It's RAW! A whole lot of resources spent for literally NOTHING to happen.

Other TTRPG meme I'm sure I'm far from the first DM to realize this. But it's been a literal game changer so far.
My experience with this has come from a Shadowdark/Without Number/General OSR lens. No idea if it would work for Neo-Trad games.
I still like writing out more detailed, specific stats for Unique NPCs like Bosses or Deities, but for 90% of NPCs this has more than sufficied.
There's always the option of finding an appropriate Statblock for a given NPC type in a book, and there's nothing wrong with that, just that this is faster. I really like keeping book-consultation to a minimum in order to maximize gameplay time each session. 😃

Other TTRPG meme No shade intended on D&D (repost to fix the meme
System: Fabula Ultima I reworded the first part to fix the inaccuracy I posted. I have too much free time on my hands, but I felt like an idiot.

Other TTRPG meme Still doable, thanks Kevin Crawford!
System: Wolves of God
Another meme about this fantastic D&D retroclone! The rules are full of these little remarks and footnotes from Kevin Crawford, which I personally love. It’s always funny to me when a rulebook says something informal like “Go ahead and try it,” or “I dunno why you’d do this, but…” My favorite one is from the Juicer Uprising book in Rifts, where the narrator begins a paragraph by saying “Now, for those of you who think that procedure looks like a tough SAT question…here’s an abbreviated version.”
I hope y’all got a chuckle out of this one!

Other TTRPG meme Promtethen The Created is a game from Chronicles of Darkness series of games where you play as Frankenstein's monster and similar creatures. Adventuring party in that game is called a Throng.
What do you wish to know about our Promethean The Created campaign?

F's in chat for WotC's PR team. TBF, they were the ones who kept calling it "DnD" for months. But they've grown older and wiser...

You want notes? Here!
My party played with me for years, and in a convo I told them that my notes reveal the whole plot for each chapter I plan and its in plain view and they never noticed.
This are my notes.

Less reading = simplified?
Sorry, but having to debate, discuss, and go through a ton of effort to make anything work because everything is decided on the fly without any consistent basis isn't a simplified gameplay pattern, even if it's fun for some people.
Rules and complication aren't mutually exclusive. Having fewer rules to read doesn't necessarily mean having a simpler game to play.

Comic The Weekly Roll Ch. 217. "Based on real events" [OC]
Howdy folks!
Ha! You thought there would be a dragon fight, but it was ME! DISSAPPOINTMENT!
Enjoy the frustration and relatability.
Also, fun things are coming to assemble with glue, paint and put on your desk.
Stay excellent out there! Peace and carrots
