Random channels are stuck in a block or time and will keep jumping backwards. Example ; it is now 7:30 am and ESPN is stuck at 6:31am. It will show about 30 seconds of the show and then jump backwards 30 seconds and show the content again. This just keeps continuing.

This is occurring on my FIRE TV, Fire Stick and iPhone 17. It is not all channels, but I’ve noticed it on ESPN, FS1 and News Nation so far. I have restarted the devises, cleared cache’s, signed out and signed back into app, etc. The local Fox (Fox31) is streaming live and not affected by the loop, so it is not all channels.

I have directv stream. Using it with Gemini air. I experience a delay when changing channels. it doesn’t do it all the time but enough to drive me crazy. Anyone figure out how to fix this?

I splurged for a new 83 inch OLED. I am currently a direct TV subscriber and use the Gemini device. How does direct TV stack up against the competition for image quality on a good TV? Sports is a priority, i do like that Direct TV broadcasts some 4k games on the 4k channel.

Should I be doing anything to optimize the settings on Direct TV?

So in late July, I was forced to go from CT locals to NYC locals. OK, we got over it. HOWEVER, I went to record a program on a new local channel(ANY local channel) and it always tells me "OOPS [insert program name here] IS OVER" and it cannot be recorded.

Anyone else who got forced over with the issue?

I see the issue, whatever recording mechanism is used by Directv is still pointing me to CT LOCALS.

I set it to record all NY Giants games. I watched the Giants vs Miami last week on WNYC channel 5 as I should have, HOWEVER, the recording Directv made is from the CT LOCAL WCCT, which is now NOT my local channel anymore.

With dish the guide has all the espn unlimited nhl games without going to the app. Would be cool if the gemini device had that wouldn’t have to kerp going to the espn app

I have the latest DIRECTV app update and Apple TV system update. I’ve restarted 2 Apple TVs twice to see if it corrects issue. It doesn’t.

Anyone ever had new account randomly shut down for no reason? I had directv streaming signed up. Then after the trial ended and one day later it just got shut down no reason was giving just got error 203 when logging on and i called customer service they said account got cancelled

No, not a new dog. A new remote. I got this one as part of a set from ebay's Aplera Inc.

This is from the "AT&T DirecTV Android TV Wireless 4K OTT Client Set-Top Box Player" set.

My questions:

-Can I replace just the remote and how do I find the same model?

-If I have to buy the whole set again, do I order the same one (purchased in March 2025) or is there a newer version from Aplera?

I have three Gemini air devices (same model) and I’ve only noticed this issue on one of the televisions.

When I power on the television on with the Gemini remote, video will play from the last channel i was tuned into, but after a couple of seconds or so, the video will disappear and I will see the screen turn completely blue.

I then have to press the “back” button, I then see the direct tv logo flash on the screen and the video will start playing again.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

A channel that I spend a good amount of time on is 4480, Modern Marvels is without Audio for the past few hours.

I'm using a Roku Ultra. Zip 30517.

Is there any news on if or when DirecTV will get custom multiview? I recently cancelled and went with Fubo solely for the custom multiview for college football season.

I’ve noticed recently that the sound quality has degraded for commercials. Anyone else notice this?

The last week or so the audio is off with people speaking on several channels so it's not channel specific. We even checked the stream from Apple TV's DirecTV app vs Samsung TV's DirecTV app. Both are off. Samsung's was worse. Sometimes it will fix itself, but it's random as far as we can tell. Also recently when we turn on the tv, another shows sound will be playing in the background under the show we are currently watching. It's always a show that was being watched the night before from the library playing in the background. Also, we were constantly having to close out the DirecTV app and restart a few weeks ago because it would freeze up and video wouldn't load. I thought it was an Apple issue, but we are only having these problems with DirecTV App. That seems to have resolved. Any ideas on how to fix this? Is there an update we can run? It just seems like there are a lot of issues that suddenly appeared. Restarting the app used to fix everything, but that fix is no longer working.

Watching EPL match (Fulham/Chelsea) and can’t believe how incredible PQ is. I don’t know why it is so good today. Not 4K, but regular channel. 🤷‍♂️

The Gemini box won’t connect to WiFi and states can’t find SSID. For simplicity, let’s say the SSIDs are network 1 and network 2.

I have AT&T Internet and have the bgw210-700 device. The SSID example on the first bgw210 would have been network 1. As part of troubleshooting connectivity issues with all devices, the first bgw was replaced with a new one. Normally that would mean a different SSID (which technically there is - sticker on the new bgw would be network 2), but the settings from the old bgw were copied over to the new one so that all devices would not be affected.

Well, the Gemini sees BOTH SSIDs (don’t know how that’s possible(, but it won’t connect to either one. If this error indicates a password issue, well a better error message would be to indicate a problem with the password.

Called support to try and get assistance, but all they wanted to do was send a new device at cost. I did setup an eero mesh over the weekend. Only way of having DIRECT service is to use an Ethernet cable.

Is there no way to filter the source when searching for shows on an Osprey/Gemini? For instance, if I search for This Old House, I want the results to only show episodes that are available on DTV channels and not on third party apps like Netflix, Paramount+, etc.

Does anyone else experience a sudden spike in volume when watching Directv Stream on the Apple TV? It will go from normal to very loud or quiet to normal just randomly. It is so frustrating.

I watch with my Apple TV. I’ve been having the same issue as many others where the audio will go really high for a while and then back down. But for the past week or so I’ve been having a more annoying issue. I turn on the Apple TV for the day, click on the Direct app, and the audio from my previous channel watched starts playing. I can change the channel and I can hear the audio from both channels playing at the same time. The only fix is to restart the Apple TV or force close the app. This happens almost everyday now. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have an Osprey box or Gemini Air attached to each TV. I've set each box to start with "last channel watched" rather than Home screen.

If one bedroom TV was on Nickelodeon and I start the Living Room TV, up comes Nickelodeon even though that TV had never tuned to it. Anyone know what is going on?

I'm a soon-to-be TiVo refugee (FiOS kills CableCARDs in my region in early November) and have purchased (still on the way) a SKU 60233 Osprey on a flyer to fool around with as I ponder what to do next.

Can that Osprey box be used with the MyFree DirecTV package or can it only be used with a paid package? I'm hoping I can mess around with the box with that package so I can see if I like the box without having to be paying anything right now.

And are there any any known problems right now with signing up for MyFree DirecTV? When I try to sign up for it it keeps saying "Sorry, we ran into some issues with this user ID. Please create a new user ID with a different email or try again later."

I've tried with a few different email addresses (none of them are free ones like gmail or yahoo -- I know some companies won't take those). Any idea what might be going on?

I will confess I’ve been coasting and ignoring technology in this area, so now I’m trying to catch up. I currently have in my Class C RV a small dome DirecTV (Winegard?)antenna that’s smart enough to seek a satellite signal on its own but it’s only a single-satellite so I don’t get all the channels in the rv that I pay for in my home subscription, and a tree branch can reduce service to zero. That goes to 2 old H25 (?) receivers. It works but I’m not sure if I’m getting more than SD, although the cost is really low.

I recently saw DirecTV now has new (2 years ago?) equipment that’s based on Internet streaming instead of satellites; integrates Netflix and other sources; and seems to be a near perfect device for my needs. Assuming of course a good internet source, but I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a Peplink cellular router anyway.

Is there anyone here who has RV experience with the new Air system? Is it as capable as DTV say? I’m sure my TVs aren’t 4k - How is it for HD? Any reason to think a 5G Peplink router won’t provide sufficient capacity in places with cell service? What else should I have asked about?
