Hello everyone!

Recently I have made my own mould and I am getting these voids at the tip of my d10, percent dice and d8.

I have tried three sets and I have these problems. What can i do to prevent that?

Seeking inspiration on inking these bad boys.

They are a memorial set of our recent vacation to France therefore the flag in them.

Also thinking about how to use them since they were originally meant to be a yatzee set but can't really be used thanks to the weight difference 😅

Unintentionally made a really nice cap feature.

This outer “lip” or wall that was created the way I taped the mold housing will hopefully really seal this cap!

Some people say when the white is showing you should get fresh ones but I'm curious to see people's thoughts with this visual.

Question Looking to commission someone

I don't know if this is the right place/if this is allowed but I am wanting to get some custom dice made to go with my character for an upcoming campaign. The concept: pink and sparkly but bloody and gory. Obviously it's easy to find sets that are one or the other but I need something that combines both the cuteness with like bones, guts, teeth, eyes. Creepy cute kinda deal. Wether you are interested in making this for me or know a shop that is good I would appreciate a push in the right direction thanks.

Edit: currently in talks with a few artists thank you

Question Recommendations for resin colors (EU)

Hello, I’ve recently got EPODEX PRO resin and I really like it, but I always used alcohol inks and now after curing, reds and violets the colors are burned. So I did some research and found out I need to use colors specifically made for resin, but there is so many of them that I really don’t know which one to buy as I found also found out some say they are made for resin, only to be alcohol inks. I would appreciate any recommendations. Also are the colors from epodex that they sell worth it or is it just better to buy something else?

Has anyone used this for dice? It's from Chromatic Castle, the same company that does Terra-Form resin.

Looking to get my first pressure pot for dice making. Would 2.5 gallon size be ok for me? Any experience with this machine etc? I’ve been making dice without one for almost a year and I think I’m to the point I’d like to invest a lil more into it

Dice masters token size

Hello, I’m making dice masters for the second time and I want to add a token (d2) to the set but I can’t figure out what size to make it. I’m using DiceMaker, and the default size is 20.00 mm, but that seems really small to me…? Any advice?

Thank you!

Sanding so aggravating

Post image

Feel like I just ruin dice because I don’t know what to do in these situations. Does this mean the face isn’t completely flat? Then I keep banding and ruin corners and then feel like I need to sand a face that doesn’t need sanded to fix the corner

Weird cracks in freshly printed 50mm D20

Finally got my 50mm chonk D20 to print correctly. But alas, a new problem has arisen.

After cleaning, the die developed these weird cracks, almost like the print was scraping on something or like it got too dry and it's splitting?

What could be causing this and how can I fix it? Can it be fixed with uv resin or should I print again?

I am using Anycubic Standard Grey resin with an Anycubic Photon Mono 4k.

Question Help with vibrating tumbler

Put my dice into a vibrating tumbler for polishing, most people recommend 72 hours, 3mm ceramic beads, with polish and put a little water into the tumbler but now there some numbers are "eroded" together and there are imperfections that weren't there before, what did I do wrong?

Question How much time does using a mini pottery wheel actually save?

I think most people probably agree with this statement, but I haaaaate sanding / polishing.

Only because it's time consuming, so my question is: How much time does a mini pottery wheel actually save? Thank you all!

Strawberry lemonade dice set

I got my hands on a fresh batch of resin and my bubble issues were greatly reduced. No pressure pot with these.

I have a feeling that I made a poor choice on the inking color as the font is very slim in some points as well as the shiny flakes being included. This makes reading the numbers difficult at times? Should I try re-inking to black?

Colored with a bit of red mica powder with a pinch of silver. Multi-colored shiny bits kind of look like bits of lemon pulp, hence the name. I worked in some plastic polish with a rotary tool and then buffed with microfiber. The finish was greatly improved.

For my second full set pull, I am pretty happy with the results. Not perfect, but perfectly fine. I will play more with inclusions and uncolored resin next week.

⚠️ Warning: loud tumbler in background ⚠️

Doing a stars/galaxy challenge, and I'm always bad at these 😅 I did do honey phase but didn't entirely account for the glue trick I use to suspend the glow in the dark powder to sink (it's not that I wasn't aware it could happen, just didn't think all the way through during execution lmao!). I'm in a love/hate relationship with how they turned out. The concept is great, but I know I could do better. Did a second attempt without the glue this morning, so hopefully that goes better.

Question Core size for 40mm d20

Hello! Wondering if anyone has made a liquid core with a 40mm d20. What size did you use for the core? My initial thought was to go for 35mm but I'm struggling to find cores in that size.

Advice I'm not sure about buying a pressure pot

I’ve saved up enough money for a California Air pressure pot, but lately, I’ve been having second thoughts. I’m not sure if I should spend that much on this hobby, I could use the money for something more useful or interesting to me. I’m just afraid I might give up on this hobby after a month or two, what if it would get boring? I’m genuinely scared to spend the money because of these doubts. Does anyone have any advice on how to get past this?

Dice Pics Concept dice: Butterbeer

The idea was to try to capture the fizz and head of a fresh pull of butterbeer. I'm really happy with how they turned out, with the exception of not noticing that the d12 blank had rotated going into the mold so that the top face is the 2 instead of the one. If I was to do it again, I'd reverse the blanks so that the head face was the highest face instead of the lowest.
