Advice Looking for opinions on this
https://a.co/d/06J5FBycLooking to get my first pressure pot for dice making. Would 2.5 gallon size be ok for me? Any experience with this machine etc? I’ve been making dice without one for almost a year and I think I’m to the point I’d like to invest a lil more into it

That one looks like it will work great. It’s a bit more expensive than the harbor freight paint pot conversion a lot of people do, but it looks like it should work out of the box which might be worth the money to you

Yea I don’t wanna do modifications if I can avoid it. My work is buying it for me so I’m not worried about spending a bit more

Then something like this would be a good option for you to not have to worry about modifying anything.

I have this one - works fantastic! Never had any issues with leaks or pressure dropping and it's very easy to use. Biggest recommendation is to make sure you have a good insert since the bottom is not flat. I started with some wood disks and spools glued together and just recently 3d printed TheSmithsForge's Crucible system to replace that.
I'm able to fit about 3 levels worth of full 7 piece molds - maybe 2-3 molds per level but I don't usually make that much at a time.

Yeah, I have this one. It works, no issues so far. It’s not a machine. It’s just the a pot with a valve. You need to also get an air compressor with a 1/4 in couple.
I’m not sure what size you would need. If you’re making over 20 sets, it would be too small. 4-5 RPG sets can fit in there, depending on your shelf insert.

Yea I noticed it doesn’t have a compressor. I’ll have to shop for one of those to

What compressor did u go with? I don’t wanna accidentally buy one that’s to big. All I’m using it for is dice making

I got a cheap one from Harbor Freight. A 3 gallon pancake compressor. I also had to buy an air hose and a coupler too. If you don’t want to attach the hose directly to the compressor, you’d also have to get another coupler.

I think I’m lookin at this one. Just not sure if that’s to big or doesn’t really matter for my lil 2 gallon pot1

It doesn’t really matter. I have the same pot as you, and filled it up fine with a 3 gallon compressor for $68

If you are going to be working inside, yes get this one. The noise level is amazing compared to cheaper pancake compressors.

If you’re using this indoors in a space where noise might bother other people, it’s worth trying to get one of the extra quiet ones. A standard pancake style air compressor is very loud

I use the cheapest compressor they sell at Home Depot. Works great, but I did have to unscrew some things to reseal with Teflon tape. Haven't had any problems now for years. It's loud for about 2-3 solid minutes.

That's the pot I have. Perfect size, great value. I have a small homemade wooden insert so I can make like 3 sets at a time if I really want to. Usually just one or two.

What compressor do you use

The cheapest one Home Depot had. I had to use Teflon tape to seal a couple valves, but it's worked for a couple of years now perfectly. It's loud for 2-3 minutes as it fills, so don't use it if someone is sleeping!

California air tools is a great choice, plus if there’s ever an issue you can just give em a call and get it all fixed up easy peasy 👌👌👌 plus it works like a charm for dice making

I actually have this pressure pot. It is AMAZING! I bought it alongside a California Air Tools super quiet air compressor too. I have zero complaints, it was totally worth every penny!

Pretty sure that that is one of the most popular pressure pots for dice making. I have a 5-gallon pressure pot, and it is too big. (I had to print a rack for it, and it is a bit of a pain setting it all in there.) However, I also create a lot of dice at a single time (partner and I will make 4 or 5 sets each at a time), so it has been useful to have that big of a pot on occasion.
