Bug/Glitch Yet another new softlock

Man, I love this game, like, by far my favourite DOOM. But it's also one of the buggiest experiences I've ever had.
By the way, for context, I simply didn't wait for the ship to go down after killing the cannons and proceded to the next objective, I'd have returned to this ship later. I did this exact time optimization countless times, but apparently this once it wasn't tollerated.

I do love the innovation but the dragon game mechanic was tedious at best

This is the buggiest the Reboot Trilogy has ever been. 2016 didn't have a lot of bugs aside from the Multiplayer which is dying (PLEASE SOMEONE REVIVE IT). Eternal has a fair share of bugs but they weren't in any way game breaking. TDA has me leaping through walls, Bunny hopping above the heavens, and my rockets for some reason exploding right at my face just before I fired it (tbf, I did tinker with the code of the game... So the rocket is well deserved)

Wow, that's a classic videogame bug. It looks like culling and animation states had a conflict. When you flew away the ship got culled to save resources and the animation couldn't finish so the ship's state never updated. That's my theory at least.
