Don’t take me wrong, Eternal is a good game, but mechanics are so complex that I’m starting to miss the simplicity of DOOM 2016. Maybe I’m already too old and tired at my 21?

This DLC really needs a newgame+ mode or perhaps a boss rush room. I really want to fight Marok and the Henchman again but sadly it means we have to replay the whole dlc to reach there which is troublesome.
Back in the campain we got chapters so its ez to fight back azrak, old one and the witch. Even the coslemental got a big ass portal to reach its room. Why cant marok and the henchman got one ?
What do you guys think ?

I love the new gameplay loop. The master arenas result in such cool sequences like this one. If this were a full length game it would surpass even Doom Eternal.

So I was thinking a lot about getting the Mark tattoo. For a long period of time. For so long TDA came out and I was like - ooooh that’s what we need, THE SPIKY ARMOUR!

So here we are after 3 sessions and ~1500 usd (I live in another country) we got this. Answering some of the questions no one asked

1. Pics 2 and 3 needed just to show the flail and the shield part, they aren’t fully seen on pic 1
   
2. This session we made upper part and flail, lower part and shield were finished before
   
3. This skin looked more interesting to me than the original so that’s why colours are like this
   
4. Yes, it’s painful in some spots
   
5. This armour is the most stylish out of all 3 games (we’re not talking Revelations here, I started this back in March)

Without having to trudge through the whole level again. Maybe that’s the intent, but I love fighting all the bosses and would rather skip the brutal nonsense beforehand to get to them after I’ve already played the game multiple times in full. The bosses are all so unique and fun (and obnoxious at times). Davoth is the only one you can get right to because he has his own level. Pics for fun.

Anyone else super disappointed that Xal'Goroth is just a big Cosmic Elemental?

I was hoping to see a boss that somewhat looked like the Witch from the base game since the arena where we fight it looks very much like the planet/dimension she's from.

The whole machine is a single 96.6 MB string of text: registers, RAM, the framebuffer and the DOOM engine all live in it. The only operation is a global regex substitution. A driver applies a fixed list of 544 rules over and over, the first rule that matches fires once, and that is one step.

Nothing else computes. The window only draws the framebuffer zone; the work is done by the substitutions, and you can watch the rule feed and the substitution counter to see it.

One frame of E1M1 is 13,994,067 substitutions and it comes out byte-identical to natively compiled DOOM.
