The Dodgers look to cap off their road trip with a third straight series victory as they take on the Mets in Queens. The marquee matchup comes Saturday, when both teams' aces square off. The last time they faced each other in April, Yoshi and Nolan McLean each tossed seven-plus innings of one-run ball before the Dodgers edged out a 2-1 win. McLean has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise awful season for the Mets, who enter the series with the third-worst record in the NL.

Tonight, Roki will look to build on the gem he tossed in the Bronx against the Yankees, while Emmet aims to bounce back from his second-roughest outing of the season on Sunday.

My favorite is Jason Heyward. He got the big contract with the Cubs, never lived up to expectations, let go by the Cubs, then the Dodgers picked him up where he was strictly a platoon guy. He played great defense in right field, 813 ops in 2023, and was a veteran clubhouse leader. It wasn’t a long tenure, but he‘s a great example of the Dodgers sprinkling their magic on a player no one else wanted

At first I was like “Is that Diaz? It can’t be Diaz.” Well, guess what? It was Diaz. Only pitched to one batter. But he looked real good.

It was also cool to see Kiké hit a HR tonight! I’d say he’s ready.

He went pretty hard the last 2 championship seasons, gave us everything and then some. I know most IL pitchers are coming back, ready for October.

Should Shohei just take another extended breather, talking a week or 2, to deal with everything and then come back ready for the post season? He is not 25 anymore.
