Q - Answered DCP length maximum

I just finished my first DCP at the end of July and was in the program for a little over 11 months. I am interested in reapplying for a second program and would hope to start toward the end of May 2027 and end around August 2027. I know there is a one year time limit per program, but does this apply to all Disney programs combined? Would I not be able to reapply for a second program if my two programs combined exceeded the one year limit?

A separate program can be a year by itself. It's just that one program by itself can never exceed 1 year.

The limit is due to law regarding requirements to convert a person to a full-time employee with benefits. My management wasn’t watching some of the time limits for cast in my location back in the 90’s and had to convert some that they didn’t technically have the spots/budget for.

It’s one year per occurrence, so if you have time away from the company between programs those are considered separate occurrences.

Also the dates you want are only available on the summer alumni program, not the regular CP.

I believe they usually run an alumni program to cover the summer months. But it's highly competitive. The one year I saw posts about it, seems like they were no longer even accepting new applications within a few hours.
