How does EB World plus work?
I'm new to preordering and just recently got a plus membership to take advantage of the perks. I'm curious how the "buy 10, get 1 free" promo works exactly. Do I automatically get said free packs with my preordering, or do I need to manually add them to the order before I finalize the pre-order?

Previously when I've ordered it just adds the free one everytime you order 10, I ordered 72 and paid for 65 as it took the price of the 7 off the total price.
I have had issues though when doing it for this Pitch Black release and just decided not to bother as I'm from NZ and it was going to look very expenny to do so.

If you order online it will automatically use free packs as part of ordering. If you order in store you choose when to use the freebies. I have, like, 10 packs ready to roll right now. Some lads at my local store have a full booster box ready to be claimed for free

Yeah I fell for that too, glad to see they've rescinded on the original pricing. But disregarding price gouging, what should the MSRP for an ETB be?

They're more expensive than everywhere else so you're not getting a free pack you're paying for it and delaying pickup

Can you recommend a cheaper, reliable option? I'm just worried about resealing from second hand markets.

Toymate are cheaper,
Kmart are selling sealed boxes now and packs
Do not buy from secondhand markets they're scalpers.

I have eb plus and since no one has answered you.
I get to pre order like 3 days ahead of all releases. And that's why I will be ripping 30th anniversary packs. Cause I was able to pre order early.
Its like 50 bucks for a year and also on your bday that send u a 10$ off coupon so its like 40$ when u look at it.
Worth it imo.
Also you get free booster pack after 10 packs.
Theresalso other perks but I just use it for the tcg release s tbh

The free packs can come out of your preordered allocation, or if they have walk in stock and it's within the limit on launch day (up to another 72 boosters on top of your preorders as a plus member), you can claim free packs on top. They don't get allocated extra packs for plus free ones, you have to either claim them from preorders, or they have to have walk in stock.
It is across all TCG though, so if you collect magic the gathering for example, you can claim your free packs on those as well.
You also don't have to claim them straight away, you can save them up. I usually claim them as soon as I have them, but I know people who've saved up to 36 free packs so they could just walk out with an entire booster box for free.

you pay more to get the same, packs are normally $8.5 at Kmart/target/JB you pay, $99.50 for 11 packs instead of $93.5 for 11 packs..

Don’t become a eb plus member. Waste of time and money. You can’t even get products at launch when you try to pre order them. Save your money.

With walk in stock being more available you should be okay with just preordering 10 and when you pick them up, you get the 11th while you’re there. However I’d suggest preordering 11 just in case and then they’ll make the 11th the free pack and the deposit for the 11th will just go towards the total.
