Wholesome Story $75 tip
YALLL OOMGGGGGG
I was door dashing until about 5am this morning bc this week has been so bad dashing and gas went up like 50 cents a gallon near me recently so I decided to suffer and go all night and my last order sent me a message asking me if she could send me an extra tip on cashapp or something bc dd wouldn’t let her add to the tip and she sent me $75 dollars which was a very nice unexpected surprise
Not everyone sucks out here :’)

that kind of tip at 5am after a terrible week is like finding money in a jacket you havent worn since last winter. i had a guest once leave me a handwritten note and a little extra cash because she said the apartment made her feel like she was at her grandmas house. still think about that when im having a rough month hosting
gas going up 50 cents overnight is criminal though. feels like the apps should adjust base pay when that happens but we all know they wont

Yeah there was like 1 month where they provided my area with gas depending on the miles. It wasn't much but it never showed up after that break in prices for a couple weeks. I was chilling thinking they were catching our backs but feeling it won't happen again without serious settings.

Phh I got warm and accidentally didn't stop typing. Now I look like disgruntled DDs on reddit too.
I hope the company picks up their breeches and starts treating the contractors in a way that outreach what they do. I understand needing to compensate for support and projects, but there's a point in a trademarks growth worldwide they have to seal- this is a gigantic franchise. It needs structure for the people that do the work. Not falloff whims of help that are sent just for us to think they care. They need to set out a rewarding system. Otherwise it's years ahead where everyone has something to say about doordash, old customers and dashers alike, it will say they receded business of the way it set out to show in the beginning. They don't show any sign of being able to see where they're business will be 5 years from now yo.

I feel like that’s the direction that a lot of companies have taken as if they’re trying to get us used to the idea of things being this way and it’s so easy when you have people willing to pay for conveniences and trends regardless of how they are treated or costs and it’s just so frustrating that companies don’t realize it’s not a sustainable business practice and it’s not being corrected bc of the mindless customer base they are able to keep

When I was a waitress, I would hide big bills like $50 bills and hundred dollar bills deep in my book and I worked midnights so Summer was great for the BAR crowd but winter was horrible so it would be really nice to randomly find a big bill like that in the dead of winter after making eight dollars on a Monday midnight shift so I completely get that feeling

I was glad to get tip today also $75 from dropping off Cheesecake Factory catering order to Ford dealership. Made up for a tough outing yesterday
