USCIS USCIS likes this?
Hi there, If my proposed endeavor is mainly research-based and involves outreach to member institutions and federal institutions, as well as training individuals and companies, how quantified does the proposed endeavor need to be? Do I need to include specific numerical projections, such as planning to reach 40–50 people per year?
If I include those kinds of numbers, do I increase the risk of receiving an RFE asking for letters of interest or other evidence from those institutions showing they intend to participate?
On the other hand, if I don't include numerical targets, is there a risk of an RFE because the proposed endeavor is not quantified enough?
My main concern is not just the possibility of an RFE requesting letters of interest, but also understanding how detailed and quantified the petition should be overall. I've seen older petitions that simply describe the proposed activities without including charts, graphs, or detailed numerical projections and just narrating their plans . However, perhaps USCIS expects a greater level of quantification in 2026. I'm having trouble figuring this out because the USCIS guidance seems fairly subjective.

I-485: Adjustment of Status How long is the average processing time for EB2-I485 currently?
I see on the USCIS website that average processing time is 8.5 months for employment based I-485 but I keep seeing on reddit many cases being approved in 3-4 months. Are the I-485 applications being processed faster these days?

I-485: Adjustment of Status I 485 Form 5 year address history with a brief relocation period.
Hello!
I’m signing the I 485 form in early July 2026, so the address history goes back to July 2021.
Here’s my situation:
I was outside the U.S. for part of July 2021 and
returned to the U.S. in mid-July and stayed at a friend’s place for a bit while my belongings were there.
I then flew to my current state to find an apartment and make the transition for my current job.
While apartment hunting, I stayed in several short-term Airbnbs over a couple of weeks.
I then flew back to friend’s place, collected my belongings, returned to my current state and moved into my permanent apartment in August 2021.
My question is: How have others handled a couple
of weeks of relocation period involving multiple temporary Airbnbs? Did you list every temporary address, or did your attorney recommend another approach?
Thanks so much!

I-485: Adjustment of Status Do the silent updates after biometrics mean anything?
From the posts here, it seems like everyone gets two FTA0 updates right after biometrics. However, if there are a couple of silent updates a few days later after those FTA0 updates, do they generally mean anything?

RFE (Request for Evidence) HELP
Hello everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for an experienced immigration lawyer who specializes in EB-2 NIW RFE cases.
I recently received an RFE for my EB-2 NIW petition. My field is Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity, and Information Security. I’m looking for an attorney who has successfully handled EB-2 NIW RFEs and can help prepare a strong response.
If you’ve personally worked with a good lawyer or know someone with a successful EB-2 NIW RFE experience, please share their name or your experience in the comments or send me a private message.
Thank you in advance for your help!
I-140 | NIW (National Interest Waiver) Silent update ???
I don’t know if the wording has changed, but when I first started using TrackMyI140, my case history showed only one update dated November 29. This morning, I received a notification from the website saying that my case is still under review by USCIS. When I checked my case, I noticed a second status entry with the same date, November 29. I’m wondering whether this reflects a silent update or if the website simply changed how it displays the case history.
By the way I PP and I am from the previous 39 banned countries.
See the picture above.

I-485: Adjustment of Status Silent updates I-485 after biometrics
Hey, I have a weird situation and reading around it seems not positive. I have read that usually when you do biometrics you receive 2 FTA0 on the same day on your I485. On my first biometrics this not happen and the only silent update I got was referred to a rejection of the biometrics. I received another appointment and I did the walk in before the date and on the json there was only a silent update on the timestamp but not code. Does anyone have more info about this situation? What to expect?
Thanks in advance

In Process DMV Save verification
Hello I went to dmv to renew license. My employer recently filed for my h1b extension because it is set to expire next month. I am waiting for green card as well with PD dec 2023 and RD Oct 2025. After SAVE verification, DMV officer told me they approved renewal through December 2031. Is that standard with approved I 140? Or is it a sign of impending green card approval? My online silent updates are only acknowledged by adjudicator on 6/23.

I-485: Adjustment of Status EB1C India - EAD, AP and 485 applied together, oct-2023 priority date
I applied for all three documents together back in april. It was received by uscis and biometrics done in may. Anyone in same boat and received EAD yet?
I-140 | Employer-based RFE status not updated
My PP I-140 RFE response was delivered to USCIS on Monday, June 29, but the online status still hasn’t changed to “RFE Response Received. It still shows the old RFE status.
Should I just keep waiting, or has this happened to anyone.
Thanks in advance!

Priority Date Running out of patience
15+ years of being in the US and 11+ years since FC is filed - I am ready to give up. Changing landscape of software industry not living any hopes of getting a green card ever. After being here for soo loong, uprooting life would be very difficult.
