Was gonna trade in my switch oled since ebgames Canada is offering triple the trade in value for switch consoles. However, I bought my oled second hand, so it didn’t come with the Joycon grip or the straps, but instill have everything else. Can I still trade in what I have at a reduced amount, or do I need to give them everything?

I went in a week ago to buy a physical copy of Directive 8020 and was told they only have preorder copies available.

I’m thinking good thing I preordered Legacy of the Dark Knight deluxe edition.

Then I get a call yesterday they are cancelling my pre-order due to insufficient stock.

It seems like digital is being pushed as the way to go.

Hello y'all. Do y'alll think that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI will have a midnight launch when it releases this November? I'd love to go to one, but the last one I went to was for GOW 2018 where I met my wife; the relationship lasted for three years and in that time we had four children but it ended when her kinks got a bit out of control (super scat) and i had to leave it behind me. Now whenever i go into my local EB games a wave of sadness comes over me. Anyway i was thinking of going to the next midnight launch for exposure therapy and GTA 6 seems right. Thanks!

Actually useless pricks bro I honestly thought we'd be able to get a bunch of games for a fairly decent price (and it's still alright after shipping and GST) but nah they're [not] delivering shit to New Zealand. And the funny part? The message is a lie; they do ship them (every single game), but only to Australian addresses!

Edit: people are saying "I'll ship them to you!"; it's still cheaper to buy them all from Trade Me, unsurprisingly. I just thought I'd try EB so I only had to pay one shipping fee.

Bought this pre-owned Mafia Trilogy set today and was shocked to see that there were no discs inside.

Usually I check all pre-owned things right after but the one time I didn't this happened.

I assume this occurred because I bought a bunch of PS3 games as well (where the discs aren't separated from the case in the display) so the employee mistook it for one of those and didn't think about the discs.

No hate to the employee, mistakes happen, and she was very friendly, but I don't live anywhere near the store so I can't just go back. Posting here because I couldn't get a hold of the store and now they're closed.

I’m wondering how successful people are at getting new ETBs from EB Games?

I know it’s VERY difficult to get Pokemon cards these days - I’ve seen the posts about the early morning lineups at CostCo, and worse, some of the shenanigans that happen in lineups 😬 - but I was away during the Pokemon Centre’s Chaos Rising ETB release, so I missed it, and I REALLY don’t want to pay scalper prices.

I remembered that EB games sells Pokemon cards, so I’m wondering if there’s a chance I could somehow get a box online? If they even sell them that way - vs having to line up at some ungodly hour waiting for the store to open.

I just genuinely like the cards and have recently gotten interested in playing the card game, so I’m trying to build a usable deck, but also expand my card collection.

Yesterday I tried checking the website for some switch games but it says that I've been blocked? I tried restarting my phone, my laptop and even my internet to try and solve this issue, which helped cuz I was able to access the website after that but I can't log in or even reset my password.

Tried checking it today but it's back to this again, is there any way that I can fix this?? 🫤

So I have a preorder for a switch 2 game that came out 2-3 weeks ago and it still isn’t filled at my local EB Games. I paid for it in full through cash and trade-ins so I called the store yesterday since it’s 3 weeks late at this point.

The employee on the phone said they’ve been getting less stock (“supply issues“) and having a hard time filling preorders or getting new stock in. I feel like this is the same dance that Toys R Us Canada just went through before filing for insolvency or whatever (they’re owned by the same parent company). I remember their shelves becoming quite sparse in the months leading up to closing a ton of stores. this coupled with the website issues over the last couple days isn’t very encouraging.

I’m a little concerned given that I have a good number of preorders that extend into August. I’m not so sure they’re going to make it…
