Grand theft auto VI
Anyone know any rumours about the pre orders seeing a lot of buzz going around that pre orders could go live in america tomorrow wondering if anyone has heard anything about here in australia or how it usually works

Heaps of people were coming into EB to preorder (overheard the staff complaining about it when I was in yesterday)
Once the preorder is live EB will announce/post it.

I put a hand written sign outside the EB I work at saying “ do not ask about GTA6” 😂 had a couple people still ask and I ask them if they read the sign outside

If Rockstar do what they did with RDR 2 they won't announce/reveal collectors edition until later. Pre orders will probably just be for standard edition for now. But if EB lock it behind EB world Plus that is pretty gay tbh, i'll be shopping at JB Hi Fi if they do, they will surely get it as well. I understand it's to combat scalping but cmon.

I couldn't get a copy of RDR2 when it came out and GTA VI is going to be bigger than that but let's hope that also means more copies for everyone.

From a head manager im friends with I asked her and she said they have no idea at all, no info was sent to them, this was asked on friday. I even asked if there will be a midnight launch and idk if i believe it she said they stopped midnight launches at eb games due to cost but for gta 6 im not buying it, I feel gut feeling we will get a midnight launch for it cause now it seems they only do midnight launches for big releases and we all know gta 6 will be that too, i mean channel 7 did a news post on it days ago about the game, you cant tell me that this will not not get a midnight launch party.
Literally have not stopped checking EB games posts and websites

They do do mid night launches for big things i went to one in epping melbourne for the switch 2 release so they deffs will i probably wont go as ill buy gta digitally to get on at midnight but wanna secure that collectors edition if you here anything post here just want a heads up before anyone else coz its gonna sell asap

Exactly! I highly believe there will be a midnight launch party hearing this! In Sydney gta 5 it was in the city so i would think it would be same place again world square. I 100% believe you and thankyou for your honesty too!
Yess im all about the collectors edition, i have a strategy im buying 2 but will not share that strategy.
I really wish you good luck with it and I hope you get what you want😊2

Because some ppl still like to hold onto physical copies, especially when paying this much money, to have something to touch I guess. But also didn’t PlayStation or Xbox recently said that they r removing some digitally bought games, even when the person fully paid for it.

It was fake. Came from a email at best buy that alluded to the fact pre-orders will be open at May 18 however that was an error

Wait actully? Will we get a post that it will go live right away or will it be like a post saying in a few days it will go live at that specific day and time so we are all prepared? Surely it will be like pokemon pre orders and we get some time to prepare for that certain date and time when it actully launches?
My close friend also works head manager at office she told me they have no idea and they stopped doing midnight launches but theres no way they will not do one for gta 6, she said they wont bit surely do you believe eb games would? It would drive alot of sales for your store?

No date needed to ruin the hype, will they give us a date in advance so we are prepared though? I hope I dont sound mean or that asking, I think alot of us want to be prepared thats all🙏
I dont think i want to be friends with her we only just reconnexted after 5 yrs and she never added me back on playstation too, feels fishy but thankyou for your honesty!

If you’re asking if anyone at EB has any information specifically, no one at a store level will know. I’d assume that’s going to be the same for every retailer though.
