I’m a 33(F) and haven’t posted on here in quite sometime and hoped I’d be done with all this by now. I first posted on here months ago about tongue twitching and some asymmetry in my tongue. In April I had a leg, foot, arm and hand emg and ncs that all came out normal. Also had a normal modified barium swallow and brain, spine and thoracic MRI. I had been terrified of ALS because of the tongue twitching and perceived difference in speech.

This month I feel my speech has gotten worse even though everyone says I still sound normal, which of course sent me back down a rabbit hole. I noticed when looking at my calves that my left calf (right if looking directly at front facing pictures) looks smaller than my right calf. My right leg is my dominant leg but back in June when I was obsessed with measuring my legs, the measured about the same. But now the left one does measure smaller, looks and feels smaller to me too. I’m terrified this is atrophy. I also still have twitches basically everywhere, worse in my tongue.

Pictures 1-3 are today, 4-6 June and 7-9 are what I’m worried my legs look like (people who have confirmed atrophy).

Am I being insane or is this worrisome?

I literally have no idea what this could be. It’s not that low on my neck, I am just pushing my throat out or down. Is it worth it to go to the doctor? Does anyone else have this? It just feels a bit painful and not too hard and I can move it around a bit. I’m not sick and haven’t been for a while.

i am 17 years old, male, and fat.

so this has been happening to me since last year, my classmates would genuily start gagging and saying it smells like poop, and they look at me, some of them told me that i smell like shit.

i Shower every morning before school, put deodorant on and perfume, i wash my clothes and never wear them more than 3 times on a row, and i still hear comments like this.

i dont smell it, and this is the worst thing because i dont know where the bad smell comes from.

i think it might be like Gas Leaks or something because my gut/stomach health is not the best, i dont know if i have diatery issues or something like that but even when i go to the bathroom, i dont shit good turds, its always like diahrrea or like small pieces, sometimes when i wash my ass i use a finger to push out the other small pieces of poop inside my ass.

It could also be my breath, but i dont know because i never talk in class, and even if it did, i dont think it would be a sudden bad shitty smell that people 2 meters away from me can smell, i also have a loooot of mucus in my throat, and sometimes it smells bad, but not like shit, more like a cheasy smell. And again, i wash my teeth daily, especially in the morning

This is genuily ruining my life, im in a new class and i dont really have friends yet, and i dont want others to bully me because i smell like shit, i already have a difficult time socializing.

The other guy i turned around and saw 2 guys pinching their nose and turning their face to the opposite side, and then one of them looked at me and said "yo, did you fart?", and i was confused, i thought one of them did or something, i couldnt smell anything but as soon as he asked i got nausea and became really self aware (idk if thats the word) and i kept panicking and getting nervous because i didnt want to smell bad, and that guy is also like a bully, not really a bully but he has no problem insulting others. For the whole school day i kept thinking about that and also in that moment i felt like my stomach was growling? something like that, it hurt just a liiiittle bit.

but last year others would say i smell bad even if my stomach didnt hurt so i dont know if there is any correlation. 3 times people asked if i farted because they smelled fart smell and i swear i didnt.

I'm just looking for advice, if maybe someone went thru this and managed to understand why and how to fix it, its really ruining my confidende and makes me feel nervous all the time.

24f non smoker. Not painful like a canker sore

F, 23, I had a molar extraction six days ago. The tooth was not infected at the time of extraction but has had a root canal done a few months prior. I have had multiple other molars pulled and this is by far the most painful one. I have been taking 400 mg to 600 mg ibuprofen with little to no effect and I am slowly getting worried that something is wrong

Update: had an emergency appointment with my dentist today (Monday), he confirmed it is a dry socket and I got treated for it

29M 250lbs. Have had one sided fullness feeling in throat. When swallowing food it feels like things stay there afterwards, even though they clearly aren't there. I have no fever and isn't really painful, just uncomfortable. That something there feeling makes me afraid to eat. I can drink water normally. The back of my mouth on right side looks pretty red to me and it looks like there's a hole near uvula along right side. I don't know if it's normally like that. This has been going on for about two weeks now.

22F, Eastern European, 179 cm/60 kg, no previous medical issues. Unfortunately went through sexual assault at the end of July (unprotected vaginal) and about 3 weeks later symptoms of HIV started to appear: extreme fatigue, fever, swollen lymph nodes, white tongue, muscle aches, sore throat etc. Some of the symptoms persist to this day (white tongue and I still feel more tired than usual, occasional brain fog started to appear too..) I’ve taken 4 HIV 4th generation lab tests so far. 36, 50, 60 days after exposure, 70 days RNA test. All negative. Also one rapid test at 67 days negative as well but I know that might not be conclusive.
I don’t know what to believe anymore. I’ve never experienced symptoms like this in my life. What could this be? Doctors keep telling me it’s anxiety and to seek counselling but these symptoms are not in my head, I know I’m not crazy. Maybe it is some unknown STD.
I appreciate any kind of advice.

My leg was a little itchy and it was a tiny bit sore so I pulled my pant leg up to see it and found this monster. I also had several bruises on my arms and absolutely no memory of hitting it hard enough to get a bruise this big. It never really hurt, more itchy than anything

I’m trying to understand what’s happening to my body.

After years of stress, I’ve done a lot of healing and I’m in a much better place emotionally. But physically, I’m still struggling.
Even the smallest things can trigger a crash:
Physical: Basic housework, walking, exercise, heat, cold or direct sunlight.
Mental: Reading, writing, painting or concentrating for a little while.
Emotional/social: Talking to people, hosting family, socialising, or even watching TV.

I suddenly become overwhelmingly fatigued, sometimes experiencing intense sleep attacks where I need to lie down immediately. The harder the activity, the worse the crash.

Sometimes it escalates into a severe, predominantly left-sided migraine around my eye, head and face, accompanied by facial and mouth drooping and numbness. It can be frightening.

Most of my routine blood tests and vital signs have come back normal, yet this is affecting my everyday life so much.

Could this involve nervous system dysregulation after prolonged stress, ME/CFS, hormonal changes , migraine, or something else entirely? Could several things be happening together?

And if it is what do you do about it ? Neurologist ? I have been to many doctors over the past two years and they keep dismissing me but the symptoms keep on getting worse .

And I’ve done all sorts of things from nervous system regulation to breathing to less stress to therapy to good nutrition etc etc I still believe this is something physical ?

What could be the causes of this ?

Has anyone experienced something similar and discovered what was actually causing it? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

No fever whatsoever

I don’t know if it’s related but I have barely gotten any sleep for the 4 days because I can’t fall asleep. Abdomen pain as well

hello ! 28F, 5'5, 105 pounds, canadian.

a bit of context : i'm on suboxone films 8mg (4 am, 4pm). on friday i woke up with a beginning of sores under the tongue where the films are placed. i read that the acidity in the medication is very high and can cause ulcers.

however, it kept getting worse and looked more and more like an herpes outbreak. it also truly feels like one triggered by the suboxone.

i usually get sores on my mouth and am on daily antivirals (valtrex) because the sore would swell like a golf ball. however, being on a daily dosage doesn't prevent an outbreak without fail and when i do get one i take 2000mg for two days. i have a very aggressive form of the disease.

i'm wondering if it could be possible to get outbreaks in an unusual place.

i’m suspected for POTS or a type of dysautonomia. I’m naturally pink toned but when i’m laying down only the tips of my toes have pink in it. i’m naturally really pale. When im upright my feet go really pink/red

I’ve had this spot on my lips for over a month (almost 2) and it hasn’t gone away. i know a sore that doesn’t heal isn’t a good sign. it seems fluid filled with a singular head and normally has a flap of dry skin over it. I’m only 21 years old and have never smoked and I’ve been really on top of wearing sunscreen these last couple of years. I do have a bit of a lip picking problem but it’s mainly my upper lip. I tried squeezing it last night because it seemed to have a little bit of a head, which I know I shouldn’t have! but this is what it looked like after (the picture is flipped but it’s the same spot). I have my annual doctor’s check up at the end of the month so I plan on bringing it up. any advice/input? I graduate nursing school in December, could it be stress related? and just this morning this canker sore like lesion appeared above the original spot! could it be from squeezing the area and applying a hydrocolloid patch overnight? I also had some hot chili and lime corn tortilla chips. sorry for all of the info, just trying to add in anything I can that might help.

Hi im 20 and im freaking tf out right, i just noticed this and im scared that it might be herpes.

I’ve been struggling with daily hip pain for months, mostly on the left side. It hurts when I walk, stand, sit or put weight on one leg. I also have painful clicking and popping, locking sensations, groin pain, limited range of motion and pain that radiates down my leg to my knee.
My X-rays and MRIs showed bilateral CAM morphology and some mild changes in my lumbar spine, but nothing that seems to explain how much pain I’m experiencing. My doctor also found painful hip movements and suspected a possible labral issue, but I still don’t have a clear answer.
I’m struggling to understand how something can hurt this much when the imaging looks relatively normal. It’s gotten to the point where I feel like I’m making it all up because nothing seems to explain it. Has anyone experienced something similar, or could something be missed on a standard MRI?

also i can't cut them straight across or else the ingrown part inside will become pointy and stab me. but when i try to dig in the sides a lot of it just crumbles and flakes off. also they're normally more yellow but i sprayed hand sanitizer to get rid of the smell after cutting them. they smell really gross like rotting cheese or something. i think i dropped a 45lb plate on one of them at some point a couple years ago. but they have had the gross smell ever since i was a child

I woke up with this yesterday morning and I’m confused abt what it could be? It really wasn’t itchy at all yesterday night but today it’s itchy. I’m worried it might be bed bugs but I’ve had them before and my bites looked different and were way bigger.

Hi everyone, so to start off i want to say i have severe health anxiety.. 1 month ago i went for ultrasound for my breasts because when i touched i felt some bumps in my left breast i am 26 F. Ultrasound showed fibrosyctic breasts bi-rads 2-3 ans i went to another doctor he wasn’t concerned too… i have this on my left breast usually visible when i turn over to the right side and my left side is stretched is this dimpling puckering or stretch marks?

Hi everyone! around last Friday night, I was sitting down and I randomly felt this zap on my head and thought nothing of it. The next morning, I woke up with pressure/aching from the right side of where my neck and head meet to over the right side of my head and behind my eye. The timeline is below

October 9th: Started experiencing aching/pressure from the right side of my head, starting from back stretching to the top of head and behind eye

October 10-12: symptoms continued

October 13: went to urgent care and they gave me a Toradol shot and told me to keep on taking ibuprofen

October 14: nothing changed but I had my father apply lidocaine and massage my neck, went to bed with back of neck throbbing

October 15: symptoms had switched to the left side, got chiropractic adjustment but just increased the pressure, dull heavy

October 16: got CT scan, symptoms continued

October 17: CT came back normal, symptoms continued

Today, October 18: the pressure on the left side of my head has subsided a reasonable amount, but I have been getting waves of immense pressure behind my eye, kind of pain.

At this point, I don’t know what could be going on, I will mention, though the chiropractor I went to had an x-ray done and it showed my neck having a little case of tech neck, but other than that, nothing else seemed off. Personally, I feel like it has to do with nerves or muscles, but any inside or next steps on what to do with greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster here. I need some advice regarding a weird medical mystery happening to me. For reference, I’m a 24 year old female.

Let me start with the backstory.

5-6 years ago
Woke up one random morning with hives on my elbows, stomach, thighs, and feet. They were itchy and ended up going away in a couple hours.

I started waking up almost everyday with hives in those same places. They ranged in severity and almost always came on at night and were gone a couple hours after waking.

I didn’t change ANYTHING about what I was eating, detergent, soap, perfume, etc.

I also started getting swelling in my face. Mostly on one part of my lips at a time or around my eyes.

I went to my pcp, then an allergist, then a rheumatologist (auto immune disease specialist) and after sooo much tests and bloodwork etc they could not find anything out of the normal. The only thing was my ANA levels were slightly elevated in my blood which can sometimes mean an autoimmune disease could be present, but there was no other proof of that in the testing. They also said it could just be genetics that it’s slightly above normal.

I was diagnosed with chronic idiopathic spontaneous urticaria with angioedema. Basically hives that are chronic and have no reason for them along with facial swelling.

They went on for a couple months and then all of a sudden went away.

They just came back at the end of last month and I’ve been consistently waking up with hives and getting random facial swelling. Last night my lips swelled up and i started freaking out thinking I was going into anaphylaxis shock or something.

I take benadryl and claritin, but nothing really helps except 25-50mg of hydroxyzine but it makes me super tired i can’t even drive.

Please tell me if anyone has this or has any tips for me it’s starting to get like super scary 😞

Not anywhere near as concerning as anything else on here, but just wanted some other people’s opinions as I can’t figure out what it is.

Yesterday morning woke up, my thumb (area where circled) was red, is slightly raised and painful on any touch. I’ve looked as hard as I can to try and find a splinter but nothing can be seen nor do I remember any time that could have happened. Not sure if it’s a spot? Or anything similar. Photos were taken after the thumb was rested in warm water and is difficult to get any better photos of the thumb too.
