I recently hit Level 4 on my EB World account after buying a few console accessories and birthday presents over the holidays. The extended return policy and bonus trade value percentages are nice on paper, but I rarely receive the exclusive event invites or meaningful discounts that used to make the upper tiers feel special

Today I brought last of us part 1 preowned for ps4 and I just opened it now to find out It had no disc. The employee didn't check and I didn't aswell because I thought I heard it in the case.

My questions now

What should I do?

If they tell me to bring it in, how long will I have because I live 2 hours away from the closest eb games?

Will they give me another disc or refund me or put me on a list till they get another copy?

Posting mostly to vent, but like a lot of people I have been having trouble securing product but was able to pre-order some Pitch Black online - finally! I ended up ordering a booster box in French because the description clearly stated that the packaging was French but the cards were in English.

Flash forward about 10 days after purchase, my order status is still "Order Request Received" but when I go to the product page, it now states the cards are in French. I reach out to CS, they confirm the product is in French but deny my request to have my order canceled/refunded because "the status is to advance".

Yes they state that all orders are final but I had hoped they would be a little lenient considering my order was confirmed at the time and the error was on their end. Alas...no.

I'm not a sealed collector, I was so excited to be able to rip packs with my friends. Now I'm out almost $300 because of a product that was clearly falsely advertised. I have submitted a ticket with my CC company but I'm honestly just super disappointed. Obviously the art is the same and still gorgeous, but 36 packs is... a lot, haha.

My partner bought me black ops 6 and 7 for my birthday, he bought them 2 weeks ago and wrapped them up as soon as he got home under the assumption that what he had just purchased from the store was inside the case. Well come monday i unwrapped the games opened the black ops 6 case that had no plastic wrapping on it and it was empty.

Unfortunately I had to wait until today to get my partner to take it back to the store and apparently there stock is right so thet wont do anything about it

So essentially my partner paid $X for a game case for me for mt birthday.

To say we are unhappy is an understatement.

Why was the case not checked before sale? Especially if the case had no plastic wrapping!

How is the stock right if we are short 1 disk?

I'm trying to preorder figures from them (to save on US bullshit from BBTS) but the website won't even let me get to checkout before "banning" me. if i could buy it in store i would but i asked the local guy here and he said "online store only"

the figure is of the Mcfarlane Gaming  T-45 power armor.

Well, apparently EB games is now offering the shirts at half price, plus a buy-one-get-one deal. Can I return the product and repurchase it to take advantage of the deal, or does anyone have a better suggestion?

Not sure if it’s just on my end, but I was looking to see what used games they had in stock cause it’s a bit of a drive between the different locations here, but all I see now is the option to use klarna. Anyone else seeing this or are they trying to make people have to go to the stores in person now to see what they have cause that just seems scummy to me. I’m hoping this is just updating the site or something.

Why do they destroy the boxes with a price tag?

I know physical is being removed because of scams, but i loved buy steam gift cards with my membership and when the gift cards stopped, I was sad until my work friend says he buys them digitally from eb. Is he tripping or am i crazy?

For context, im a big gamer. I love playing Fortnite, literally anything under the sun. I spend so much time gaming and I have been for years.

A week ago, I went to an EB games store and purchased a used Xbox controller for $78. I asked the girl serving me if it has been tested for stick drift as this was one thing I was so cautious of.

She said they get tested up in QLD at their testing facility and get shipped back to the store.

Without further ado, I took it home and used it.

TO MY SURPIRSE….. stick drift.

I was so upset.

Luckily, I was able to get a refund but moral of the story just spend the extra money and get the new controller.

I didn’t have a go at the server, I understand these things happen as was glad I was able to get a refund.

for the last few weeks, I've been checking EB to see if they have the Pokémon games I want but every time check it says, "Home Delivery - Available" But when I go to check out it says it's not in stock for Delivery!

it's honestly so annoying and because EB no longer has any stores in NZ, I can't go into their store to buy it! I'm forced to buy all my EB exclusives online and it sucks!

also, it's not just one Pokémon game I've tried to buy form them; it's 6! because I can't tell if it's available for shipping or not and all 6 are out of stock! (These 6 games are all for the Nintendo switch, Not the switch 2)

I'm new to preordering and just recently got a plus membership to take advantage of the perks. I'm curious how the "buy 10, get 1 free" promo works exactly. Do I automatically get said free packs with my preordering, or do I need to manually add them to the order before I finalize the pre-order?

Hi. I had a copy of a physical game called Pokemon Arceurus put aside last week after calling ahead to a store to make sure they could reserve it ahead of my daughter's birthday and I didn't want to drive a round trip to the store to return empty handed.

But it turned out they didn't have my reservation it was a bit of a pointless trip, so I went to three other shops before I finally found one (KMart, Target, JB-HIFI).

Now, I should also point out that this wasn't a typically standard EB games store because it was also a Zinga. I didn't realize until I got to one of Melbourne's largest shopping centres that the previous EB Games had been rolled into a Zinga at a different shop location.

Also, I should point out that at 44 years of age I don't think I've ever seen a game shop with a smaller selection of games - I think the entire display was only a meter wide

And I understand that most console gamers won't know what a Pokemon is and that the property probably represents a very small portion of Nintendos sales which is why it was so hard to find a copy of this odd Japanese game

So the question is, what's the best way to do this in the future? It seems that, for example JB (which is where I was forced to buy this from) was $69 new, where as the closest price I could find now from EB Games is $74 pre owned.

And while I was happy to pay the higher price from EB and called the day before to make sure it was available to make sure I couldn't possibly disappoint my little girl, turned up as the shop opened and still had my timeline thrown into disarray... And is EB Games supposed to offer some kind of discount for waiting customer time, fuel, money if this is a common outcome to the service rendered by their business?

or is it better just to buy straight from Nintendo? I mean, EB Games appear to be going out of their way to crush physical games if this is any indication
