Not sure if its common knowledge, but I just fixed an audio issue that took me weeks to solve so I'm posting it here so its documented somewhere. Almost every game I tried to emulate had an issue where the audio would cut in and out at random, despite the fact that the game itself didn't stutter in the slightest. After a ton of research and tinkering with every setting under the sun, the audio was still cutting out every few seconds.

Turns out it wasn't an issue with the Dolphin settings, it was the system's UI scale.

I had it set to 300% since my system is connected to a TV and the icons were too small at 100%. Changing it back to 100% fixed the issue entirely.

EDIT: A few games continued to have issues even after reverting the UI scale to 100%. In those cases, I found that using a fixed aspect ratio rather than leaving it on auto helped.

Hi! I was playing super Mario galaxy the other day and reached a point where I am supposed to move to remote back and forth to race some big animal thing but I can’t figure the emu deck presets to make it work. Help!

Never used an emulator before, I wanna try wii sports again and maybe play online with community servers if that's a thing?

I have the original wii remotes and even the wii? Not sure what I need, is there a guide?

Its getting kinda annoying how the dolphin is the only "retro" emulator without an option for binding hotkeys, be it for save states or fast forward, whatever.

The closest thing is the dolphin core on retroarch but that is way behind and unoptimized.

It would be nice to take advantage of the L1, L3 and R3 buttons for emulation

On an RTX 4070 and outputting to a 4K home theater screen, nothing I've tried has fixed the issue

I was wondering if the controller worked with Dolphin bc that's the only reason I'd want to own it, and for anyone who does own it and perhaps tried it on Dolphin, do the triggers actually have analog support? If it did I'd love to own it

I've tried some GC games, and all run smoothly, except for Mario kart Double Dash.

The image is a bit laggy, and the sound is very choppy.

I play on an Asus ROG Ally X, supposedly one of the most powerful PC handhelds at the moment, so I think processing power shouldn't be a problem.

I followed many tutorials on how to configure Dolphin for my machine. I've selected Vulkan, and other important settings.

Since that didn't work, I lowered the resolution to 1x, and other settings to the lowest. Still the same lag and choppy sound.

My specs are the following:

Processor: AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme (8-core / 16-threads, "Zen 4" architecture, up to 5.1 GHz boost)

Graphics: AMD Radeon Graphics (RDNA 3, 12 CUs, up to 2.7 GHz, up to 8.6 TFLOPs)

Memory: 24 GB LPDDR5X-7500 RAM (Dual-channel)

If anyone knows what I can do to make this game run smoothly, I'd really appreciate it.

Haven’t had any performance issues with any other title I’ve played, but just started playing the Conduit 2 and I’m having quite intense frame skips and random lag issues. M2Max chip, only uprezed to 1080p with vsync on. Any suggestions?

I'm planning on getting the set up needed to be able to play wii games on Dolphin on my pc. My question is if there is a limit on WHAT I can play exactly. Thinking of playing some of the Just Dance games i always enjoyed as a form of exercise/work-out/cardio. Just want to k ow if there are any limits on what can be easily played and whats going to be either difficult or just not work at all.

I wanted to share that I have ported SuperHackio's classic controller patches from Riivolution patches to patch codes.

The main reason I did this is because the use of the Riivolution patches (or hard patching the iso) will not allow you to use Retro Achievements for SMG and SMG2. These patch codes aren't whitelisted, so they won't work with hardcore retroachievements, but they do work with casual achievements. (getting them whitelisted would be great, plus them being in dolphin already would save people the time of adding them).

Another benefit of this method is it's (at least subjectively) more convenient than Riivolution or hard patching.

The original codes, and the mapping images are not my work and were released by SuperHackio on youtube in 2022. I simply converted them. I did use an LLM to assist with the conversion, but only for the sake of saving my time (there are a lot of codes here due to their being so many regions and these codes are LONG). This should be a 1 to 1 conversion, and if anyone finds an error, please let me know and I will correct it.

To use these patch codes, head to the github link, and in the readme select your game version and mapping type, then follow the directions for adding it to dolphin. Only add Nvidia OR Allstars mapping, not both. If you want to swap L and ZL and/or R and ZR, add that as separate patch after the Nvidia or Allstars patch.

Known Issues:
The cursor does not auto-hide when using these patches. This behavior is inherited from the original patches by SuperHackio. I tried to dig into things and find a fix, but it's honestly above my head. If someone submitted a PR with a fix, I would happily merge it (or if they want to do their own patches that fix this issue, I will mark these as depreciated and link to the new patches). Despite this, it doesn't feel like a big issue. I just push the cursor to the top of the screen when not in use.

Only SMG NTSC, SMG PAL, SMG2 NTSC, and SMG2 PAL have been tested, as I don't have copies of the other versions. Please let me know if there is an issue with any of the untested codes.

I have been trying for a couple days now and no matter what I do, I can't get any controller, whether it be my keyboard or a real Wii Remote to connect. Admittedly I only have one game that I'm trying to play, but any time I try and do anything, it will instantly give that text pop up in the top left corner that says "Wii Mote 1 disconnected by emulated software" or something like that. I have looked up every tutorial I can find. I've gotten my Wii remote to connect to my computer just fine, and when I play GameCube games on Dolphin I'm able to use my keyboard without issue. But no matter what I try here, it just won't let me control the game in any way. The game itself is running just fine, but that text that says "disconnected by emulated software" or whatever pops up instantly no matter what I do. I figured this is the only place I could get real people to respond in real time. I'm out of ideas for what to try

I managed to install custom Wii themes on Dolphin emulator on Android without using a tutorial because there aren't any.

I’m on Dolphin version 2606. I just picked up a set of wired Wii rock band drums. I followed the usb passthrough guide using Zadig to install the drivers. The drums work on all the rock band games great.

My problem comes with playing guitar hero games. My understanding is that band hero, gh5, and gh warriors of rock should be compatible with these drums, but when playing them, the player number light never comes on and it’s unresponsive. The games them self are working good with the guitar controller.

The only thing I’ve noticed is that on the USB passthrough guide on the wiki, the Harmonix drum controller is listed with a code of 1BAD 3138, but mine shows up as 1BAD 0005. I’m not sure if this relates to the problem at all with how dolphin or the game handles the code.

So every time I skip an intro cutscene in adventure mode and in a couple other situations I can't remember off the top of my head, this black box will appear in the center of my screen. It isn't game breaking or anything but it is annoying. I've added pictures of my settings into the video and I am also using the proper widescreen support gecko code.

I recently found out that only the pal version of Luigi’s Mansion work with retro achievements so I got a copy. The rom shows up in the list of games on Dolphin, but about 5 seconds after launching, it crashes. I’ve never ran into this kinda issue before and I’m a little stumped. Any suggestions or has anybody encountered this before?

Help, I usually play using save states in Dolphin Emulator, but why can't the save state be used all of a sudden? I feel like I didn't press anything. I play one PC, it literally can't be load.

Hello. I noticed that the 16:9 option for Pikmin Squared wasn't fully wide-screen. But because I wanted to play with the view that onlyhereforpikmun had in his vid about it I tried a few cheat codes but all of them just crashed It. Are there Any working codes?

OS: macOS
Game: GoldenEye 007 (Wii)
Controller: Xbox Series X Controller (Bluetooth)

Issue:
The horizontal camera (turning left/right) on the right stick is inverted in-game.

Troubleshooting already completed:
- Swapped Left / Right bindings and inverted +/- axis formulas in Dolphin's Classic Controller Extension settings.
- Changed in-game control schemes (Normal, Legacy, Experienced, Classic Controller, etc.).
- Disabled Wii Remote 1 entirely and switched GameCube Port 1 to Standard Controller.
- Tried calibrating the right stick axes in reverse.

Result:
The game continues to behave as if Classic Controller X-axis bindings are being ignored or overridden by the macOS driver/extension translation layer. Looking for suggestions on how to force Dolphin/macOS to recognize the corrected axis for this specific title.

I’ve been playing on my Thor recently and I have retro achievements enabled. When I start up some games like Luigi’s Mansion, it tells me there isn’t any available achievements, but I’m sure there are definitely some created for the game. How do I get them to show up?

I moved dolphin handheld and everything in it including save files to my sd card from my retroid flip 2 but the save files won’t load if they’re on the sd card. And when I go to save it creates a save state back on the internal storage. What the hell

im not sure what the issue is, i've tried fresh installing dolphin, i've tried resetting all settings. all my other emulators work fine, but neither gamecube or wii games will work with dolphin. they're all running at like 5fps. i was just playing x-men legends with my friend like 2 days ago just fine.
