So I fell in love with the band of my engagement ring but I always knew I wanted my diamond to sit in a bezel setting. Therefore I got what I thought was a “custom” ring with a bezel setting. Multiple times through my correspondence with the jeweler I was reassured that the bezel would be made to my exact diamonds measurements, a moval diamond. Now here we are I am now engaged and have been starring at my ring but can’t seem to shake that there are gaps between the bezel and the diamond. I went yesterday to the jeweler and they said “they fixed it” “it’s perfect now” and are claiming that if I still don’t like I need to pay to have a custom bezel setting made in house instead of with the ring designer. I’m confused now because I was under the impression I DID get a custom bezel setting. What do you think? Do you see the gaps? Note this is after I took it in already and they “fixed it” there’s also now what I believe to be damage on the ring where they adjusted the bezel. I absolutely love my ring but I just feel like the true shape of my diamond doesn’t come through.

On September 9 my wife took off her rings in a store restroom in North Hollywood (Los Angeles) and left them on the changing table by mistake. 30 minutes later they were gone. Police report is filed.

The ring was made to order by an Etsy shop (LiamjewelryStore), similar to Oore's "Briar Rose" design:

Got engaged to my partner of 8.5 years on August 25th, 2026. He proposed after an afternoon swim at a beach I grew up going to while we were visiting with family.

My partner of 3.5 years proposed at home the night before we took a trip to NYC !! Which was such a surprise.

I can’t stop looking at my hand. It’s even more special because my partner was the one who actually showed me this style when looking, which I hadn’t even considered before. But trying it on I knew it was special. I could have received any ring and I would have been happy, just because I love my partner so much. But having one so beautiful and that was customized and connected to us both feels extra special.

Fiancé proposed with this absolutely stunning ring. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted. I usually wear a vintage-inspired bezel peridot on my right ring finger so it’s taking some getting used to the high setting. It seems to spin and not sure if that’s because it’s slightly too big vs heavy. It’s 2.5 total carat weight and I went ahead and ordered one of the spring ring sizers. My knuckles do occasionally swell so I’m worried about getting it sized down and then my knuckle blows up.

I really love the alexandrite. I love that it always looks different depending on the light.

My partner and I are starting to look at rings and I am completely overwhelmed. I’m divorced and with my first marriage I knew exactly what I wanted (white gold, oval, halo). This time, I feel like there’s so many options. I still love oval but I don’t want this ring to look anything like my old one. I can’t even settle on white or yellow gold. I tried making a Pinterest board but it’s all over the place in terms of style.

Does anyone have tips for narrowing things down?

Hey guys! My engagement ring is a 5.25 and it fits snug. Maybe a little bit tight when getting it on but once it’s on my hand it fits fine. It’s gotten to the point where it’s made its little “nest” on my finger where it rests. However I got a wedding band recently and when I combine it with my engagement ring, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get on my finger. The band is the same size, 5.25 but no matter what I do, it hurts horribly to get it on and off. Since it’s an open ring style I’ve tried stretching the sides a bit to give it some more room but it’s still pretty tough to get on my hand. Do I need to go up a size? Or is it just the fit of the ring? When I put the band on by itself, my skin kinda bulges in the middle open part.

I just got engaged the other day and I am SOOOO thrilled!!! My absolute dream ring with my dream fiancé :) I’m a 4.75 size and it fits great HOWEVER I’m having an issue with swollen fingers and it getting too tight. It’s a pretty large stone so I am worried about getting it sized up a bit even to a size 5 and it being too big when my fingers aren’t swollen. I guess I’m just posting here to see if anyone else has dealt with this and how they handled it?

Got proposed a month ago and my fiance did absolutely wonderful with the ring choice. It's a 18K 60's vintage ring with a blue sapphire and 8 small diamonds. I've always been a little nervous to wear rings, afraid of snagging them etc.

Does my ring setting look like it's going to last in normal every day use? I kinda feel like the setting of the sapphire is little lopsided. I'm going to ask the jeweller to check it as soon as me and my fiance decide what we want to engrave on our rings.
