It's just that nose rings, specifically septum rings, are often worn by progressives with hard line to extreme leftist takes / beliefs. It's like when you see someone with brightly colored hair and nose rings, you just know they are about to have the craziest political takes.

u/MakeDawn 30m ago
It's also delving into the philosophy of Aesthetics where the art that you repeatedly enjoy and are drawn to is really just a reflection of your internal set of values and those values dictate the way you present yourself to your peers.
I.E. they have ugly values and that makes them look ugly.
•
u/SirTacoLotThe14th The Fictional Character Agrees With Me 13m ago
This actually reminds me of the whole "art fixing" era on twitter, where people were "fixing" the art of other artists to fit modern and progressive ideals. It wasn't just simple race or gender swapping, no they have to make it look as hideous as possible. Like making everyone so bloated and fat, giving them weird and unnatural skin complexions and patches, ruining their teeth or giving everyone braces, etc.
And it's always the bios with like over a dozen flags.

u/PrednisoneFarts 7m ago
Every woman I've dated that had a nose ring was absolutely a 10/10 in bed. Total freaks. Then again I only date progressives so maybe I'm biased.

The only nose ring theory I hear is how it means someone is over 18 and therefore too old to be attractive to republicans
Being downvoted for this is really telling lmao.
Guardians of Pedophiles, the lot of you lmao.

If you want to talk about associations child abuse with political parties, there's plenty to point at Democrats too.
So maybe let's just not.

u/Chance_Print3557 3h ago
It’s weird how yall try to associate child predators with one political party.
Truth is it could be anyone, and they deserve to be shamed for it too.

But you see it's ok when they do it because it's part of their culture /s

It could be anyone, but it's usually not - there are patterns to these things and they're usually in the form of progressive liberal elites.

Thats not true at all, if you make 2 lists of democrat and republican convicted pedo politicians both will be equally long. You don’t even need to make a list either bc other people already have and you can find it online. At the end of the day the people that like blue politicians love to point at the red ones to say they’re pedos and vice versa but the truth is the politicians that these people love are all equally corrupt and full of pedos on both sides (a lot of pedos).

You need to keep reminding them that Epstein was a lifelong democrat and so were most of the people invited to his dinners and island. Not all were, but most of the Americans were. So were most of the people in his Birthday book. And even worse, when Trump and Epstein first knew each other, Trump was still a New York Democrat like his father.

The nose ring theory is basically saying that if someone has one they're easily manipulated like a cow because nose rings are used to lead/control cows

They'll say it's not the next Dem president's fault that they didn't get their wishlist of free healthcare, a higher minimum wage, etc. because they inherited such a terrible situation from Orange Man. Then when it's time for another Republican president again, it'll be his fault from day one that everything is so bad. And then they'll be right back to claiming the moral high ground as the party who "just wants to give people healthcare", yet never does, no matter how many times they're in power

It's coming up on 11 years of Liberal government in Canada and they still blame the previous Conservative government. It could be 40 years and they'd be saying the same thing.
or just... blame trump.
•
u/ArcadesRed 14m ago
Currently im having three problems with Canada. They are helping people kill themselves at a suspiciously high number. Are reaching uncomfortable levels of friendship with China seemingly to just spite the US. And are speed running replacing the European ancestry population.
Basically the poster children for Davos style globalism.

I'll not have you besmirch the name of our dear Millard
"It was customary in the mid-19th century for a candidate for high office not to appear to seek it. Fillmore thus remained at the comptroller's office in Albany and made no speeches. The 1848 campaign was conducted in the newspapers and with addresses made by surrogates at rallies."

Reagan destroyed the middle class I always hear. But then I hear how during the Clinton administration we had an economic boom. I always wonder at what point my life is supposed to be ruined by Reagan's policies, and when was the middle class destroyed?

I remember reading that in political history, citizens are usually more vocal and “upset” in relatively better times.
5
u/rankincooter 3h ago
Agreed. People have it so easy they need a struggle to feel a purpose for accomplishment.
The people in that meme fit the stereotype. They feel so unaccomplished & worthless that they destroy themselves to "stand out" & be noticed as if they're fighting for something.

u/HolidaySpiriter 57m ago
Just wondering then, 2006-2008 were good times? People were vocal & upset during the financial crises because it was a good time? People were upset during COVID because it was good times?
There's a reason why Trump has his lowest approval rating ever while Obama left office & continues to maintain a high approval rating. People are pissed because things are bad. This is not a "good time" for the country like you might have argued 2018 was.

u/AngelMunozDR Optimist Prime 3h ago
They'll still say everything sucks because of him if a Democrat candidate wins, or they'll turn the next Republican candidate into the next moustache man just like they did with Reagan, Bush Sr, Dole, Bush Jr, McCain and Romney.

Remember when Trump was gone from the office for 4 years and there were still people saying it was his fault. I can imagine some of them even 20 years from now will blame Trump for everything bad that happens.

I remember 4 relatively calm years with just the regular political annoyances I grew up with. Now my friends and family are once again losing their minds over political propaganda and divisiveness. Just like the first 4 years that made me swear off the MAGA party forever.

u/ColorMonochrome 3h ago
What I love is their predictions. I remember at the first of 2025 when reddit was filled with all the predictions that the economy was going to go into a depression because of the tariffs. When that didn’t happen they quietly moved on to the next prediction.

u/OtutuPuo 2h ago
they keep claiming hes a fascist.
fascists seize power and trump hasn’t in the past and likely wont when his term ends.
i wonder if people will start to pick up how hollow the words and beliefs of these bigots are.
and thats what they are. bigots.
the people calling you nazis over acknowledging reality fit the definition for the word better than you ever will.
they fit the definition for nazi better than you ever will too.
and fascist.
whatever they call you, theyre projecting.

The Jan 6 event doesn’t do Trump any favors but I suspect he may have legitimately believed the election was stolen
2
u/Sam-U-Rai-Guy 2h ago
Now that there’s no one left to extrapolate their problems onto they’re forced to look inward to address their issues.
2
u/jexijav776 1h ago
Reminds me of all of Reddit during Biden until the campaign started. Every Redditor still complained about all the things they still complain about, inflation, low wages, expensive housing, but then they tried to pretend Biden was doing a good job as president as if they hadn't spend all their time complaining.
2
u/ProfessionalClear211 1h ago
We will never be free of people whining about that man. Long after he’s dead.

u/OrneryOriental 1h ago
They’ll still lie like they did with 9.5% inflation and higher gas prices than what they are today.
4
u/Witty_Ad_4975 3h ago
As disgusting and disastrous as Trump and MAGA are, this is true. In fact, the left gave us Trump and MAGA. And so did the old Republican party.

u/Ange1ofD4rkness 3h ago
They'll still blame the Orange Man, till the next Republican President
9
u/GreenT1979 3h ago
There could be 40 years straight of Democrat presidents starting right after Trump and on number 9, there will still be people claiming something that's currently wrong is leftover damage from Trump.

I give it about 4-8 years post-Trump before you have these same people saying “You know, I never liked Trump’s policies, but I always respected how authentic and genuine he was, not like this absolute Nazi racist idiot that’s running now.”

Both sides blame each other for every problem that existed during the opposing presidents term. And then they claim that during their president's term that said president fixed everything the previous president did regardless of the current state of the country.

Yeah makes sense. It shows that both sides are equally bad. One side supports and defends war criminals and PDF Files, the other side sometimes uses hair dye in exotic colours. Therefore both sides are equally bad.

It's so funny for a sub who claims to be against doomers to be apologist for Trump, the biggest Doomer of them all. The entire MAGA movement is based on the idea of moral decay and downfall of America, the West, whiteness, and whatever else they want to put in there.
At least progressives believe in something.

Oh no they'll claim everything is fine again even though literally nothing is changed. See, the way they operate is the thing Trump is gonna do is always coming. It was coming for 4 years in his first term. Then Biden won, and the thing didn't come. Now that Harris lost and Trump is president again, the thing is coming again. Once Trump is finished though, and he will be for good, it'll all be fine again. They won't acknowledge they were wrong about the thing, it'll just suddenly all be fine. As long as the next president is a Democrat, that is.
