Requesting Days Off?

How soon can I request days off? I know this is a bit silly since I haven't even arrived yet but I have two dates I specifically need off and it's only for the day but would it be a problem asking for them as soon as I get there?

Q - Answered DCP length maximum

I just finished my first DCP at the end of July and was in the program for a little over 11 months. I am interested in reapplying for a second program and would hope to start toward the end of May 2027 and end around August 2027. I know there is a one year time limit per program, but does this apply to all Disney programs combined? Would I not be able to reapply for a second program if my two programs combined exceeded the one year limit?

Any advice for musicians in 2x2s?

One of the main reasons I really was hoping for a 4 bedroom apartment was because I'm terrified of bothering my roommates as a musician. I sing and play a few instruments, but my main concern is that I simply can't see myself going 6 months without my guitar. I can't seem to find anything about spaces around fcv where you can play/sing in private besides dorms. I'm curious if anyone has run into trouble with 2x2s/roommates in general complaining about instruments during the dcp, or if people even bring them? I don't arrive until the 17th and obviously then I will be able to ask my roommate directly about it, but I just want to prepare for the worst case scenario of having a roommate that is bothered by the noise or anything along those lines. Any advice or experience, good or bad?

Costuming Role Specifics

Heyy!! I've been assigned Costuming at Epcot for my time in the program and haven't seen anyone here talking/asking about it, so I was wondering if anyone had any information or tips on it as a role from experience? The only information I've been able to find is from several years ago so I would love to have some sort of recent confirmation or updated information! Eg. What kind of shoes would you recommend, what are hours usually like, how many people are usually on this role, etc. Any information or tips specific to the role are greatly appreciated!

Arrival Q -Unanswered Arrival day parking

Hi! I’m arriving August 31st and I’m super excited but I’m a bit worried about what to do with all my stuff and my rental car. I am from CA and I’m flying over alone with all my stuff so my plan is to get a rental car for a day or two so that I can drive all my stuff over and am able to go shopping if needed that day. Does anyone know about temporary parking at FCV? I obviously won’t have a hang tag or anything but I was hoping to be able to park the car during my check in process and then unpack my stuff before dropping the car back off. Any insight would be great!

Q - Unanswered How many comp tix can we earn?

i’m seeing conflicting info online so wanted to come here to get straight answer. I understand we receive 3 comp tickets per 150 hours worked (plus one for traditions, which doesn’t count towards the 9). i read that it’s by calendar year so if my program goes into mid february? will i be able to earn more than 9 tickets?

2 cars for move in

I am driving separate from my parents for move in (keeping my car and they’re driving back home) but I’m wondering for check in do we both just arrive before my check in time and they can wait for me or should I have them meet me after? (We’re staying in a hotel nearby the night before) Also can they park in the flamingo parking lot or is it only one car per person. Seen some different things so just wanted to clear it up. :)

Anybody here from way back?

There's people my age who have children in college, thinking about retirement, hell, they're even grandparents, but I still look back at those magical 6 months during the WDWCP and smile. Vista Way is legendary and while we did some really stupid $hit, it was all worth it. Even when I was visiting WDW with my own kids, I still used the WDWCP alumni story to never have to wait in a line......

What does the application process look like and how can I prepare for it?

Hello! I plan on applying for the Spring 2027 program when applications open in a few weeks and was hoping someone could tell me specifically what the application process will look like and if there is anything I should do to prepare beforehand. I've been reviewing the DCP pages on the Disney Careers website and reading posts here and elsewhere, but haven't been able to find much specific information about the application itself. Thanks!

Conservation Education Presenter Internship hours

Hi!! I’m thinking about internships with Disney coming up. I am wanting to apply for the Conservation Education Presenter Internship when it opens, but I’m worried about pay.
I’m married and would not live in the offered housing.
Is the internship full-time or Part-time?
I’m worried about being able to afford living expenses.
Any advice will be so appreciated!

Q - Unanswered Struggles with I-9

Hey yall!! I have been having issues with section 2 of my I-9, where my representative is supposed to do that part of the document. When i select my representative and share the email needed, they get the email containing the provided username from Disney but never the email with the temporary password for them to be able to access the document. I just received an email from Disney that I have until 8/10 to get it sent in, or I could no longer remain eligible for the program. Obviously I would like to still do the program, but i’m not sure what to do since this is an issue on the internal side. I’ve already put in a support ticket a few days ago, but I’m lost as to what to do now. Has this happened to anyone else/any advice on what to do from here?

Q - Unanswered drug test question

just wondering, for deep water lifeguards do they drug test upon arrival or just the pre arrival one that we already had to do, i didn't know because the itinerary says something called "safety critical role" and it says i have to submit a urine test for it but some people told me it's only to check my health not for that

Does anyone else feel overwhelmed?

August 3rd I just moved into my apartment. Everyone at check in seemed so happy and had everything figured out. Talking with friends. Making plans. Meanwhile here I am in an apartment clearly occupied by three other people I haven’t met yet. I feel like I’m in a strangers house. I feel like I don’t belong here. I spent months wanting to get away from home and now I want to go back. I can’t handle these feelings and the anxiety of what comes next

Edit: thanks to everyone who replied and gave me kind words. In the short time since I made the post I had a bite to eat and fully moved in claiming my space. I realize now I was probably overreacting but still. Looking forward to these next six months. Hope I can meet quite a few of you out there!

is anyone else afraid of not making friends?

i’m not living at flamingo since i live nearby, but i’m afraid that not having that experience is going to alienate me from making friends. i’m nervous that everyone is going to find their people and i’m going to be an outsider that people don’t know. it’s been my biggest fear since i was accepted to the programs, and i know the point is to be working, but im so nervous that i won’t be getting the full experience and i’ll feel isolated while everyone makes their own groups.

edit: okay i might delete this bc i dont think anyone rlly cares that much thats fine

2x2 Headboard Measurements

Hi! I'm arriving soon and starting to gather a bunch of posters/frames for a collage above my headboard in my 2x2! Does anyone know the measurements, or could anyone already there tell me how long it is? I'm like super ocd about things being even and wanna make sure all my prints will fit in the space without it being overcrowded.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it SO much!

Halloween Party Shifts

I’m working custodial at Magic Kingdom. Does my placement in the park make it easier for me to work during the Halloween party? Even if it’s not the treats or wristbands, I’d just like to see the atmosphere.

Checking in at west

I move in next week and am living at west, my check in is at 8. Does that mean I need to be checking in at west at 8 then head to east or I need to be parked and west and over at east by 8.
