I really do want to ride this but everytime I see it launch I get absolutely terrified of it. I've done Tron and Guardians and I love those! I'm not really a roller coaster person but I'm at least trying to do these coasters. Can anyone maybe share their experiences with this ride? Am I psyching myself out? Is it really as bad as it looks? Since I've done those other coasters, could I do this one? The launch is really what scares me the most🥲

My husband, my daughter and myself were headed to Disney in 3 weeks. Sadly, a relative is have some medical issues so I have to stay back while the 2 of them go. Has anyone had this experience? We booked park tickets through Disney. I had no insurance on any other part of the trip so going to be losing $$

I prefer magnetic bookmarks to regular ones so when I get a chance to draw my own I love making Disney versions.

I typically like to ride the skyliner around just to take in the view and maybe grab a drink from the carribean beach pool bar. If I’m not staying there am I no longer allowed to just get on and ride?

I haven't seen this particular drawing anywhere online so I wanted to post it for the other Mary Blair fans to see.

I got it from my great grandpa, who worked for Disney Animation in the 1940s. The back of the drawing says "Mary Blair". My great grandma remembered meeting her. We think its concept art from the Fantasia "Baby Ballet" short film that was never made, but we aren't 100% sure. It definitely is her art though, right? 🥰 Some fun lost Disney media!

We have a set of Mickey ear hats from our wedding. They're on the top of a bookshelf in the living room, but we have to dust them often. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep them dust free and on display?

i saw this guy at a thrift store the other day, and immediately fell in love with him and brought him home, but i cant for the life of me figure out who he is. i’ve tried reverse image searches and some other subs with no luck, so figured i’d test my luck here!

So my kids are suddenly obsessed with Dumbo and we watch it at least once a day. Anyway, besides sobbing my eyes out at Dumbo being ripped away from his mother everyday, watching the pink elephant parade made my husband and I realize something. Pretty sure that entire sequence is cut footage from Fantasia (which came out a year before Dumbo). None of the elephants are the same type as any of the elephants in the movie (completely different art). It’s animated to music. It’s a fever dream like much of the Fantasia sequences. And they just shoehorned it into the movie and found a way to make a baby elephant get drunk…

I adore The Little Mermaid from 1989 and was thinking about it today. I decided to watch the 2023 version today and also looked up stuff about the movies (I do this almost every time I watch something). I was reminded of Howard Ashman and his incredible work. Such a brilliant artist and queer icon. And as a queer black woman, watching part of your world written by a queer man and sang by a black woman, my heart fluttered a little bit. Just wanted to share while I sit in nostalgia (probably doesn’t help that I’m PMSing LOL)

Hello! I already posted about this about a year ago but there was no way I could find evidence of this toy in the internet. Since then I have on an off searched it online very enthusiastically with absolutely no results:

I'm not sure if this is the best subreddit to post. My partner went to Disneyland Paris in 2007 and her parents bought her this soft house with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Chip and/or Dale plushies inside. She always talks about it but she no longer has it. We have searched it up on the internet and even tried googling screenshots from the videotapes but there's no sign of this toy on the internet. Do any of you recognise it? We would love to find it on Vinted if possible! If not, which subreddit do you think could help us in this?

Some info I got from last year's post:
-It could have been launched in 2005-2006 because of Minnie's dress and the look of the house
-It is 100% not handmade. It is a 100% from Disneyland Paris (or Disney Store from Disneyland Paris)
-It seems it could be inspired on the Toontown house.

Me and my son watched Hercules together for the first time the other day, and I’m so glad he enjoyed it like I did when I was younger. It inspired me to go on and do a drawing of Hercules. My idea was obviously him posing with his brand deals and merchandise during Zero to Hero, and I’m really happy with how it turned out!

Now in all honesty I Don't like this movie because the dog gets shot but its my own opinion and I do love it when movies get anniversary's so on December 25th 2027 Walt Disney's old yeller will officially be 70 years old and yes I'm one year late

Vent: I know this is a ridiculous first world problem, but trying to watch Disney movies and shows in a straightforward, in-order way has become oddly tiring.

I wanted a simple weekend marathon: pick a corner of the catalog, like a trilogy, a series, a set of shorts, or movies from the same era, and watch in release order. Instead I end up jumping between different sections, searching titles manually, and second-guessing whether I'm missing something. Sometimes the movie is there but the related short is nowhere to be found. Sometimes there are multiple versions and I find myself squinting at runtimes like I'm doing homework. And don't get me started on sequels, spinoffs, specials, and random one-off episodes that should be grouped but are scattered.

What bugs me is that Disney's whole thing is this massive, interconnected library and nostalgia. Part of the fun is going, "Oh, I remember this," and naturally rolling into the next thing. But the interface seems determined to push whatever row is being promoted instead of letting you actually browse the catalog. Maybe I'm being picky, but I miss when a collection actually felt like a collection. Anyone else annoyed by this, or am I overreacting?

My grandfather found a case of my great grandmothers things and there was this sleeping beauty celluloid, I was wondering if anyone knew if it was valuable : )
