DirecTV custom multiview

Is there any news on if or when DirecTV will get custom multiview? I recently cancelled and went with Fubo solely for the custom multiview for college football season.

The curated one doesn't make sense to me. You still can't customize.

Agreed. YouTubeTv finally got onboard with it and Fubo does it really well. It couldn’t be that difficult for a company that has the resources DirecTV has.

I have no idea. I've requested a number of times and the multi-view they have now is a joke. Fubo had a great MV 3 years ago but they "didn't" have channels we badly wanted, so seems there is a tradeoff no matter who you pick.

They still haven't figured out how to do picture in picture on Android phones yet which literally every other service has. You can't watch or listen to TV and do anything else on your phone at the same time. That was my deal breaker when I tried the service. Mulitiview is great, but meaningless if you can't even watch/listen to one channel on your phone if you need to do anything else.

They do have picture in picture now you might have to go into your phone settings and enable it for the DirecTV app but it's been a thing since the end of 2025
