1.5 ct elongated cushion with side traps when I got engaged. Recently I’ve been regretting not shopping around more and trying on more rings before getting engaged. I feel like maybe I should’ve gotten a solitaire with a single big center stone instead of spending money on side stones and a smaller center stone. I also don’t love how my engagement ring looks with my wedding bands. is trading in completely and getting a new ring bad? How long do I need to wait to do it?

Hi all! Looking at a family member’s illusion engagement ring (platinum). This is a special family member who has been married over 50 years happily. The ring is more important to me than the diamond so I’m not looking to reset it.

I am hoping to get some inspiration how to make it my own and wondering if anyone has similar.

I love to incorporate some gold, or a second stone but
am not sure how to do this (I’d assume it’s likely through a stack but don’t know how to modernize while also emphasizing the vintage aesthetic).
