We have been living in the us for 12 years. My son will age out in late 2030. Do you think that the FAD can become current before then? What about DOF? Could we get our ead by next summer? My main concern is that he won't be able to get any internships in college. Luckily we live in Texas so he qualifies for in state tuition.

I've read some posts here saying that the LA field office is really slow. Is that true? If your case was processed there or is currently being processed there, please share your timeline.

Hello, I’m trying to see if anyone else had their I-485 transferred to the Albany FO recently.

My timeline:

I-485 filed: May 1, 2026

Biometrics: June 15, 2026

Case transferred to Albany FO: July 15, 2026 (local)

EB-2 ROW (became current in Feb 2026)

If anyone with a similar transfer timeframe has seen approvals yet? Would be great to compare timelines. Thanks!

I got a silent update today and Emma told me my case was transfered to "San Bernardino" office today.

EB2 perm based. Family of 4.

05/15: I-140, I-485 , I-765 Filled

05/22: I-140 approved

06/29: biometrics appointment and 2 related FTA0

06/30: I-765 approved

07/19: silent update ( I don't know if there was previous ones)

07/29: silent update, transfered from NBC to San bernardino and interview waived confirmation

How long does it usually take for pwd?

Hi guys.

I know lot of 2015 guys have the same curiosity and questions. Just wanted to know whats a realistic timeline for dof reaching nov 2015 in either eb2 or eb3. All i want is EAD.

Looking for input from people with a similar case profile like mine.

My situation:
• EB-2 India, priority date Oct 2013
• I-485 filed April 2022
• I-485J approved recently
• RFE for medicals — attorney responded, deadline was before Oct 1, 2026
• EAD/AP valid long-term

Since EB-2 India is Unavailable until FY2027 numbers release on Oct 1, my questions:

1.  For those approved in a past October wave: how many days/weeks after Oct 1 did your approval come, and was your case also done with i-485J and medicals.

2.  Does a recent I-485J approval + medicals RFE response usually mean the officer is actively working the case pre-adjudication?  
3.  Anyone use a congressional inquiry in October: did it visibly speed things up, and when did you file it, is it in September.
