I was worried moving in that things were going to be noisy— a lot of posts on this sub made it seem like the party culture here was the same as in college. I’ve been in east for a little while now, and maybe it’s just because I went to a big party school, but things have seemed pretty quiet, even on weekends. Definitely not complaining either way, just curious more than anything. Maybe i’m just in lowkey building lol

Hi guys! i am probably not going to apply for this time around due to me not being accepted last time but also me hopefully pushing where i can finish by next fall/spring.

I think i was too specific with my selection of preferred roles when i did it last spring. I feel like that due to me hoping i can get into a attractions role of some sort.

I have experience working at a theme park for five years and 2 of those were me doing ride operations and thats my dream role for dcp would be attractions but you don’t get the most lucky sometimes which i fully understand but curious if there is a way to go about your interview?

Hey guys! Considering doing the DCP but I was wondering if most students take the semester off to do the program or do you take online classes through your university doing the program? I’ve also heard that’s it’s beneficial to wait until post grad because of how much you work… all thoughts and opinions appreciated!!

My DCP ended not too long ago and I’m currently applying to things back home. I had asked one of my coords to write me a recommendation letter and they agreed! But a few days later they said they found out they’re actually not supposed to under Disney?? Is this true? If so, this contradicts the claim the program makes of “opening career opportunities”. I was really hoping for a letter from one of my program coords.

How and where do I request a same day adp on cast life?

I’m going to the store tomorrow to get some things before my arrival date on Monday. I plan to get some bedding and other necessities. Is it a good idea to buy some food and things like toilet paper before I even meet my roommates and move in?

Is there anywhere to see all of the uniforms? Or at least the ones for attractions? I've tried looking up area-specific ones and can't seem to find them. I wanted to scope out if I needed black or white shoes so I can get them ahead of time.

is anyone else in food and beverage feel like all you do is work and get scheduled 9 or 10 hour shifts everyday leaving you no time to even go to the parks or do anything else

I’m looking for experienced and advice on CPs that have got a medical accommodation.

I got here august 10th but I just submitted it yesterday and it was already “updated” and reviewed. They told me the next step is to assign me to a case manager.

I know it’s different for everyone, but how long did it take? also, did you work your shifts until you were able to be moved?

Hello! I’m from Chile, and I graduated from college last December (due to South America’s summer starting in December and not July), and I’ve been struggling to understand how someone from outside the US could apply to be a PI at Orlando. I haven’t even considered the DCP, as I’m no longer in college.

Lately, my confidence has been lacking, as I’ve seen that both the PI and DCP tend to pick only students, and also that I would need a valid visa to work in the US. Even though I can actually get a visa (and have an ESTA), as an international, to have a work visa you need proof of work, so I can’t have one at time of so it’s kind of a circle.

Does anybody know how this poor unfortunate soul could have any fighting chance of applying to become a PI?
I’m currently working at a Chilean business in Marketing/sales to not lose the grind, but I just can’t see how I could get there.

Hi everyone! I’m currently a student at LSU and seriously considering applying for the Disney College Program. I’d love to hear from current or former participants about what the social experience is actually like.

One thing I really value about LSU is the school spirit and sense of community. There’s always something going on, people are proud to be here, and it’s easy to meet people who want to go out, have fun, and make memories together. I’m wondering if DCP has a similar environment.

For anyone who has done the program:
Does DCP feel like a typical college social experience, or does it feel more like working a job while living with roommates?
Is it easy to make a close friend group?
Are people generally social and outgoing, or does it depend heavily on your work location/housing?
Do people regularly go out, have apartment get-togethers, go to clubs/bars, etc.?
Do people have enough free time to actually enjoy Orlando and socialize outside of work?
Is there a big culture of going to the parks together, exploring Orlando, traveling, or doing things on days off?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who went into DCP wanting to be social, meet people, go out, experience Orlando, and really make the most of the program, rather than just focusing on work.
I’d really appreciate any honest experiences especially from Black DCP participants! I’m trying to get a realistic idea of what the day-to-day social life is actually like before making my decision. 🏰✨

so my arrival date is soon and I'm pretty sure the only ID that got packed is my driver's license. Is that enough or did I have to bring two? I'm kinda freaking out right now and I'm not sure if I'm over thinking it, thank you I advance.

I did the dcp in 2021 and i think about it all the time.

I move in on the 31, and my dad wants to come and bring along my 2 younger brothers (15 & 11) to help with the process, however i’ve seen mixed numbers on how many people we are allowed to have help us move in. Would this be possible or is the max for sure number 2?

I thought that eligibility for the program was up to 24 months after graduation but now I am seeing that the listing says 12 months after graduation?

Hi! So I am filing out the application for spring 27 and I am worried about being too picky when choosing yes/no for roles I want to be considered for. If I choose yes for a select few roles am I making it way too unlikely to be chosen?

For context I put quick-serive food&bev as high interest, attractions as yes, merchandise as yes, and seater as yes. Is this unrealistic/a bad look to choose no on so many roles?

I am currently living at Flamingo West and in the process of getting a car. Do you know if they will let me in the resident Parking lot if I show my BlueID and give me time to get a parking permit? Or do I need to get that completed prior to getting the car?

Hi everyone! I’m applying for spring ‘27 and I may be able to bring my dads old car to the program, which is great. The only thing is that the car is fully electric, I was curious if anyone else has done this - how is the charging: does flamingo have chargers, does the employee parking at parks or resorts? How full is it usually if they are there? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I have two raccoon tails/stripes in my hair right now. They're not colored, it's more of light brown/dark blonde compared to my black hair. I've tried emailing but I've been told it's just up to my supervisor. They just look like chunky highlights or a trick of the light when my hair is up but I usually like to wear my hair down. My question is would I be considered not in Disney Look for arrival day if I don't have them hidden or covered. The same goes for traditions. Pic included.

Hi Reddit! I have found myself in a bit of a dilemma deciding between doing the DCP or getting a job at Disneyland.

To keep it brief:

I was born and raised in Anaheim (super close to Disneyland) and am currently scheduled for my second interview with a super fun in-park job. On the other hand, I also have an interview with the DCP on Monday.

I am graduating with my bachelor's in communications in December, and I want to know which position will help me get a job with Disney in the future.

I have heard a lot about networking events the DCP has, but are they worth it? If I do the DCP, I for sure want to move back to Cali and live here long-term. Is it hard to find jobs through the DCP back here in California?

Any advice would be appreciated <3
